The hotel is falling apart, the cottages are collapsing, there is no renovation, very poor quality, no poolbar, a pool with cloudy water without filters. Terrible food (rice with chicken curry and pancakes, sometimes someone fries fish in oil or makes omelets), For dinner, I got tap water! In bar very expensive drinks. There is a lot of trash on the riverbank. There is no manager or funds.

I have been to Ranweli a couple of times in its prime days around 2013! Coming back now was sad. The property is just so fantastic, but it seems no one has cared for this place for a long time! Many of the staff are just not present. There are some very good exception - in the office area and in the bar - and some room staff. The rooms are also mostly good, just a little tired. But the roofs are a sad sight - and actually dangerous as tiles are falling down. So sad to see such a pearl being so neglected! Do the owners not care at all?? The youngest staff in the restaurant do not seem to care or even know too much. One hinted several times about being too tired - very unprofetional. And if you come late tables are not cleaned. It seems you are expected to sit down at a table with food leftovers on... It is like we are a cattle herd that is about to be fed. But the very very worst, are all the cats and dogs that sit under your table begging for food. It is just so off-putting. The food was often cold, combined with the cats a d dogs, I ate minimal. One of the staff said that the tourists liked having the skinny cats and barking dogs there. I do not know what kind of people you want to visit, but I will from now on not suggest Ranweli the way I have been doing. And as a last point - your website looks as if it is stuck in your golden age of 2013 or before.... All this is sad for such a beautiful location, practically placed close to the airport and with a fantastic arkitecture that has the potential to give a wonderful vib. Please do something about this pearl!

During my stay at the Ranweli Holiday Village Hotel, I used a massage service once. I paid for it with my card at the reception desk. After swiping my card, the receptionist said the transaction (allegedly) didn't go through and asked me to pay again. Now I'm checking my account balance, and the payment has been charged twice. I've already written to the hotel (but I'm not holding out much hope, as they were already on the spot, just trying to cheat at every turn). Beware of this place! Not only was there nothing to eat, but it now turns out they're stealing. Once, my friend and I arrived 30 minutes after dinner started, and there was NOTHING!! NOTHING! A little rice and pasta with tomato puree. When the manager was summoned, he pretended he didn't speak English (but he did, as he was accosting us and hitting on us in the corners). They didn't report NOTHING! The manager sat down at the table with his friend and started eating the leftovers.
