We stayed as a family of 4 in a 2 bedroom apartment and paid for breakfast. Room was comfortable and cleaned to a good standard everyday, we took tea bags with us and bought drinks and lunch from the local supermarket. If I were to go again, I wouldn’t pay for the breakfast. We found the hot food to be cold/warm most mornings and the coffee was unpleasant. We did have lunch in the hotel one day and this was very nice. Local restaurants were good and we enjoyed going to Fornells. For us, it was the sun bed wars that took its toll, towels were on beds by 7am and there was not enough shade or umbrellas. This became quite frustrating and breakfast finishes by 10, so to get a sunbed and breakfast, you’ll need to be up early! Staff were helpful and we saw some good entertainment and enjoyed drinks at the bar in the evening. For a 3 star this is a good hotel and we had a nice holiday but we would not return.

More than exceeded our expectations. Really lovely family friendly hotel, the views are stunning and lovely sunsets. Great breakfast with varied selection and lovely tapas style lunch with lots of choice. Great pool, just not enough sun loungers so you have to be up early to reserve but some often became free later in the afternoon and there’s are sun-loungers on the front lawn overlooking the sea too. All the staff were friendly, great cocktails and there was some great music acts on through the week in the bar area. One bed apartment was large, well equipped, clean and air con a blessing! We loved the location having stayed in the south of the island before we think we preferred the north. Quieter unspoilt beaches and towns. Fornells is a lovely small harbour town with great restaurants and a few shops and Es Mercadal is definitely worth a visit the nightmarket on a Thursday was fantastic with all local craft stalls selling everything. Both easy to get to a 10/20 minute by bus, bus stop 2 minute walk from the hotel. Great restaurants in the resort too we loved La Frañola (book ahead) and Bar Okapi was great too. Very well stocked supermarket 5 minute walk from the hotel. The beach is 15 minute walk (walk over the wooden board walk for the larger nicer beach. The first small beach has a lot of seaweed currently and wasn’t as clean. The larger beach was stunning) Behind the beach was a lovely nature reserve with pond terrapins. You can also walk down some steep steps to a rocky cove right outside the hotel for great snorkelling. We’ll definitely be back thank you for a wonderful holiday.

I've just returned from a truly lovely stay at Tramontana Park Hotel in Platjes de Fornells. First of all the hotel photos are really true to life and it is a calm relaxing atmosphere throughout. Every single member of staff from reception to cleaning staff were amazing and friendly. The hotel has a bar and a restaurant, the bar is amazing to have a drink and watch the views. We were b&b and the breakfast was delicious, great variety and all really tasty. There were churros, tortilla, chorizo, pastries, yoghurt etc plus also the usual English offering. We had a 2 bedroom apartment with a seaview and it was stunning! The views and sunsets are spectacular from the balcony and main bedroom. The apartments are a good size with two single beds in one room and a double in the main room. The kitchenette was well stocked with a fridge/freezer, crockery, utensils and a kettle (no coffee machine/cafetiere though). There is a two ring hob and a microwave although we didn't use them because we ate out every night. The hotel pool was really clean and lovely to swim in, it did get busy but it is the summer holidays so thats expected. People were quite petty about sunbeds, not the hotels fault just the people staying there because in the first week it wasn't an issue. The resort has 5 restaurants, not including the hotel restaurant which is excellent quality as well, all within a short walking distance. It is up a small hill but honestly it's more than do-able! Our favourite was Cafe del Nord, it offered amazing local food and seafood. To get around the island I would suggest hiring a car- we used Autovictoria, they meet you in the airport carpark and thats also where you return the car to - the resort is a little isolated but there is a bus stop where you can get to most places and obviously taxis are available and the quietness is it's charm! Menorca is a wonderful place and we absolutely loved our stay here, thank you so much Comitas Tramontana, book it, you won't regret it!
