We recently stayed here (30th July - 6th Aug) 2 adults and 1 teenager (13yr old) The hotel is great for kids with the splash park, a few slides and a climbing splash feature. The entertainers for kids club and day activities were brilliant - Goofy is great!!! There was aqau aerobics, water basket, a running mat in the pool and other activities. There was also cocktail making and on one of the days the chefs made paella for guests too around the pool which was lovely. On the evening there are mini discos and an act on each night (some were better than others) there is a pool table, toy machines and a big games room for the kids with a mini cinema and plenty of other activities to do in there. We did all inclusive - there is plenty choice each day, it can get repetitive but there are some nice restaurants up the street if you wanted to eat out too. The pool is a good size but is not deep and does get busy, there were no sunbed wars as there are plenty however, there are not enough umbrellas so some people were stealing them when families were in the pool or in the restaurant. The fake grass around the pool isn’t great but ia understandable to prevent kids from slipping but the hotel could do with something else. Our room was great, even had a tv with netflix and disney+ to log into which entertained our teenager at bedtime. The rooms are up a steep hill which was expected but was harder work especially in the heat then we first anticipated. The hotel is right on the beach and has a supermarket and some restaurants around it (you have to walk up a hill to get to these) Overall we had a lovely stay and our teenager thoroughly enjoyed it!

Location was ok. Nothing really major around the hotel/had to get taxi’s. Transfer from the airport was around 35 minutes in a taxi which was great with 2 little kids. On arrival the staff were just rude, couldn’t be bothered with any questions we had, were also arguing with each other behind the desk infront of guests arriving. The rooms were great for space and the layout. Our room wasn’t cleaned often at all (maybe 3 times) in the week we were there. The amount of ants that were coming out of the skirting boards in every room was absolutely diabolical. Hotel did nothing about it. The walls/ceilings are like paper thin. We had a family above us with kids and all we could hear was them running around/dropping things/banging. The food was awful, the same things on repeat for dinner and tea. We went to the supermarket every day to the deli for fresh baguettes for around the pool. The evening entertainment was the most boring thing we have ever been to. The kids entertainment beforehand was awful, we have been to a lot of all inclusive resorts and this was just next level horrendous. The kids were so bored after one night of it. The astroturf around the pool was vile, constantly muddy feet/clothes and not great with an 11 month old crawling around/putting his hands in his mouth. The pool was way overcrowded and no where near big enough for the amount of people they have at the resort. One of the days looking into the pool there was literally no room for kids to be kids swimming around as adults were like sardines in there. Also no pool floats allowed? Strange. The water was very warm, not very refreshing when the weather was 32 degrees + everyday. However the splash park was brilliant. We found it to be a complete waste of money, especially the summer holiday prices. Definitely would not recommend or return.
We have not long returned from this hotel, and were so sceptical/anxious pre holiday with the mix of reviews, and honestly we had the best time! We paid for a premium apartment location on booking and this was 100% worth it. Situated right behind the sports court, a small walk to the pool and restaurant, and slides, it was perfect, with a terrace and lovely sea view! We popped back to the apartment several times a day and the surroundings were lovely 🌺🌸 The apartment was modern and cleaned at around lunchtime each day with fresh bath towels replaced. The beds were super comfy and the air con a lovely break from the heat outside. The food we were really impressed with. Lots of variety and especially for the kids too! We loved the Mexican themed night 🌮🌯 We never queued for the pool bar and the staff were super friendly at the bars, reception and all of the entertainment team. Goofy was brilliant with our little boy! And at making sangria! The hotel had a white party one evening which felt special. But alongside the shows, the days were packed with activities, the beach was on the door step and the resort had a small park outside kids club. There was always something to do! We took a taxi into Fornells. The sea was stunning there, and it is a 10 min ride and costs about €7. Alternatively, go and see the turtles 🐢 a 15 minute walk along the beach from the hotel, find the small lake with the bridge and they’re all there. Take some bread! Don’t listen to the negative reviews, we took our 4 and 12 year old and all thoroughly enjoyed it 🪸🌊🍉 we would happily go again!
