Riu Sri Lanka

Great hotel where the staff cannot do enough for you. The rooms were spacious and the buffet and restaurants were fabulous, so many choices and good for all the family. We had Kuma as a guide (at the front of the hotel) and he organised everything from whale watching, to feeding wild turtles, a boat trip on the Bentota river through to a temple visit and a massage at the House of Harmony which was out of this world. Our first visit to Sri Lanka and we definitely will return. Thanks to everyone who made it so memorable for us.

This hotel is truly a hidden treasure of Sri Lanka. Our expectations were surpassed each and every day. The location is perfect for touring and very safe From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. The lobby and lounge areas are spacious and beautifully decorated. We were treated to a performance by the employees on our first night as they were celebrating a Buddhist holiday. Our rooms were spotless and the daily towel art was amazing. Very comfortable beds. We ate in every restaurant that was open, our favourite being the Asian which was second to none. Breakfast was one of the best I have experienced, a huge variety of both hot and cold dishes. The spa was an experience in itself really excellent The pool areas are very well maintained and constantly being cleaned. Above all the staff in this hotel really go above and beyond, nothing was too mich trouble, everyone we came across was smiling and genuinely welcoming. Could not fault this hotel

Recently returned from this amazing hotel to celebrate my birthday and from arrival to departure, everything was PERFECT! The hotel is lovely, the team and staff are brilliant, friendly and always happy. Food is amazing at the buffet and at the Asian & Italian restaurants was really, really good! To emphasis, the staff truly are so nice - thank you to everyone for making this a wonderful holiday. Yes, it is about a 2 hour drive from Airport but totally worth it. There is also a nightclub on the resort, open Thursday to Saturday and was so much fun! We had a lovely room with sea views and the room was always maintained perfectly, massive thanks to Chaminda and Dinesh for taking care of us and the room service - cheers guys!! Would I come back to this hotel..? Definitely YESSSSS!!! Thanks Riu Sri Lanka

RIU is a very nice and beautiful hotel. The staff there are very good and work very fast. Saturday and Sunday are very busy days.

The best Riu experience yet! And this is our 5th different Riu hotel stay. Special mention to bar manager Rohitha, whose smile was infectious! & the team that serviced our suite, Sadeepa & Gamage, your towelography was outstanding!
