The First Collection Dubai Business Bay

I originally booked the Waterfront Hotel, only to be informed on the day of check-in that the property was closed for renovations and that I had been moved to another hotel. While the relocation was disappointing given the late notice, the hotel did offer a 36% discount across the property, which was appreciated. There were a few positives. The hotel accommodated an early check-in and a very generous 6pm late check-out, which made our short two-night stay much more convenient. Unfortunately, several aspects of the stay fell below expectations. One of the restaurants was closed throughout our visit, and a number of food and beverage items were unavailable both at the pool bar and the café. Staff also seemed unclear about how the hotel-wide discount was meant to be applied, leading to some confusion. Despite the hotel being very quiet and seemingly far from full occupancy, service was surprisingly slow. Requests for basic items such as towels and bottled water took a long time to arrive, and an additional pillow that was requested never arrived at all. Overall, while the discount and flexible check-in/check-out arrangements were welcome, the lack of available facilities, inconsistent service, and communication issues meant the experience did not meet expectations

This review is long overdue, but I wanted to take the opportunity to thank the wonderful team at First Collection Business Bay. I stayed at the hotel from August 2025 to October 2025, and my experience was memorable for all the right reasons. I have chosen not to mention individual names, as it would be impossible to recognise everyone who contributed to making my stay so enjoyable, and I would hate to overlook anyone. From the moment I arrived, I was met with genuine warmth, professionalism, and hospitality. A heartfelt thank you to the reception team, housekeeping, restaurant staff, concierge, security, and the many people working behind the scenes whose efforts often go unseen but are deeply appreciated. What impressed me most was the consistency of the service. No matter how busy the hotel was, the team always made time to greet guests with a smile, offer assistance, and ensure that everyone felt welcomed and cared for. It is these small touches that transform a hotel stay into a truly memorable experience. The First Collection Business Bay became much more than just a place to stay; it became a place where I felt comfortable, valued, and at home. Looking back, I have many fond memories of my time there and remain grateful to everyone who helped make my stay such a positive one. Thank you all for your hard work, kindness, and dedication. I am currently staying at this hotel and my experience has been wonderful so far. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and professional. The atmosphere is relaxing and everything has been well organized. Location of the hotel was great and easily accessible. I would especially like to thank our room cleaner, Habib, for his excellent service. He is extremely kind, respectful, and hardworking. Our room has been cleaned perfectly every day, and his attention to detail really made our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you to Habib and the entire hotel team for the great hospitality. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would happily stay here again.
