
I am writing to formally file a serious complaint regarding my stay at Hyde Hotel Dubai on February 23rd. My experience was deeply disappointing and unacceptable for a property that presents itself as a five-star hotel. From the beginning, it was clear that the management and overall service standards were far below expectations compared to other luxury hotels in Dubai. At 7:40 AM, guests were abruptly awakened by a fire alarm. My room was located on the 11th floor, and we were forced to evacuate immediately and rush down to the lobby in a state of panic. I was fasting at the time, and due to the fear and chaos of the situation, I was compelled to break my fast. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of proper communication, reassurance, or apology from hotel management. A sincere apology and even a simple gesture, such as offering breakfast or refreshments, would have demonstrated basic respect for your guests. Instead, after requesting water three separate times, it was finally provided with no acknowledgment of the distress caused. The situation deteriorated further later that day. After arranging a 3 PM checkout with reception, I went to the pool. Upon returning, my key card had been deactivated without explanation, preventing me from accessing my own room. I had to return to reception to have it reactivated. Upon re-entering my room, I was shocked to discover that my personal belongings were missing. I immediately reported this to reception. I was told that nothing had been removed and that staff would accompany me upstairs to confirm. However, as we approached the room, a staff member ran ahead and entered before us, seemingly to replace items that had been taken without my knowledge or consent. This incident is extremely serious. Entering a guest’s room and removing personal belongings without authorization is a severe breach of trust, privacy, and professional conduct. It raises significant concerns about guest security and hotel management practices. This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had in Dubai. I expect a formal explanation and an appropriate response regarding these incidents. I hope the management takes this complaint seriously and conducts a proper internal investigation.
