This hotel has excellent customer service, great views, demonstrated commitment to environment, and comfortable (although small) rooms. First, the pictures in their website do not do justice to the rooms (the view is better than shown). We stayed in a room facing the street. The front desk personnel is welcoming and professional (we interacted with 3 different people). The facilities are clean, the room is upgraded and had quality bedding, towels, and dishes (2 small TVs). We also had extra pillows, bathrobe and slippers (greatly appreciated). They offer a water fountain and coffee at the lobby. We arrived early and they stored our luggage while we went to explore. They have a restaurant and bar on the premises, although I do not recomend eating there, unless it is rainning or you are very tired. There are multiple high quality choices very close. On a clear day, do not miss "The Deck" restaurant, which offers amazing outdoor sitting and views. For dinner, our favorite was 1903 restaurant. The hiking is amazing and if you are tired, just a walk around town can be highly enjoyable. The hotel is centrally located with good and bad consequences. Good: very close to train station, grocery store (with lots of fresh fruit choices), gondola, laundromat, restaurants, bakery, etc. Bad: there is laud noise at night from one, sometimes two bars that are open late. Unfortunately, the sound travels a lot (probably due to geography/architecture). We could hear very clearly some of the conversations from people sitting or standing outside and we were staying on the 3rd floor. Closing windows in the Summer is not an option because of the heat. There is no AC (typical of most of Europe), but the hotel offers a very good fan. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. If you like to stay out or up late at night, the noise is manageable and the hotel is a good choice. We extended our stay one night because we loved waking up to the views that you see in the pictures attached and because we were treated well by everyone. The hotel is in the perfect central location; across from the mannlichen cablecar and a couple of minute walk from the train station. The restaurant and bar served excellent food and drinks. Loved that the bar had a kids playroom (my kids loved it). The rooms were modern and clean and had the perfect balcony with views.

The location is great- Quick easy walk from the train station. Check in was simple enough and we had a room on the 4th floor. Tiny elevators. The room had no AC so it was stuffy. They did provide a fan, but since we had 3 people in the room, my son had a bunk-bed with no window or air circulation. After the second night, he had to sleep in our bed, which was just (2) full beds pushed together, so I ended up in the bunk and realized fast why he woke up each night begging me for water. The beds were very uncomfortable and the pillows were terrible. They told us we could open the window, however the curtain was so bulky, it wouldn't stay open and the sun rose early so we basically suffered. The room was very tight. My son and I ate at the breakfast buffet in the AM, which was actually pretty decent. We did eat dinner in the restaurant one night and it was pretty decent as well. If I were to return to Wengen, I would look elsewhere to stay honestly, especially for the money I paid for our stay.
