Barcelo Nura

Barceló Nura was an amazing place to relax and unwind. We spent four days in Swim-Up Room 428. Luckily, the hotel was generally very quiet, so not many people used the pools, which made the surroundings incredibly peaceful. We had breakfast and dinner included. There weren't as many food choices as you would find at an all-inclusive hotel, but there was definitely enough variety for us. The dinner booking system was perhaps a little annoying at first, but it actually created a more relaxed atmosphere, with no queues for food or excessive noise. The hotel is located by the coast, with the beach aabout a 20-minute walk away. It was a great choice for myself and my teenage daughter to relax and spend some quality time together. A definite plus is that there isn't much going on during the day, so it's very peaceful. However, if you're looking for entertainment and activities, this probably isn't the right place for you. I also wouldn't particularly recommend it for families with young children. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I honestly can't say anything negative about it.

My wife and I have stayed at Barceló Nura on quite a few occasions now and on every one the hotel has maintained its very high standards. More specifically the quality and variation of the food served at all meals improves each year. Also, all staff are exceptionally friendly and always available to help when necessary. We always feel well rested and looked after during our stay and can’t wait for our next visit.

From the outside looks very average, if not almost like a bad block of flats. But don't be fooled as behind the walls is a tranquil stunning space. It really is a peaceful haven. We stayed in room 410, a junior suite with own private (shared) pool. I wouldn't do it again. Nothing wrong with pool it was lovely, don't be put off by fact its not heated. Its not cold, its very very nice to get out of the hot sun into it. Glad it wasn't warm. The issue is, if your neighbour is in its just too small. We went in, then they went in etc etc. You feel very conscious not to swim onto their half! If they are on the decking sun bathing it feels like you are being rude going over one side to look at them.... even though that is not the intention at all. If you booked a room with another couple next door it would be great mind. We didn't get told you need to book in each night even though half board. Thought it was odd when we got to desk they almost wanted to turn us away. Food is very good. Plenty of choice and the choice is different each day. From the back of the hotel short walk, literally 2 mins to the sea. However it's over the Menorcan rocks there is no beach access. We walked to beach at Punta Prima took around 35 mins and we went other way to Binibeca that took a bit longer. Both you could get to on the land train though. Round trip 7 euros each. Air con isnt the best but if you leave on all day its fine. Just watch out for the cleaners who must be told to pull the key cards out of the holder just enough to look still in but out just enough to knock off the electrics!! Had to push the card back down every day to ensure the room was cold! Would I got back? Not sure, if closer to a beach yes. If you like staying at the pool (main ones) then you will love this hotel. Both main pools are quiet and always in the sunshine. For the money fully expect fresh bottles of water in room each day, this doesn't happen. Also the mini bar is all chargeable which again for the price expect the first one at least to be complimentary. Had to ask 3 times for more coffee and milk as this was replaced but only with one pod each time!

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. The rooms were laid out well, we had a room with a semi-private pool. Spa was lovely and booking a slot ensures no overcrowding. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food choice and quality was very good. Loved it and looking forward to going back!

This is the only hotel that we have stayed at that we felt sorry to leave. All the staff were excellent. An absolute beautiful experience - thank you Barcelo Nura.
