This is a lovely hotel. It is exactly as described, a peaceful haven of tranquility. The rooms are beautiful. We had a 'pool' room. It is small and it doesnt see much sun so it is quite cold, but we enjoyed just occasionally dipping our feet whilst relaxing. The pool area is lovely, drinks service excellent. The breakfast as many people have said is sublime. Its without doubt the best we've ever had. And the staff at breakfast were just as good. What i would say though is if I could give it 4.5 i would of. But twisting my arm between a 4 and a 5 ive gone for 5. The reason being just a few little things that i felt let it down ever so slightly. Air con quite a few times cut out in middle of night for about half an hour. Wifi in room was a bit hit and miss. Yes you dont go on holiday to stare at your phone but I use mine alot for podcasts and music so its a bit annoying having it drop out a few times a day. And the gentleman who checked us in (and out) could learn to smile. It wasnt exactly the warmest of welcomes we ever had. When we checked out didnt even ask how our stay was. But overall I would without doubt happily spend another week here. Plenty of pretty good restaurants in cala n bosch as well.

The personal attention here is just spot on. You really feel looked after, without it ever feeling over the top. And the breakfast… wow! What a way to start the day. I’d genuinely stay longer just for breakfast! The rooms, pool and service were all great, and the location is perfect for getting into Ciutadella, which is definitely worth a visit. We really enjoyed our stay.

Very mixed feelings. On the plus side… lovely area. Perched right on the harbour front with a lovely coastal walk. Small beach within 5 minute walk and a larger one a bit further away but still walkable. Lighthouse within walking distance. Lots of bars and restaurants all around the harbour, suitable for all tastes and budgets. Not loads of shops to be fair but the normal gift, supermarkets, towels, toiletries etc. hotel itself has a fantastic vibe. Laid back, relaxing and very friendly. Staff were amazing. The resort is super clean and the rooms spotless as were the restaurants and bars and toilets within the suites. Pool area is amazing, we had no trouble getting a bed and this was at the end of August. We managed to get a big double comfy sunbed every day. Non of your plastic rubbish ones! They have a no reservation of sunbed rule and will remove towels etc if they think they have been reserved. Pool side service via a buzzer and also a pool bar. Pool is around 5ft deep and a good temperature. It’s sea water too so floating is so easy! On the negative side and these points would actually stop me rebooking…. We paid extra for a junior suite with harbour view. The suite itself was brilliant however we were allocated a ground floor terrace one. Room no43. The terrace did overlook the harbour as stated but was viewed through a small gap in the hedge, or you could stand up to see it. That was not great but ok I guess. The main problem was the market every night from about 5pm to midnight. It set up with the stall literally against the railing to our terrace. So all privacy was lost from 5pm onwards as you had the stall holders and customers right up to the fence if you were sat there. The stalls had floodlights which meant you had to keep the curtains drawn so that you could not be seen from the outside. This closed off any natural light so made the room gloomy. Then when you go to bed if before midnight, you can hear the bustle of the market ( only 8 ish stalls ) about 10ft away from your bed. Then from midnight for 30/45 minutes you get the noise of the stall holders packing away, chatting, laughing and loading their cars up and driving off. Not ideal. If looking for a harbour view definitely request a 1st floor room with balcony, not a ground floor with terrace. Then the the food. Very confusing! We went half-board. Didn’t realise there were 2 levels of half board, I assume we had standard. So restricted on options. We could use 2 restaurants. A Tapas bar and an à la carte restaurant. My husband has a very restricted repertoire so he can be an issue sometimes but I will generally find plenty to enjoy on most menus. We struggled to find 3 tapas items we liked each so rules that option out. The à la carte restaurant, Foc, had a very niche choice. We ate only 3 out of the 7 nights there. There was a small buffet to start which was very pleasant. Breakfast again a small buffet to start which included everything you could ask for for a lovely breakfast and then some odd choices you could select on top of the buffet. We did enjoy breakfast there everyday. We ate out at Picollas a couple of times and a couple of others. Really good choice. No full length hanging for long dresses but plenty of storage otherwise. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap, body lotion and hairdryer all in room. Towels really big. Fridge with water, coke, Fanta and beer included. Fresh water supplied everyday. As were evening treats and poolside sample snacks everyday. Choice of lager on site is limited. Cocktails are lovely. All in all a lovely chilled break but would not return. Investigate the eatery options and room booking before you book.