Visited with my husband and 12 yo boy and 18 yo girl from 3rd August 2026 for one week. Having stayed in other 4* hotels this isn't more than a 3*+. Therefore - I think very overpriced for what you get. Better suited to families with tiny kids - even 12 yo too old for this hotel. I'll start with the good points: - Staff were amazing. Every single person was helpful, friendly, fun and literally can't fault them. We arrived three hours before check in but AI started immediately so we could grab drinks and lunch which was great. - The hotel is on the beach. From the pool area you can access the sea in minutes which meant we could set up for the day by the pool but nip to the sea in minutes. The beach/sea is fantastic for snorkelling and the cove is beautiful. The sea is shallow so fab for kids and it's calm too so lovely to float around in. There's lots of boats that visit and moor up so you plenty to look at. - The air conditioning in the bedrooms is amazing! We booked a sea view room and the view from the bedroom window and balcony was absolutely stunning! - There's access to soft drinks and water via self service machines all day - fab for the kids. We never queued for a drink at the bar for more than a couple of minutes and the hotel was busy. Plus the bar staff are ace! - The splash park area is fun and there's something for tiny kids up to teenagers - those slides are brutal but my teenagers loved them! Plus it's not too noisy. Sea view rooms overlook the splash park area and we had no problem with noise. - My son loved the football court and made friends through footy here. - Various daytime activities from the animation team seemed ok and team were really friendly and altogether pretty great. Now for the bad points - nothing was 'terrible' - just niggles that didn't suit our kind of holiday: - The pool is tiny and shallow! No good for actually swimming in at all. (Though my 12yo was happy enough). A lot of tiles around the pool are missing making sharp edges. It's surrounded by fake grass that is sodden and smells pretty bad too. The pool area is tiered and the slopes are very steep. The concrete is painted so once wet is lethal. - They opened new pool toilets while we were there. They are finished to a very high standard but not fit for purpose. The tiled floor gets flooded by wet people from the pool and it's dangerous. The men's and ladies are in room one room partitioned off - you can literally see men peeing from the wash basins! The soap dispensers and taps are set too far back for little kids to reach - every time I was in there I was helping random kids reach soap and switching taps on for them. - The pool area is quite clean - but some of the areas further away are dirty - used cigarette butts were in the area we sat in the whole week we were there. - There are plenty of sun-loungers but a severe lack of umbrellas. We were there in 36 degree heat and you had to be at the pool very, very early to bag yourself a brolly. For a 4* hotel I'd expect at least one umbrella per two sun-loungers. There were nowhere near this amount and some families resorted to buying umbrellas from the local supermarket. - The hotel complex is set on a hill and this is mentioned on the Jet2 website so was no surprise. To reiterate though - it's an enormous, steep hill. Lot's of steps and huge slopes - and you have to get your cases up there so if your mobility is poor do not book this hotel. The setting is what made for a good sea view though so we're not complaining. There are 'garden' rooms set in a complex over a small road. This has it's own pool and bar and they have real grass! Seems to be a lot of French there and access is only through a secure gate accessed with a code so not available to Jet2 guests. - The rooms were clean and cleaned every day with fresh towels too. However - there are no tea and coffee making facilities! They provide a bottle of water on arrival then nothing. This was a huge disappointment to us and we ended up using the supermarket to stock our fridge with water for when we retuned to our room each evening. I've never visited a hotel without these basics. - Another huge disappointment to us was the sleeping arrangements. This is probably a Jet2 thing not necessarily the hotels fault. When we do a holiday search we look for three adults + one child. These rooms are two double beds - one in living room and one in bedroom! Obviously my 18 year old daughter didn't want to sleep with her 12 year old brother. I ended up sharing with my daughter and my husband shared with my son. And they had to sleep on the most uncomfortable, rickety bed settee you've ever seen. Some family set ups wouldn't have been able to find a suitable sleeping combo so worth bearing in mind if you are booking. Jet2 shouldn't have even presented this hotel as an option for our set up in my opinion. We're happy to share one room but require three beds not two. (Or in this case one bed and one horrific bed settee where the springs and bars dig into every bone in your body). But as mentioned - great view and air con. - The food was not great. You wouldn't go hungry but it's pretty poor. Low quality cuts of meat (mainly pork every day). Typical all inclusive with pasta, rice, etc. But it wasn't great. There was a salad bar but not much choice. I don't expect much from an all inclusive but this was lower than my expectations. The dining room was clean and staff cleared tables quickly so we didn't struggle to find a table. But overall I was very disappointed. 3* not 4* for food. - Found out on last day that you can book a table at the Italian restaurant over the road but we were never told about this. - All inclusive alcoholic drinks options also very limited and AI finishes at 11pm. - The entertainment wasn't awful. Quite repetitive. It's in an outdoor area so with it still being minimum 28 degrees at 10pm it wasn't comfortable. And there's not enough tables. Being outdoors we also got bitten to hell my mosquitos every night. - The animation team were fab though - can't fault them. - The room where you keep your cases if you arrive early / check out late is not secure either. An open room that anyone can walk in to. No ticket system, just walk in and help yourself to cases. Was quite uncomfortable about this. Playa de Fornells is a purpose built collection of hotels and apartments. Very pretty and well kept. There are two beaches - one small one and another larger one over a cliff side walk way (you can easily swim between the two too). There are two identical supermarkets and a few small restaurants but that's it. Fornells itself is a ten minute taxi ride away and is worth a visit as very pretty - but again, not much there. Plus - getting a taxi back is very difficult - we waited in blazing sun for half an hour and the taxi co weren't answering the phone at all. Overall: - Overpriced - Book a sea view room as it's well worth it - Air con in room amazing - Drinks easy to get and self service great for kids - Staff are amazing (loved the guy on the pool bar especially) - Splash park a lot of fun - Beach on doorstep and fab for swimming - perfect for kids - Food pretty bad - Set on a hillside so wouldn't suit everyone - Entertainment outside in evening - take your mozzy spray - Pool area tired, smelly and tiny, shallow pool means forget actual swimming - Not enough sun umbrellas. Get up early if you want a lounger with a brolly - You can't get a brew in your room in a morning - Consider your sleeping arrangements

The pool is a good size but is not deep and does get busy, there were no sunbed wars as there are plenty however, there are not enough umbrellas so some people were stealing them when families were in the pool or in the restaurant.
