Astor Court Hotel

This hotel is in a very good location in quiet street. It's is clean. Thats the good points. The staff do not appear connected to what your saying. The breakfast is not great but adequate (we.didnt pay due to being offered it to apologise for errors made) its downstairs in small room but has small patio space to go outside. The heat in room 54 was unbearable over two nights I had to cool down using wet towels. Ridiculous in this day when reception have a big air con unit. It needs to be on the landings at least. I wouldn't recommend staying here. Ps breakfast is better just round the corner at Nanis. First class

We booked here to revisit London for the first time in many years and to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I always study areas and reviews before booking and felt Astor Court was well placed for us and having spent last years birthday in Maisin Astor in Paris and our silver wedding at the Waldorf Astoria in New York it felt just right. We booked a standard double room but were very kindly upgraded to a superior room on arrival and were also allowed to book in slightly earlier as we had wanted to drop our bags but the room was ready. We were greeted with a lovely card and some chocolates from the hotel. The room and en-suite were lovely and the toiletries first class. There had been some comments online about the breakfasts but we found them to be very good, well stocked, replenished when needed and a great coffee machine. The staff were top class and friendly throughout our stay and we were able to leave our bags on check out from 10 in the morning until 7 at night when we collected them and got a cab (called from reception) to our train. If you care about service and quality do not hesitate to book here

Great location, clean room and breakfast was fine. Unexpected bonus of a lovely little outside courtyard to eat. I requested a top floor room which the attentive staff managed to allocate. The temperature in the room was off the scale, I understand the building may be very old or maybe even listed. It's not acceptable though in the changing climate to expect people to sleep comfortably with how unbelievably hot the rooms are, portable air con needs to be added. I literally had 4 hours sleep over 2 nights. At £200 a night it wasn't affordable to book accommodation in another location. The reason I put 4 stars is the wonderful staff.

A very nice hotel in a quiet location very close to the centre. The room was clean and tidy and the service at the reception was very careful. Nothing to complain with the breafast. Next time we go to London, we will definetely go there again

Location for this tucked away hotel could not be better. Ideal for nearby hospitals, doctors etc, shopping, restaurants and The Palladium theatre. Staff very friendly abd helpful.
