We had an excellent stay at Atocha Hotel! Very quiet, serene, and beautiful hotel. The rooms were perfect. Perfectly located in a beautiful area of Madrid. The staff was wonderful, extremely helpful, and very kind! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone!

We stayed for 3 nights in September. The welcome we received from all the staff was wonderful. Our cases were out of the taxi and in reception before I was !! Our room was a good size, very quiet and immaculate. Breakfast was extensive and set in a large pleasant dining room. Very convenient position and walking distance from the train station.

We stayed for six days at this centrally located boutique Tapestry by Hilton. Initially our chosen room via the hilton honors app was changed to a larger room that faced the interior courtyard. We weren’t at all pleased for the change without prior notification after a very long international flight. The hotel is very close to the Atocha train station, a transfer point to Barajas airport. However, Atocha is a chaotic hub and is not user friendly, even to a spanish speaker. The hotel is right next to the Paseo del Prado, within walking distance of Thyssen, Prado Museum, Reina Sofia and also by the Anton Marti metro station. Our room was very clean and spacious. We selected the King superior room which had a small table with two chairs, fridge, espresso machine. The bathroom was very spacious as well but only had the shower and toilette. The sink, towels were not in the bathroom but oddly placed within the room. Also, there was very little storage space for your clothes, etc, so your belongings were always on display. There weren’t many channel options on the TV unless you wanted to watch the news in every language. The room was perfectly maintained daily by the staff. Complimentary breakfast was fine at first but eventually it became obvious that the selection was extremely limited: no drip coffee, limited breads and warm cereals. We tired of the same selections every single day with an emphasis on desserts and pastries which for breakfast aren’t the healthiest. This is the main reason for four and not five stars with the Tapestry Atocha. The front desk staff was very kind and helpful with any issues we had. Huge thank you to Ismael who always had a smile and made us feel at home. We will certainly return here when we revisit Madrid.

I’ve stayed at Tapestry hotels many times and I normally like the service that a smaller hotel delivers. The one in Madrid did not meet the standards I am used to. I had an early flight and arrived at the hotel at 9am. The staff made zero effort to check me in before the standard 3pm check-in time. Although I understand 3pm is 3pm, nobody is going to convince me that not a single room was cleaned between 9am and 3pm. I couldn’t even go to the gym because there is none, even though it says there is one. If you want to use the gym, you have to walk 10 minutes both ways to another Hilton hotel several blocks away. I wish this had been specified. I don’t want to have to read all the small print to know what it is that I’m buying. Same thing with the minibar where none of the prices were prominently displayed. You, as the customer, have to make all the effort to make sure you won’t get gouged. I was charged 15€ for a half hottie of wine. In a country where a glass of wine costs 3€ or 4€ at a restaurant, 15€ for a half bottle of (mediocre) wine is highway robbery. I will not stay at this hotel again and do not recommend it to others.

The location was excellent and near nic parks, shopping, and great restaurants. We would definitely stay here again. The employees were remarkable and professional. We did not try the dining other than a quick drink at the bar, but the food did look good. The rooms were very spacious and the AC worked!
