The pool didn’t open till 11 o’clock which is late for a pool to open was we had a baby, we had to carry the pram up the stairs to get to the hotel was it didn’t have a ramp

Beautiful location at the top of a quiet resort. Staff were welcoming and resort is nice and small compared to others we have been to. The room was what you’d expect for self catering with fridge and washing up supplies provided, bins were emptied every day. The view from the balcony was wonderful as we stayed in 1B. Air conditioning unit smelled a bit musty but we had the windows open a lot instead of air con. The pool is a nice size and doesn’t get too busy. There are plenty of sun beds and the area is kept spotlessly clean. Hotel provides transfers which were useful and easy to book. I wish we could have stayed there longer! I even managed to finish my book and do a swap in reception for a great read that I will pass onto the next person and pay it forward. Really lovely little place and we’d love to go back.

We arrived home today after another fantastic 10-night stay at AluaSun Mediterráneo, and once again it did not disappoint. This was our fifth year returning, and we've already booked again for next May, which probably tells you everything you need to know! We stayed in one of the bungalows overlooking the pool, which is ideal for families. The kids can easily head back to the room whenever they want, while we can still keep an eye on them around the pool area. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and perfectly located within the complex. What makes this place so special for us is how peaceful and relaxed it is. Even during the height of the school holidays, it never feels overcrowded or hectic. If you're looking for a chilled-out family holiday rather than a busy resort atmosphere, this place is hard to beat. It was also great to see that the hotel has continued investing in improvements. The new canopy outside the restaurant is a fantastic addition and has made a real difference in keeping the seagulls away at breakfast time. Another excellent change was the relocation of the children's play park to the main area. For families with younger children, this works so much better than the previous location and makes it much easier to keep an eye on them while enjoying the facilities around the hotel. The entertainment team worked incredibly hard throughout our stay and were brilliant with the children. Special mentions go to Zack and Ray, who were both fantastic and really engaged with the kids throughout our holiday. A huge thank you also to Arnau on Reception. Once again, he was absolutely brilliant. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and any query or request was dealt with quickly and professionally. Staff like Arnau are a big reason why guests continue to return year after year. There was entertainment on three evenings each week, including a saxophone player and a couple of singers, which we thoroughly enjoyed. On the other nights, we made good use of the sister hotel's entertainment programme. The complimentary bus service is another fantastic addition. We booked trips to Punta Prima and Binibèquer and also used it to visit the night market in Mahón, which is an absolute must if you're staying in the area. The on-site restaurant, La Trattoria, is another real highlight. We usually eat there once or twice during our stay and also make good use of the takeaway service. The food is always very good, and it's a great option for a relaxed evening. The only suggestion we would make is that the menu could do with a refresh. In the five years we've been visiting, the menu has remained largely unchanged, so introducing some new dishes and seasonal specials would be a welcome improvement and give returning guests even more reason to keep coming back. There were only a couple of very minor disappointments. The road train wasn't running this year, which our children had always loved in the evenings. Also, the evening entertainment at the main hotel felt a little quieter than in previous years, with no party dances at the end of the night. Ray kindly explained the reasons behind this, but we'd love to see these return in the future, as both children and adults always seemed to enjoy joining in, even if it was only for the last 10 minutes of the evening. Overall, another wonderful holiday at a place we genuinely love returning to year after year. The combination of the peaceful atmosphere, excellent staff, family-friendly layout and continual improvements keeps us coming back. We would highly recommend AluaSun Mediterráneo to anyone looking for a relaxing, laid-back family holiday in Menorca. We can't wait to return next May!

Lovely big pool, entertainment excellent, Richie is great with the kids and adults alike. My boys lovely the magic carpet especially. Fantastic views from the front of the hotel and magical walk down through the forest paths down to the coves
