AluaSun Mediterraneo

Stayed at the AluaSun Mediterraneo at the beginning of June 2025 as part of a 4 person strong group. Based on certain reviews, and frankly the price point, my expectations were for a very basic hotel. But I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel has a rather nice restaurant that serves very delicious pizza from a wood fired oven, the quality of coffee was very good, and a limited but absolutely acceptable selection of cocktails and drinks. The rooms were *very* tidy and clean. We enjoyed the balcony with views of the rather wild looking nature of Menorca. I do not recall the names, but the staff in the reception were very friendly and welcoming. We wanted to explore the island, so had hired a car with plenty of parking spaced at the hotel and the surrounding streets. If you wanted to spend the holiday in the hotel then OK, but if I am not sure how easy it is to travel around the island or visit Mahon, the capital city, considering that the location of the hotel is a bit remote (which is a good thing if you're looking for a quiet place). So, as long as you're aware of these facts, I do not hesitate to recommend AluaSun Mediterraneo.

Lovely break at this resort. We enjoyed the quiet location. We opted for self catering. The kitchenette is very small which makes cooking a challenge but we managed - even though we had only one socket for three appliances (kettle, microwave, toaster). No ice box in fridge however bar staff were accommodating with our requests for ice. Reception staff extremely helpful. Staff very friendly. We ate in La Trattoria twice during our stay and had good food. Our room was 21B so we were upstairs and overlooked the surrounding countryside rather than the pool - which we preferred. Nice, private south-facing balcony.

We've had a lovely 4 night stay in this wonderful hotel. We paid for a bungalow with direct pool access and so pleased we did! With private sun loungers and garden area and everything was exceptionally clean. S'Aglar is a VERY secluded area, but perfect for relaxing. Small mini market near by who will deliver your shopping and you back to the hotel, lovely owners. We had bed and breakfast and breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice. If you are looking for pure relaxation, clean secluded accommodation for your stay and wonderful staff this is for you. We will go back.

We stayed here for a week recently. We were in room 21A, ground floor, garden view. After a very difficult year we only wanted one thing from this holiday, relaxation, and this hotel delivered this perfectly. It always felt quiet and the fact that there was no constant music around the pool, added to this. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived, so we sat in the sunshine, had a few drinks and something to eat at the pool bar. We thought quality and prices were spot on.. The room was a great size, one bedroom apartment with a sitting area and a kitchen, fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle all included. If we had one small gripe it was that the air conditioning wasn’t that powerful. This was included in the price, as was the safe. Pool towels could be hired for a €10 deposit. Never an issue to find sun-beds. As I said previously the complex felt quiet. The complex is in a isolated postion , about a mile downhill into the resort and a supermarket, well priced and who will take you and your shopping back to the complex. We were half board. Breakfast was always good, evening meal a bit repetitive, but we always found something to eat. Not always as hot as we would normally expect. The star of the buffet was Mariana, a credit to the hotel. We found every member of staff always happy and willing to help. We’ve found our September bolt hole and I’m sure we will return here.
