What can I say! What an amazing place! Made even more superb by the wonderful entertainer Richi!! Such energy, the kids absolutely love his fun activities by the pool!! Don't hesitate, book it! Big thanks Richi!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at AluaSun Mediterraneo. It’s family friendly and not overly busy which is perfect for us. There’s no rushing for sun beds, at 11am you can still get half the sun beds. The entertainment run by Richi is great. He’s a fantastic entertainer and makes your stay by the pool more enjoyable. He’s great with both kids and adults. He offers a mix of water polo, water basketball, aqua gym and magic carpet. My kids were always excited to go out and join in, The buffet offers a range of good food, and something different every day. The cakes that the chef makes are delicious. The evening entertainment is mainly at the sister hotel, but it’s only a 10 minute walk away. The town of s’algar itself is very quiet. It’s not a hustle and bustle place. If you are looking for a beach or a bit of a busier vibe, then punta prima is a 10 minute taxi ride, or mahon 20 minutes. Would 100% recommend for families looking for a quiet get away.

The hotel is lovely, clean, well maintained and the staff are a real credit - especially Lara and Arnau. However the hotel is in a quiet residential area. If you are bed and breakfast as we were, you HAVE to hire a car!! There is one restaurant in the village within walking distance and the Italian restaurant on site. Both are great, especially the restaurant in the village. However, there is no shop/supermarket on site and you would not want to eat at the Italian restaurant onsite every night!! For this reason the car is essential and we hired one for four days through the hotel reception. With the car, we were able to explore the beautiful beaches that Menorca has to offer and the simply phenomenal restaurants in nearby Sant Lluis. All of the reviews on here and Google mention Richie because he asks the guests to leave a review! The aqua activities he runs are great however there is no entertainment for children of an evening. You can use the sister hotel for this although we didn’t so might be worth there in mind if you have young children. The hotel runs a free bus to the beach although this was Fully Booked for the first few days, which is why we felt the need to hire the car. We also heard the local beach is very rocky and deep (unlike Son Bou and Cala Galdana) We would not return as there is nothing nearby/no beach in S’Algar/shop onsite/kids activities.

Fantastic hotel. Beautiful smell from the wood fired pizza oven in the restaurant. Plenty of sunbeds, nice calm atmosphere. Very international. Buffet breakfast is perfect with plenty of options - although missing cucumber! Poolside activities were just enough - not too much. Great games lead by Richie, plus aqua gym that made us work off our lunch. I have to say how diligent Richi was - he could conversate with guests whilst running the games, making sure scores were kept and guests were ok. All staff I encountered at this hotel were hard working and paid attention to detail. This is a classy establishment, chilled vibes and caring staff to match. If you prefer more noisy action packed holidays this place is not for you. This place is for relaxation.
