Lovely family hotel, great entertainment team with lots of day time activities, lots of basic food (hotdogs, burgers, and fresh fruit) available from pool bar, the main restaurant offered amazing food for breakfast, lunch and evening meals, great variety and excellent quality, very friendly staff, chefs very chatty, they were happy for us to have an early breakfast before the restaurant opened on the day we left, chef even came out to ask if we would like him to make us some sandwiches for the journey home. Good variety of branded alcoholic drinks, although the cocktails weren't the best. The hotel is in a quiet location, its about a 20minute walk to the nearest bay but we liked that, others may not. All in all this is a great hotel which I would happily return to.

Lovely couple and family friendly hotel, not too big, so not over crowded. Always a sun loungers available, as no reserving, pool times were 10 till 7 which was ideal. Food very nice, hotel nice and clean. Gorgeous view from balcony with a sea view room. Only noise which cannot be helped is when rooms around or above you are being cleaned. There was a barking dog over the road to hotel, which was constant at certain times, we came away to get away from barking dogs around our area at home, but obviously it didn’t spoil the holiday. Jumpers bar is excellent just over the road from hotel through the car park.

We stayed for 5 nights and, while there were certainly some things we really enjoyed, unfortunately the food lets this hotel down significantly. In my opinion, I would rate the hotel closer to 3 stars than 4. The food selection was limited, repetitive and, overall, not particularly good quality. A lot of the food was very bland, while many of the meat dishes were extremely greasy. On one evening, I actually ended up eating bread and cheese for dinner because everything was so greasy. Mexican night consisted of chilli con carne that was practically swimming in fat. There were also issues with food labelling, including BBQ sauce being labelled as gravy, which isn't ideal for guests with allergies or dietary requirements. The pool bar food was even more limited and repetitive. It was often greasy, and the selection was so small that we frequently ended up having to eat in the main restaurant instead, which is inconvenient when you're in wet swimwear. A lot of the hot food appeared to be leftovers or variations of breakfast items, such as bacon, eggs and sausages. There was very little that was particularly child-friendly both by the pool and in the restaurant. Something as simple as pizza would have made a huge difference for families with children. The coffee machines in the main restaurant also weren't switched on at lunchtime, which was disappointing. That said, there are definitely some very positive aspects to this hotel. The evening entertainment is fantastic. The children's disco is really welcoming, and the evening shows are genuinely entertaining for the whole family. The daytime pool games are also really good. Pluenie deserves a special mention - she is fantastic at her job – she is always friendly, engages brilliantly with the children and makes everyone feel welcome. The location is lovely and peaceful, which we really appreciated. The pool area is a good size with plenty of sunbeds, and, unusually, there was absolutely no need to reserve a sunbed early in the morning – a huge plus! We also really liked having tables alongside the sunbeds, which made it much easier when having drinks or snacks around the pool. However, the pool decking does need attention. A lot of the flooring is wooden slats, which become extremely hot in the sun, and we noticed several broken or loose/wobbly sections that could present a trip hazard. The hotel itself is aesthetically pleasing, particularly the restaurant and bar areas, but some parts of the rooms and reception areas are looking tired and would benefit from modernisation. It feels as though the hotel has started a refurbishment but hasn't quite finished it yet. The Wi-Fi was another disappointment. It didn't work on our balcony and was very unreliable around the pool. One of our favourite little discoveries was the sports bar. It's slightly tucked away, but it's a real hidden gem if you want to escape the main areas and sit down to watch some football or other sport. The staff are open to requests. After researching, it seems that the Spanish hotel star-rating system is largely based on a checklist of facilities and amenities rather than necessarily reflecting the quality or overall standard of the hotel. However, based purely on our experience, I wouldn't personally consider this to be a 4-star standard. We stayed for 5 nights, and I don't think we could have stayed much longer, primarily because of the food. There are some genuinely lovely aspects to this hotel, particularly the location, pool, entertainment and staff, but unfortunately the food is such a significant part of an all-inclusive holiday that it really lets the whole experience down.

We loved our stay at Alua llla de Menorca. My son loved the activities and it was easy to get a sun bed each day. Some of the sporting facilities could do with some TLC. Food was good. More choice at snack bar would be good. Staff worked so hard and were always polite. Room as well maintained and comfortable

Lovely quiet location, only a short walk into the little town and down to the sea. The hotel was very clean throughout, all staff were friendly, helpful, polite and had brilliant language skills. There was a wide choice of food and drinks at each meal time and lots of choice at the pool bar during the day too. A good range of activities on during the day and the evening entertainment was generally good. We loved that there was no silly reserving of sun beds and there were plenty of available sun beds and parasols around the pool every day of our stay. We were on the top floor, which gave fantastic views of the coastline. Would definitely stay here again.
