Globales Cala Blanca

Just arrived home after a 4 night break at this hotel, sad to say that I’m glad it was only 4 nights. So good things - double room with sea view was nice, though small, was clean and the bed was comfy. The hotel its self is very clean and the staff work hard and are friendly. Gemma in the bar was lovely as was the TUI Rep, Rafael. The location suited us, quiet and near a lovely little beach cove with a small number of bars and restaurants with stunning sunsets. Not so good things - the food was a let down, not a great variety and very, very much like a canteen vibe. The lunches were better than the evening meal, which I found odd. The food overall lacked variety, I understand that is it a family hotel but let’s be a bit more creative than chips, nuggets, mashed potatoes and some boiled veg, though saying that some of the salads were ok. While we were there, there was a Mexican themed night, which was the best food over our short stay. Water - this was perhaps the biggest issue for me. I totally appreciate that the hotel is working towards reducing single use plastics/green/environmental issues and I have been in plenty of hotels where you are given a couple of bottles of water when you arrive and then you refill them from water stations. However this hotel does not get this right - you are given one small bottle of water each in the room and then told you can refill them - the hotel has only one water refilling station in the whole of the hotel which is in the main bar area, which is only open from 10 am until about 12am. There should be more water stations in a hotel this size, at least one on each floor of the hotel and another in the reception area, and be accessible 24/7. This is very important as the weather was really hot when we were there. Yes, you can get water in the restaurant but it’s says that you shouldn’t use these dispensers to fill bottles. Also had to ask for a couple more as the room cleaner threw away ours from our room - they weren’t in the bin, but just on the side, empty. We were given a couple more but was told, quite sternly not to throw them away again - we didn’t, the cleaner did! The food, the canteen like restaurant and the water issue definitely makes this hotel feel like less than a 4 star and a bit ‘cheap’ to be honest.

Our holiday July 2026 to menorca. Myself and my son 15 ASD. Through tui , travel agent sold us a dream absolutely excited for our holiday as everyone knows its not cheap . On arrival of the hotel first impression was dated not welcoming rushed check in . We head to our room in very small lift very slowly, outside of lift the floor tiles were cracked and broken large light fitting dirty and broken large class panels were dirty hand prints all over. Carpets were not cleaned stains on walls our door paint was chipped. The room was small it was clean missing curtain panels bathroom tiles had black stains bath hooks broken large bits of poly filler where tiles had broken, glass shower panel not safe especially with children. This was sold as a 4 star hotel it definitely wasn't 3 at best . The restaurant was nothing more than a canteen to small flies on food ,cheeses and meats and breads . They serve snacks in the afternoon, but the kitchen staff one day decided to start taking the equipment apart and turned the hot plates off so food cold . We were there for 10 days bedding changed twice and towels maybe 3 times. The pool certainly wasn't big enough sunloungers dated some ripped, sun umbrellas were mix of old and new ones. The stairs were old unsafe. If you wanted pool towels they were 10 euros each deposit and 1 euro each per day for a clean one back which isn't standard for a 4 star hotel. Location was good bus transport was excellent and the taxis were fair prices. Nightly entertainment was good but not one for long there was pool activities but nothing really for teenagers to do. The cocktails listed were very poor bar staff were hit and miss being polite. The entertainment staff excellent especially Mayte 10 stars and the tui rep Rafael 10 stars and he was the only reason for us staying. Forgot to mention the beach was lovely bit more than a short walk had excellent places to eat and drink very friendly. I wouldn't return to the hotel, and it did upset myself and my son as this was supposed to be our dream after a very tough last year.

