Vše v naprostém pořádku, nádherné ubytování, čisto, krásná koupelna včetně fénu, výměna ručníků, hezké posezení na balkoně...,jídlo výborné a příjemný personál. Krásná příroda okolo, Mohu jen doporučit a určitě se ráda vrátím na stejné místo:))

Just returned back from a week away! We had 2 young kids and a 1 year old with us. Ignore the negative reviews, it’s perfect for a cheap family getaway! Food was lovely, a mexican one night with tacos and korean/chinese one night. The veggie lasagne was lovely! It would have been nice to have more veggie options but i could make do with the options. Only niggling bits for me were the sofa bed was faulty and took hours for someone to fix it. The bathroom flooded one day when one of us showered. We also had a buggy for our 1 year old and was really inconvenient as the hotel has a lot of stairs so my partner had to carry the buggy up and down flights of stairs. It would have been nice for water bottles to be replenished every day. The entertainment was great, staff amazing (although one of the restaurant staff gave my 1 year old a row for throwing food on the floor, which obviously can’t be helped as she’s literally 14 months old). I would come to this hotel again as kids get older.

I read the mixed reviews before staying so I wasn’t sure what to expect, on arrival reception was clean and the reception staff were the stand outs for us, super friendly and welcoming so we started to get excited about our stay. We arrived around midday and our room was only going to be ready at 3pm so we went down to the pool, I had packed a carry on bag with swimming essentials, we all changed and reception kept our bags in a luggage room. First impressions were good as the bar that opens at 6pm is nice and modern but the pool and entertainment area could do with some updating, the Astro turf grass isn't ideal for around a pool as it is squishy and gets quite dirty, I wasn’t a fan of it at all but I suppose it would be very costly to replace. As mentioned if it rains there the areas are quite slippery, we paid extra for a premium location room which I would recommend, we booked this because it was more modern. We don’t mind walking but some of the rooms are super high up so I imagine with a pram or small children it must be taxing going up and down all day. Our room was clean and we got clean towels and beds made everyday. The cleaning staff were very good. If you really look around in the bathroom you can see there are little maintenance jobs that need doing but again I can’t complain considering the price point. After we changed for swimming we walked around and the slides were good but our kids used them on the first day and then we preferred the beach, we didn’t really use the pool either. The kids swam once and we used some sun loungers that were higher up and not around the pool. The beach was the highlight for us, our kids loved snorkelling and the water was so warm and calm and clear, we loved it. As mentioned in previous reviews there are lots of nudists! There are a few options for pools, a quieter one in the neighbouring complex but like I said we preferred the sea. Cala Tirant is a lovely beach and we had good weather except for the last two days but we were amazed how rough the water got, we walked over to the Casa Tirant restaurant for drinks and we watched the wind surfers. Our kids loved feeding the turtles and the fish and we even saw an eel. The area was quiet as we visited in October but there are a few restaurants around and we had a lovely lunch just a few minutes walk away. We enjoyed visiting fornells and did a boat trip which was amazing, you can order a taxi from reception and a taxi takes about 15mins and costs about 8 euros each way. Coming back to the hotel it was very easy to get a taxi from the taxi area in town. We had a great lunch at Petit in fornells, the wagu burger is super good. The food at Club Fergus was good, people mention flies and wasps and there are loads but they seem to be everywhere not just there so perhaps just the time of year. We only ate at the snack bar once, they only do burgers, chips and hot dogs. We had chips and my son had a hot dog, the food was ok, the man serving the food was very nice. What put me off going back there was there is a bin right at the counter and it stank! It smelled really gross so that was off putting but when we went past there again in the evening it smelled a bit better but I don’t know why it was right there by the food counter. The buffet breakfast was very good and overall we enjoyed the buffet food, we ate out a few times but if you are on a budget you won’t go hungry. Like any buffet it can be repetitive but we always found something to eat and I really enjoyed all the fish dishes. My daughter is a very difficult eater so so breakfast was her best meal. The drinks were ok, very nice san Miguel beer on tap, wine was not to my taste so I mixed the white with sparkling water a dinner to take the edge off but as a wine drinker I battled with the wine so I was drinking beer shandies or gin and tonics. They also serve Cava on the all inclusive. Cocktails are out of a machine, you can get gin and tonic which was good and house spirits and mix, I bought a few premium cocktails in the evening from the other bar and the pina colada was great. There is an on site self service laundrette so that was handy, it’s €5 to wash and €4 to dry, we packed our own beach towels but you can get there for a refundable deposit. I did one load of washing while we were there and it was nice to give our towels a good wash so they lasted the week. The supermarket is also a short stroll away so we went and topped up on snacks for the kids. There were also a lot of smokers around but that’s not the hotels fault but sometimes when we were eating outside you’d get a blast of smoke from people smoking opposite the eating area. I can’t really comment on the entertainment as we only caught bits of it but I saw games going on in the day and the kids gaming room opens 3-6pm and again at 9pm. Overall, I would say club fergus is not a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I hope this review is helpful as I wasn’t sure what to make of it, I always read a lot of reviews before I choose where to go so I wanted to make this as detailed as possible, we have stayed in ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ before and you can’t compare the all inclusive but for what we paid for a week away I can’t complain at all and as a break it was lovely. As I mentioned before the beach was great and my kids used that all day everyday, we walked around a lot so would pop out for lunches and drinks. We had a lovely week and really enjoyed Menorca. I would not stay again but that is because we would go explore another area. If you are looking for a budget week in the sun I would recommend it as overall it was as clean as it could be and the staff were pleasant and the food was good and the beach and the turtles are a real highlight.

