Grupotel Mar de Menorca

Have been looking on TUI site at this hotel,we have stayed at this hotel three times before the last being September 25 some of photos on the TUI site seem to be different from what we experienced in 25 has anyone else noticed this.

The worst All Inclusive I’ve ever been to, the food is basically inedible served in a basement canteen. We are not Fussy and always make the most of our holidays but I wanted to come home after one day here. The room is fine except it is not a door on the toilet but a swinging piece of glass with a gap around the edge which is very uncomfortable when there are six of you sharing a room. My partner was very uncomfortable showering as we have 3 girls as was my 15 year old daughter. We had to all Go sit in the bedroom when the bathroom was used. Again, the food is absolutely disgusting and rarely even cooked. Not hygiene standards adhered to. Fried food piled on top of food that has been sat there for ages. Wasps everywhere so you can have a drink by the pool because you are attacked. Animation team are an absolute joke I’ve never soon anything so poor.music played off of One of their phones so when they get a text it pings and pile fed the music, then comes back on. When they decided they’re done for the night they simply pull the wire out of their phone half way through a song. Outside entertainment was some weird guy with a big quiff singing camp 80s song pretty badly… he was like one of those acts people Laugh at on xfactor.

We have just come back from here after a 2 week holiday. The hotel complex is very nice and clean the room we had was very good . This place is in a lovely quiet location ideal for a relaxing holiday. The only thing for us was the food it wasn't the best it was always luke warm and the choice for you lunch and dinner . When we had our food we would have to put it in the microwave it's a shame really as everything else was good. We would have booked for next year as we really enjoyed this holiday but the food was a real letdown.

Location is brilliant for the transfer as it was 12 mins for the airport. Area was quiet not much around, shops restaurants etc, but we like relaxed. The atmosphere was relaxed it was October so didn’t seem many people in the hotel, and not many kids. The room was excellent we were in 2011 ground floor (which we asked for) over looking the pool. It was cleaned everyday and clean towels everyday. Value was ok but the food wasn’t great it was COLD! You could put it in the microwave, But you shouldn’t have to. I did put soup in. We had a hot dog or beef burger at lunch as not much in the restaurant. The hotel itself was very clean and pool area cleaned everyday morning. It wasn’t very noisy throughout the day, it got louder of an evening. But expected with music on. The staff are very good , bar staff are excellent Vanessa, Christina, Carlos and Chris were very good and are a credit to the hotel. Gentleman on reception was extremely helpful. Amenities were good. Entertainment team were good Greta, Karoline and Fani. I will return next year as it’s an excellent hotel, hopefully the food will improve and get hotter!

Returning guests for the 3rd year and will return. Great hotel, always very clean and relaxing atmosphere. All operational staff can’t do enough for you always attentive, good sense of humour and friendly. Barbara the lifeguard is a sweetheart. The only negative and I feel quite a big one is the entertainment team. All apart from Fani who was incredible are lack lustre, uninterested and have bad attitudes. It seems they are only here for a holiday and care more about each other than the guests. On a few occasions my interaction with them was awkward and rude. If i came with my children i am not sure I would be back based on this. There was a thunderstorm when we stayed and had to stay in nobody wanted to do anything. There is never any real activities or atmosphere. The operational staff and regular guests provide more entertainment then the team that are paid to do it. The exception was Fani she took time with the guests and was really attentive. Hope to see her again next year but the others could do with some public relations training.