My husband and granddaughter stayed at the Globales Cala Blanca for a week 18/07/26. Staff were very friendly on arrival and room was available immediately. The room was pool facing and although very small was very clean and the view was beautiful. Long hanging space is very limited with none available in the wardrobes. There were 3 small hooks on the side of the wall that you could hang dresses on but they were very short in length so dresses for myself and granddaughter were squashed together and creases couldn't drop out. There are big 'light' boxes next to the bed which look lovely but don't really serve a purpose. I'd rather have a bedside cabinet with more drawer space and a light on the ceiling. The Aircon didn't feel great on entry but was absolutely fine and much needed as temps reached 31 degrees at 8.30pm. Pool area was spotless with a bigger pool and a baby pool. Plenty of sunbeds with no need to get up at the crack of dawn. Staff are friendly and the food is very good with plenty of choice. They don't have a child section but that didn't affect us as we all eat a healthy, varied diet. Snacks aren't that great, burgers , hot dogs and fries that didn't look appealing to me. I've not used a drinks token system before and found it a brilliant idea to stop waste and mess round the pool. One thing not a good idea was limiting drinks to 2 each bar visit which they were very strict on. We always had to make an extra journey back to the bar for the third drink. Perhaps limit the drinks to the amount of people per paid booking .. especially when the 3rd drink we needed was a soft drink. There was a lady on her own with 2 small girls .. she had to take both children to the bar each time, leaving the table to be taken by someone else whilst she was gone or leave one at the table outside on their own. Not ideal really. The entertainment team were absolutely brilliant and really do deserve a special mention. They were encouraging without being pushy and always had a huge smile and a lovely greeting. They're the jewel in the crown of the hotel. The entertainment in the hotel was very good too with groups and shows which were great fun. The little cove is pretty and nice for a beach day. There isn't too much around the area but you can wander up to the commercial centre where there are a few bars and restaurants. Cituadella is a bus ride away from the bus stop outside the hotel. Lastly I had no idea that the hotel let the general public in for the day if they paid a fee. Another guest advised me to keep a close eye on my granddaughter as there were random people parking their cars outside and coming and going each day using the pool and restaurant without wristbands. This wasn't something I was aware of on the TUI page. We had a lovely holiday and with a couple of tweaks it could be a brilliant place. I think it's more a 3 star than 4 at present but still very enjoyable.

We arrived midday on the Monday and had to wait an hour as our room wasn’t ready. This was quite frustrating as we wanted to freshen up after a long journey. Once we did get the room we were pleased and it was clean throughout the stay. The buffet was a bit disappointing. There were flies over the food and it felt a bit like school dinners. There wasn’t much fresh fruit and the drinks weren’t great either - we mostly stuck to water. The pool area could do either a bit of updating. We also struggled to get a sunbed as other guests would put their towels out early and leave them there all day/night. The only other frustration was the cost of the safe - quite pricy in my opinion. Overall, a bit disappointing and I would rate more a 3* than 4*

