Apartments TRH Tirant Playa

Na Menorcu jsme se moc těšili. Lákala nás krátká doba letu a krásná příroda. Moře a celý ostrov je krásný. Měli jsme úžasné počasí, v moři mezi Vámi plavou rybky. Na výlety je také kam jet. Ale co se týče ubytování, to jsme byli zklamaní. Samotné apartmány jsou pěkné a prostorné. Úklid však jen 2x za pobyt. U bazénu čisto a i dostatek lehátek a klid. Ovšem jídlo byla katastrofa. A to, že opravdu nejsme vybíraví. Ale prostě každý den k obědu hranolky + něco smaženého k nim... To se nedá a natož, když jedete se třemi dětmi. Snídaně stejné každý den. Ovoce jen meloun, banan, broskve. Zelenina rajče a okurka... Letos jsme jeli s CK Firo tour, slečna delegátka se sice snažila vše vyřídit, pokud jste jí zavolali. Ale říci, že k Vám na hotel nepřijede, protoýe to má daleko, když celý ostrov je velký cca 50km x 13km... S CK Fischer se nám toto nikdy nestalo. Ale každý má jiné zkušenosti a za to hotel nemůže. Co se týče tedy hotelu, tak ho doporučuji tomu, kdo miluje smažená jídla a hlavně hranolky.

Our experience at TRH Tirant Playa was unfortunately disappointing, and a large part of this stems from the fact that Jet2 presented the hotel to us as a like-for-like alternative to Mar de Menorca Apartments in Es Canutells, which they told us in May they no longer used. We were specifically advised that TRH Tirant Playa was very similar and family-friendly. Having stayed from 7th–14th August, I have to say that we did not find this to be the case. We travelled with our daughter, who has autism and additional needs, and this is an important factor when choosing our holidays. We work hard and save for our annual holiday, and although an all-inclusive holiday during peak season is expensive, we choose this type of holiday because it gives our daughter the flexibility to choose what she wants to eat and helps make the experience less stressful for her. Unfortunately, the pool environment was not what we expected from a family-friendly resort. There were quite a few rules, including no inflatables and no ball games, which meant the atmosphere felt much more relaxed and subdued rather than fun and family-orientated. For our daughter, that made a significant difference. We were also disappointed with the breakfast buffet. The choice of fruit was limited, and the cooked breakfast items were not particularly appetising. On a couple of occasions, we also struggled to find a table to sit at during breakfast. The lunch and evening buffets were considerably better, with a wider choice and generally tasty, decent-quality food. We also felt that the bar service was not particularly welcoming, which was disappointing given the amount we had paid for an all-inclusive holiday. The evening buffet starting at 8pm was another issue for us, as this was simply too late for our daughter, who isn't a big eater. As a result, we chose to eat out at local restaurants on several occasions. While we enjoyed the local restaurants, we did not feel that we should have needed to do this given the cost of an all-inclusive holiday. Another significant issue was ants in our room. They were a constant problem, particularly after our daughter had eaten snacks, and I found myself repeatedly sweeping them up to prevent them from swarming around. That said, there were some positives. A lovely lady on reception followed up on an email from my partner and made sure our room was ready when we arrived shortly after 1pm, despite check-in not being until after 3pm. We also found the lifeguard, who also worked in the restaurant, to be friendly and helpful. Overall, I think there may be a disconnect between Jet2 and the management regarding who this accommodation is best suited to. During our stay, it was noticeable that the resort appeared to cater heavily towards Spanish families and their way of life, which is absolutely fine in itself. However, based on our experience, I don't feel it should necessarily be marketed by Jet2 as a suitable alternative for British families looking for a family-focused, all-inclusive holiday. Our biggest disappointment is that we were sold this as a like-for-like alternative to the accommodation we had originally booked. For families with children who have additional needs, those differences matter enormously. We went on holiday hoping for an enjoyable family experience, but unfortunately this wasn't the experience we had expected or paid for.

We were a family of 6 4 adults 2 children aged 22 month and 6 years. Jet 2 had moved us to this hotel as a “like for like “ all inclusive holiday. We arrived mid afternoon to be told there would be no food until 8pm. We had to go to the supermarket! One lady managing the bar and restaurant reasonable until 721school children arrived, This hotel is not geared up for “ all inclusive!” There are no play areas for children. The featured photo on Jet 2 site ( now removed), showed a play area that no longer exists.The grass areas are more shrubbery with flowers unsuitable to walk on. The pools and dining room were close in proximity- We could not let the toddler out of close reach for his safety. We had been warned that a group of young people would be there , but not 71! They completely dominated the pool and dining areas. It was suggested that we used the restaurant and pool around their schedule The bar closed at 10 pm. They ran out of Tonic to accompany our gin. We felt uncomfortable asking for evening drinks- as if the all inclusive was a nuisance. Sheets were to be changed in the 4 th dayl Towels were small, thin and shabby. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I could go on… The plus side were most of the staff were polite and friendly. The location was stunning but not practical for families on holiday -

Lovely hotel, views are beautiful. Air conditioning in both rooms at no extra cost, not a massive choice of food like some hotels but plenty to choose from and all very tasty. Staff are very helpful and serve with a smile. Supermarket just down the road a 2 min walk, beach just down the road if you want more than around the pool and baking in the sun a lovely little bar called bjs 15 min taxi drive pool table, darts, sports screen and food is unreal, the harbour is about the same in a taxi with bars and restaurants and certain days a market. Nothing major to complain about could do with a bit of music around the pool and one staff member could do with a personality change but all in all we have really enjoyed it.
