Absolutely fantastic hotel, brilliant location with friendly and helpful staff. We stayed for 2 nights. Our room was so comfortable, twin beds as requested, very clean, with brilliant waterfall shower and looked out onto Gran Via- what an amazing view watching the city! Breakfast was fantastic- amazing choice and lovely fruit juices and coffee. Stunning roof top bar with amazing cocktails and very well priced. I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Madrid!

Unfortunately, this particular Meliá property was a disappointing experience for us. Although the location was good and convenient, the overall experience did not meet our expectations. We have stayed at several Meliá hotels before and have generally enjoyed our stays, so we were particularly surprised by this one. The suite was not spacious, and the bathroom layout was very impractical and unusual. To get to the bedroom, you have to pass through the living room and directly by the bathroom area. This is especially inconvenient when three people are staying in the suite, as the person sleeping in the living room has to pass through this area to get to the bedroom. The toilet itself has a lock, but the overall bathroom/shower area does not have a door or lock, meaning that someone walking from the living room to the bedroom can potentially see the person showering. This is a major privacy issue and, in my opinion, a very strange design choice for a suite accommodating multiple guests. The location itself is good, but one thing to keep in mind is that if you are arriving or being dropped off in a large van, there may not be enough space for the vehicle to stop directly in front of the hotel, so you may have to park or get dropped off on the street. We were also charged €5 for a pair of disposable slippers. This was not clearly communicated to us at check-in, yet we were still charged for them. I find it quite unusual for a hotel to charge separately for basic disposable slippers, especially when this was not made clear beforehand. Overall, while the location was good, the room layout was not practical for three guests, particularly due to the lack of privacy around the shower. The unexpected additional charge was another disappointment. We have stayed at many Meliá properties and have generally had very good experiences, but unfortunately, this particular hotel did not meet the standard we have come to expect from the brand. We will definitely not be staying at this particular Meliá hotel again.

Last year we ended up at the Madrid airport INNSiDE due to airline snafus. We liked it, so when we planned a return trip to Madrid for the total eclipse, we chose this sister location thinking it'd be similar. Not so much. First, the good: the room on the 6th floor was clean and quiet. There were charging outlets in the room. I asked for more towels and they came within 15 minutes. A couple of restaurants were within short walking distance, important after a long day of walking around. Now, the bad: I had presumed the room layout was standard, not picturing a shower right in the middle! The problem is that the light from the shower spills into the bed area (not to mention the noise of it). Because the shower stall lets light through, you'd think the bathroom window would also have blackout curtains, not just the main window. It kinda defeats the purpose to have one window blocked but not the other! The shower itself was slippery, and the drain cover loose, making it a hazard. There's a teeny tiny trash can in the bathroom. Seriously? They've never heard of feminine hygiene products? The room did have its own small trash can, and that filled up quickly with Kleenex as my nose was unhappy with the air conditioning in the dry heat (opening up the window helped a little bit). The breakfast buffet was large but lackluster in taste, especially compared with the buffet at the airport location. Heating lamps did nothing to keep the food warm. Day two we bailed to Panera Rosa next door, and tried again Day three (they were closed).

We’ve been to other INNSiDE hotels before so chose this one due to reputation, price and location. Within walking distance to lots of tourist attractions, and bus stops for each direction within three minutes walk. Also a couple of metro stations within five minutes walk. Room was modern, clean and with fantastic air conditioning which was needed this week (we checked in on the 26th). Housekeeping excellent, towels and bed linen changed every day. Reception staff couldn’t do enough for you. Complementary water and soft drinks in the fridge every day. Always a chap on the desk downstairs and someone on reception 24/7. Great rooftop bar as well. Didn’t have breakfast or other meals there as we like to try different places each day. Excellent stay thank you.