We stayed here for a week in July as a family of 4 (3 adults and 1 child), and overall we had a good holiday, but there were definitely a few things that stopped it from being a great one. First, the positives. The staff were genuinely lovely throughout our stay - always polite, friendly and happy to help. The hotel itself was spotless, with the cleaning team doing an excellent job every day. One thing the hotel absolutely got right was the all-inclusive drinks system during the day. Every guest was given a token at check-in, which you exchanged for a reusable glass at the bar. You could only have a maximum of two drinks per person at any one time, and honestly, it worked brilliantly. It meant people were only ordering what they were actually going to drink, rather than holding up the queue by ordering six gin and tonics “for the family” at 11am. The queues moved quickly, there was far less waste, and everyone got served much faster. At the end of the day, you simply handed your glasses back, collected your tokens, and repeated the process the next morning. Interestingly, the token system wasn’t used in the evening, but during the day it was one of the best all-inclusive systems I’ve come across. Now for the bits that had us scratching our heads… The air conditioning deserves its own review. Calling it “air conditioning” feels generous - it seemed to produce more dry air than cold air. Most mornings I woke up feeling like I’d spent the night in the Sahara, complete with a blocked nose and congestion. My sinuses have probably earned loyalty points. If you enjoy an early morning, you’ll love the sunbed situation. If you don’t… you’ll quickly learn that 8am is considered a lie-in. Unless you were out there before breakfast with a towel in hand, your chances of getting a bed were about the same as winning the lottery. A word of warning if, like us, you prefer one of the garden sunbeds rather than being packed in around the pool. The sprinklers seem to finish their morning shift somewhere between 7:30 and 7:45am. We discovered this the hard way on our first morning when they absolutely KO’d my book. Don’t worry, I wasn’t actually planning on reading it. It had been promoted to the very important role of “sunbed reservation device.” Consider this your public service announcement: wait for the sprinklers before deploying your towel… and your sacrificial paperback. The pool is also trying its very best, but it’s simply too small for the number of guests. At busy times it felt less like swimming and more like participating in an organised game of human Tetris. There also weren’t enough tables or bins around the pool. It wasn’t the end of the world, but it did mean you spent half the day balancing empty cups, ice cream wrappers and other bits of rubbish on your sunbed until you either left the pool or made a trip to the toilet where you could finally find a bin. A few more bins dotted around the pool area would make life much easier and save everyone from becoming the designated family rubbish holder! The food was a bit of a tale of two meals. Lunch was consistently the standout, with plenty of choice and some really tasty options. Dinner, however, was a bit more of a lucky dip. I quite enjoy trying different foods, so I usually found something I liked, but not everyone in our group was as adventurous. On a few evenings, the choices felt quite limited for those who prefer more familiar food, and they struggled to find something they really wanted. One important public service announcement for any fellow sangria lovers: don’t make my mistake. For six nights I happily helped myself to red wine, completely unaware that the sangria was hiding on tap… at the opposite end of the restaurant near the bread station. Apparently, one drinks dispenser was Team Red Wine, while the other was secretly Team Sangria. I only discovered this on my final night and, quite frankly, I felt robbed. Hopefully, this review saves someone else from suffering the same tragic fate! One thing that really stood out was the lack of alcohol-free drink options. If you don’t drink alcohol (or you’re a child), the choice was pretty uninspiring. It was mostly the usual fizzy drinks or water, with very few mocktails or more interesting soft drinks available. It would have been nice if non-drinkers could enjoy something that felt a bit more like a holiday treat too, rather than watching everyone else sip colourful cocktails while you’re on your fifth Kas Lemon of the day. The Wi-Fi deserves an honourable mention. I wasn’t expecting fibre broadband, but I did hope I’d be able to load the news before tomorrow’s headlines arrived. It was painfully slow most of the time. The hotel only has one lift serving everyone, so unless you’re training for a stair-climbing competition, expect to spend a fair bit of your holiday waiting for it. The evening entertainment was a bit of a mixed bag. Paying extra to play bingo after already paying for an all-inclusive holiday felt a little cheeky. Not only did you have to buy your bingo tickets, but if you hadn’t packed a pen in your suitcase (because, let’s be honest, who thinks to bring one on holiday?), you also had to pay for a pen! It all started to feel less like holiday entertainment and more like a fundraising event. It would have been nice if more of the evening animation activities were included as part of the all-inclusive experience. As football fans, we were also disappointed that the World Cup final wasn’t shown. We were on holiday in Spain… where Spain were actually playing in the World Cup final… and yet the hotel wasn’t showing it. That seemed absolutely criminal! It felt like opening a cinema on Christmas Day and deciding not to show Home Alone. It was such a missed opportunity to create an incredible atmosphere and bring all the guests together. Finally, a small but memorable point: the toilet paper. Let’s just say it had all the softness of tracing paper and I’ll leave it there. Despite all that, we still enjoyed our holiday thanks to the fantastic staff and the cleanliness of the hotel. With a few improvements, better air conditioning, more sunbeds, a larger pool (or fewer guests!), faster Wi-Fi and perhaps investing in toilet paper that doesn’t feel like sandpaper, this hotel could be a real winner.
