Naranjos Resort Menorca

A good budget friendly hotel in a quiet area. Feels very safe and friendly. Apartment is spacious with a good kitchenette and 2 bedrooms. Only criticism would be that the floors could have been cleaner and it would have been nice to be offered a change of towels. The pool area is quiet with lots of loungers. And the restaurant is busy with hotel clients and locals so we will eat there and update our review before we leave. We hired a car from Rent a Car S’Algar and they have been fab.

This lovely, laid back resort is a gem of a place. Only 40 odd apartments spread out around the pool area. We had a 2 bedroom apartment with pool view and terrace. This had 3 sun beds on the terrace and a table and 4 chairs. The pool, shop and bar / restaurant were 10 seconds away. We loved it. Room 3 A. The first floor apartments do not have the sun beds. The apartments are lovely, large bedrooms and lounge area and a small kitchen with fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. Anything slightly wrong and the staff are on it and very customer aware. We served early so our room wasn’t ready, not their fault but they gave us vouchers for cocktails while we waited. The frozen watermelon daiquiri was beautiful. We had an issue with hot water and were given free breakfasts. I can’t recommend Naranjos enough. The village of S’Algar has a total of 3 restaurants. One is in the Naranjos and it’s good. The cod in garlic was gorgeous. The one in the village about 6 minutes away is Reina’s and their menu is bigger and has a lovely Spanish feel in a small square. The last one is called La Trattoria and is about a 12 minute walk away to the Alua sun Mediterranea. Just walk in and ask for a table. Cracking Italian / Spanish menu. This area is very quiet and peaceful so is perfect if that is what you want.

Just back after 2 weeks.apt was ok in 13a.right by the gate you can enter and leave and there should be a sign please close gate quitley .because all you here is bang bang all the time as people are coming and going .towels changed every 3 days and clean sheets once a week.pool area was very nice .we ate in restarant once and we both did not enjoy i had pasta dish was awful .so thick the sauce horrible and burger not great.reception ok i asked for key for safe .and the one they gave was no good .we asked for another one and still waiting ! Balcony was nice sunbeds and table but right where cars park so you hear banging of the doors.and you can just see the sea. The apt was good plenty of room 2 good size bedrooms and shower was powerful.9pm restarant closed so couldnt get a drink after that time.spose in summer opens later.it was ok but wouldnt come back.we booked with tui and not one person visited while we was there.

A very good value for money option. Superb modern rooms obviously recently refurbished. Our room was all new furniture with super modern bathroom. Lovely patio area with sunbeds and chairs. Breakfast fairly basic but ok. Not a luxury hotel but if you’re on a budget I doubt that you would get better for the cost.

We stayed in a villa that the resort backed onto, and the apartments from the outside looked nice. We decided to give the restaurant a try one night and we were not disappointed - it ended up being one of our two favourite restaurants in S’Algar! (Most favourite though being La Trattoria). The waiter (unfortunately did not catch his name, but he was young and had a good sense of humour, and was very chilled) was fab. He was on every night we visited. We tried a few different dishes but the favourites were the Yankee burger, the bolognese, the salmon, the seafood spaghetti and the salad with goats cheese. There was a singer one of the nights we were in and she was super, we could have sat all night listening to her if we didn’t have children with us who needed their nightly swim!! Overall, a very chilled place to be, good food and very reasonably priced. We would highly recommend!
