Grand Mercure Dubai City

We were very disappointed with the hotel. There was no airport shuttle running and no porters to meet our taxi at the door to help with luggage. Our room was neat and clean and the breakfast was adequate but nothing special. The rooftop pool snd restaurant were closed we were later told that it was for maintenance) leaving only one restaurant for dinner.

Extremely disappointed with the customer service at Grand Mercure Hotel. The staff were rude, unprofessional, and showed zero respect for guests. I had to wait more than 20 minutes at reception just to be acknowledged, only to be told “give me a minute” with no proper assistance. I booked a 24-hour room starting at 6 PM, but later received a call telling me to check out at 2 PM or pay extra — clearly without even checking the booking details properly. This is completely unacceptable. To make things worse, all the reception staff came across as arrogant and unhelpful. The situation became even more uncomfortable when a housekeeper entered the room and asked to use my mobile phone to write a review himself. Even after I refused, he was reluctant to leave. This was a very unpleasant experience overall. Definitely not the level of service expected from a hotel like this.

Great service and very clean rooms , delicious buffet breakfast. Everyone were very kind jncluding the recpetonist. The housekeeper Olawole was very kind and good to us and we promised him that we will be back soon with the family. Highly recommended
