Staff were wonderful, welcoming and helpful. We were able to have them hold luggage on day of arrival and departure. Rooms very nice, up to date, lovely shower and comfy beds. Great location for walking to museums, El Retiro, and other parts of the city for dinner. About 20 min walk to most things. Close to Atocha train station (regionally serves the south, but can also take local train to/from airport) but we were coming from airport and going to the other train station (Chamartin) to head north to Leon so took taxis (they are flat rate to airport of 33 Euro, I think was less to Charmartin). There is a nightclub next door and could only faintly hear it from 1st floor. Would definitely stay here again.

We picked the hotel based on the Hilton affiliation and location for our final night in Spain. The hotel employee would not permit me to check-in with a photo from my phone despite the fact I told him I had a meeting at the U.S. Embassy that day for a replacement passport. Using my husband’s passport, we were able to check-in. We were upgraded to a suite since I was celebrating my birthday. It was a lovely gesture, but the suite was bizarre. There was a big screened tv on a stand at the foot of the bed and a large bathtub in the suite not in a separate bathroom. . Both needed to be negotiated to get to the toilet or sink or shower . When we tried to adjust the AC it turned the entire air off and we were forced to go downstairs to seek assistance. There was an amplifier in the corner which was there for some kind of entertainment I was told by the staff. When we came downstairs to the lobby a group of travelers had taken over the area to repack their suitcases . The highlight of the entire experience was the extensive and delicious breakfast buffet the morning of our departure.

My stay at Atocha Hotel Madrid was FANTASTIC. The location was great for Prado, Retiro, and lots of food/drink options. The room was terrific - very comfortable bed, great amenities, clean, modern. Every single employee I worked with were top notch - kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. The front desk and bell staff were THE BEST! Some of the best service I have ever received. Quiet area but close to lots of food/drink options. Grocery and pharmacy right outside of the hotel. Close to Metro stations and bus stops. I’d absolutely come back to Atocha on my next trip to Madrid!! Gracias!

We had an excellent stay at Atocha Hotel! Very quiet, serene, and beautiful hotel. The rooms were perfect. Perfectly located in a beautiful area of Madrid. The staff was wonderful, extremely helpful, and very kind! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone!

We stayed for 3 nights in September. The welcome we received from all the staff was wonderful. Our cases were out of the taxi and in reception before I was !! Our room was a good size, very quiet and immaculate. Breakfast was extensive and set in a large pleasant dining room. Very convenient position and walking distance from the train station.
