Alua Illa de Menorca

Very cleay hotel in a pleasant small resort Food was always well presented but the meats lacked quality, but there was always something to eat to our tastes. Staff are very pleasant, Hotel is comfortable and clean. Nice touch to leave wine and champagne in our room for anniversary, thank you. Would love to return, Hotel is in a small p,easant town its lovely walks and p,aces to visit. Free bus to Punta Prima is a great help, bus to Mahon much appreciated.we look to return september 2027

This was my first time in Menorca. I didn't know what to expect. The resort is quiet, there are no cafe's, restaurant's, shops, and stores closeby however there is a mini supermaket nearby. I would say that if you would like a relaxing and restful week's holiday this hotel will suit you. Having said that if you do wish to explore and see the sights you can do so by booking a taxi, transfers or taking a bus. The customer service was exemplary, superbly led by Eduardio who was approachable and friendly, more importantly on arrival he had resolved an issue very quickly. Silvia was thorough, professional and kind in booking two excursions, one of which was the Don Juan Catamaran tour along the harbour, and the Binibecca fishing village which I would both recommend. Rebecca and Niya (hopefully I have spelt her name correctly) was attentive, effecient and helpful too. There was another lady, apologies who had checked me in at registration. Well done to the team. To note they were other team members however I didn't have any dialogue with them. The room that was allocated to me was clean and tidy. Overall the hotel was clean too. I am very picky when it comes to food and hygiene. I can confirm that the dining area and surfaces was clean, there was a wide range of food and beverages on offer, and I was very pleased with all the meals. On one occassion I had used the gym. The equipment/apparatus were fine. The swimming pool/area was full of guests. As I didn't use it I cannot comment. Likewise there was entertainment, I am unable to comment as I didn't attend. Room for improvement:- As I have eluded to already the hotel is clean, however some parts is very much outdated and needs to be more modernised. There are only 2 lifts which are very small. On a number of occassions I had walked up or down the stairs which was fine, but some of the guests weren't mobile so they had to wait ages which is not ideal. With regards to booking a taxi it is pretty straightforward via the reception desk. Senior Management/Management needs to enforce the rules that all taxi drivers come out and announce the room numbers so that guests knows whether it is their ride or not. I had witnessed a few times where they sat for several minutes and you are having to ask. On another occasion 3 people bypassed the other guests waiting and went into a taxi which wasn't for them. We loved our long weekend break so much, we’ve booked to come back while we’re still here. Approx 15 mins from airport, checked in an hour early but was able to check in to our room. We cannot fault a thing. The staff are lovely, the all inclusive food is fresh, flavourful and full of variety, not your average all inclusive. The rooms are clean, spacious and have air con. We had a sea view room and honestly, the view is what’s bringing us back. There is uninterrupted views of the sea & Spanish homes, it’s stunning. The evening entertainment is light and enjoyable. The hotel appears popular with retirees, which added to our experience as there was no excessive loud noise. There isn’t much else to do around the hotel but relax which is exactly what we needed. We had a massage at the sister hotel 2 mins down the road and will be returning to have another next year, it was amazing. The pool was big enough to swim some leisurely laps. With frequent pool entertainment if you wished to join in. The sea is approx 3 minutes walk away for stunning coastal views via a small hill. There are lifts and ramps so all areas are fully accessible. We think it’s fantastic value for money. We cannot wait to come back next September.

I love coming to S’algar which I have been doing since I was 12 yrs old. This is my 2nd stay at this hotel under 2 different management, but regardless it always a great experience, ALL the staff, be it reception, housekeeping, entertainment or restaurant greet you with a smile, and nothing ever seems to be a problem, however bizarre the request is. Particular shout out to a very tall, slim handsome young man, drives a Merc, who works at reception- he can never do enough for the guests, and always has time to spend a few min’s listening to your day. Also to Tom and Timeo - from O’club - what a comedy duo they are - such fun to watch and they make what seems to be the most mundane game or activity a huge laugh - so hats off to them - it must sometime feel a thankless job when no one wants to join in. Thanks you for yet another great stay in Menorca and see you in a few weeks.

Just returned from a magnificent week at the Alua Illa de Menorca.. This is our 13th time at this hotel, and the first time this late in the year, but quite possibly the best holiday we’ve had here… We’ve been to many other hotels in different countries over the years, but we are always drawn back to this amazing island, and this lovely hotel, and beautiful resort for a chill out and relaxing break.. We were worried that the weather might be unpredictable this late in the season, but were greeted with clear blue skies and full sunshine every day, which made a huge difference obviously, but the staff as always, work tirelessly to keep the hotel spotless and we really enjoy the choices available at all meal times, ‘Jumpers’ bar in the Sports area, is great to enjoy a late afternoon G&T, and you are always greeted with a smile by the lovely girl behind the bar.. The thing that makes this hotel stand out from all others, is the staff, reception, bar staff and right down to the housekeeping are always so cheerful and go out of their way to make you feel at home, and go way beyond the call of duty to make this hotel somewhere you want to keep coming back to, and on talking to other guests, it’s a team that obviously works, because countless people return year after year, and is a hotel we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend if you need to recharge your batteries.. Well done to everyone at the hotel, we are already planning when we can squeeze a return visit 😜
