Avenida Gran Vía

I couldn't speak more highly of this hotel. I had a very warm welcome from the staff at the front desk, and I was almost always treated warmly entering and leaving the hotel during my few days stay. The room was very clean and light and bright and had windows that opened out onto the street below. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was presented extremely well. The hotel is located off one of the main streets in the city centre and close to all amenities and tourist attractions.

I had a reservation for five nights starting today. Less than 24 hours before arrival, my father was suddenly hospitalized in critical condition and is dying. I contacted the hotel immediately and requested either a cancellation with a fee or to postpone the stay to a later date, including paying any price difference. The hotel refused all options. I then sent additional messages asking the hotel to reconsider and gave them a final opportunity to respond before posting a public review. They did not respond at all. Beyond the rigid policy, the complete lack of communication and basic human compassion is extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting understanding in a medical emergency.

Room was decent size but there was a lot of noise from the street, almost all night long. Breakfast in nextdoor café with limited menu options for hotel guests.

I’m writing this review currently in the hotel lobby because our room hasn’t gotten WiFi since we’ve been here! I’m from the states so I can’t use my phone without WiFi. The receptionist said “sorry the 3rd floor doesn’t reach” and didn’t offer any other help or had no concern. So if you’re coming from anywhere and need wifi- don’t stay here.

It has a great location, must places are walkable. Rooms are extremely small, no refrigerator and they don't have air conditioning, it's very noisy outside, almost impossible to sleep a few hours. The place has a weird smell. It's not worth the price.