First the good bits: Menorca style accommodation with old fashioned shutters, so we didn’t need to use aircon. Lovely. Rooms very clean, a comfortable superking bed. Bathroom and toiletries excellent. Bathroom cleaned daily by a very efficient, lovely young lady. Clean fluffy white towels daily . A small kitchenette with fridge, hob s and sink was good, but no equipment or crockery. A good view out to sea from a spacious veranda. The staff, with the exception of the Chef, were friendly lovely and very helpful. Now the down side: When we arrived, the entrance hall was noisy and busy with arrivals and a background of canned music. Not the peaceful retreat we needed. To be fair I booked the wrong hotel due to the similarity of name in the same chain, doing it in a rush and confusing the web sites. It is a family hotel geared up for children with noisy entertainment into the evening, not a relaxing adult getaway. The accommodation is built on the side of a steep hill with steps and steep slopes to most rooms. We were only half way up and it sapped our energy, young fit people were complaining, especially because there is no one to help with luggage. Though to be fair we did get help but that was not the norm - a concession to age. There were no places other than our balcony to relax and chill without children and noise or lined up like sardines! I like children, but they are noisy, nothing wrong with that, but I just don’t choose to relax with them en masse. The sun beds round the pool were lined up with approx. 6inches between them, not my idea of fun! The campus didn’t look as though it had been power hosed for months and there was artificial grass round the pool that had seen better days. However our room was very clean. I have multiple allergies snd for me the buffet style food was a constant challenge. I informed the hotel twice well ahead or arrival but they claimed the didn’t receive my emails. I am allergic to cow dairy, wheat, pork, beef, the nightshade family and mushrooms. The food labelling was not explained to me until i had lived on rice for 24 hours and eaten things for breakfast that were not ideal because I couldn’t get anyone to translate and tell me what ingredients were in various dishes. There was a wide selection of food but very little I could eat except fruit, some veg and if available grilled fish. Breakfast was impossible. I eventually went to the supermarket on site and bought oats snd oat milk to add to fruit. There were no alternative yogurts such as sheep or goat as is the case in Greece. This is not the place to stay if you have allergies. The small beach was potentially ok with very clear water, but the beach was not well maintained. Further along and up a lot of steps steps was a bigger better beach. A 30 minute walk. This hotel is a family hotel that works well for families with children. It is not the right place for grownups without children

This review is my honest opinion of our very recent 7day break at this hotel. For context, we’ve had every kind of break you can think of, from a tent in a field to true 5star luxury breaks, so there is absolutely no ‘snobbery’ or bias in this review. The hotel itself if not what i’d class as 4 star. I’d class as 2-3 star at best. The entire resort is in desperate need of refurbishment and repair, the reception area is very dated (which doesn’t really matter to be fair), and the rooms themselves appear to have been refurbed at some point, but poorly. We stayed in E block, up many steep steps (we knew about the hills/steps so no fault of the hotel) which were incredibly slippery after a dip in the pool or the rain we had. The hill/ramp close to the pool was especially slippery when wet. The room we stayed in had old key locks on the door, gaps allowing all manner of bugs (mainly ants) to enter freely. The noise from surrounding rooms due to the aged, gappy timber doors made it sound like people in the rooms around us were actually in our room, making sleep for us and our 4 year old difficult to say the least. Sofa bed was awful, we had to use blankets and pillows to make it even close to comfortable. The bed in the bedroom was ok though. Room was not cleaned in the 7days we were there, floors were filthy (white socks were brown after walking around the room on day one, and everyday after), bed was made and some towels replaced daily, bit nothing else appeared to be cleaned. Pool was ok, but shallow, small, and full most days, sun loungers get ‘reserved’ by other guests (not hotels fault, and not a huge issue to be fair as there was plenty). Artificial grass around the pool was filthy, smelly and incredibly slippery. Water park/slides were good, our son loved them. Like most other areas though, this is also in need of a good clean and refurb. Flies, flies and more flies!, everywhere. Wasps too, with no evidence of any deterrents. Worse still for us was the amount of flies in the restaurant and on/around the food. Our son was as sick one evening (only ate in the hotel restaurant) and my opinion is that it was likely the food which caused it (we pretty much all ate pizza, chips or toast after that night to be safe). Upon visiting reception that evening (as our room phone didn’t work) to ask for cleaning materials and some fresh bedding/pillows after our son had vomited , i was handed just 2 sheets (all they had?), told a message would be given to housekeeping (they arrived 10hours later) and also told ‘don’t worry, these things happen’ when i’d explained our son had been sick, in way which made it feel like we had caused it…no question of how he was or what happened, this was not the service i’d expect from a ‘4star’ resort. Beach was walking distance from the hotel, beautiful clear water, turtles in the other side of the hill/steps well worth a walk to see. Usual charge for loungers/parasol like most beaches these days so felt normal. The saving grace!!, was the entertainment staff and lifeguards around the pool and the waterpark. They all appeared to work around the clock, always happy/smiling and you could see they all took time to speak to all the kids and get them involved with activities and just generally keeping everyone smiling along with them. In summary, if you are visiting, please read all of the reviews, i know many are positive, but the negatives which we ignored based on the better reviews, seem more accurate in my opinion now…our 4 year old son did have a great time (even with being sick for a night) but we will not visit again. Take bug spray/deterrents, pool shoes, and expect hills / steps if you are staying in any room other than those which state are close to the pool.
