Lenkerhof gourmet spa resort

We stayed at this hotel and overall the property itself is nice. The hotel and restaurant are pleasant, well maintained, and the atmosphere is enjoyable. Unfortunately the service was significantly below what one would expect for a 5 star hotel. During our stay the valet misplaced our car key. After some time the hotel eventually found the key they had misplaced. However, instead of simply returning it, we were asked to pay CHF 36 to have it mailed back to us. Considering that our stay cost around CHF 14’000 and that they were the ones who misplaced the key in the first place, this response felt quite inappropriate and disappointing. Another aspect that felt out of place for a hotel in this price category is their upgrade bidding system. It gives the impression that the hotel is trying to extract every last cent from guests rather than focusing on service and hospitality. The property itself is nice, but the service and overall guest experience do not match the level one would expect at this price point.

Let's get this out of the way: the Lenkerhof is expensive. That having been said, it was worth every franc. This is a full service gourmet hotel and spa. That means that the room was elegant (we had a suite), the bed was very comfortable, and the staff was accommodating at every turn. This began BEFORE check-in, where the bellman whisked our luggage to our room, and was waiting for us after we checked in. With one exception, everyone we dealt with spoke at least three languages- French, German, and English, and most spoke other languages as well. With the exception of one sauna area, the entire facility is kid friendly, and there were quite a few present. The highest praise I can give a restaurant is, “I wish I could cook that”, and this was true of both in the hotel. Both do tasting menus with a variety of choices that change rapidly. The chefs are ambitious and imaginative with their use of ingredients (many local) and flavors. There is a half-pension deal on the tasting menus that is well worth it. The wine menu consisted of somewhere in the neighborhood of 600 selections, of which we tried four. Restaurant Spectacula and the bar offer a VAST array of cheeses for desserts in the evening. Apart from the cheeses, which you help yourself to, the portions were right-sized. The spa is delightful, and it features an outdoor pool that is meticulously maintained, with water temperature of around 35°C. There is also a cooler lap pool. We did take advantage of full massages, which were quite professionally performed. There are also dry and steam saunas and a full gym. While we didn't ski on this trip, the Lenkerhof is conveniently located next to a gondola, for those who do, and it has a ski room for storage. It also has a garage with two charging stations for EVs. Two comments about its location: the paths and roads to the hotel can get icy, and one must take care. Second, Google Maps may get the last turns wrong: it is best to consult a map before you approach the hotel.

Hotel Lenkerhof is truly gorgeous, with a refined old-world charm that is beautifully reflected in its design and the overall atmosphere. From the moment you arrive, you feel a sense of elegance and comfort that makes the stay special. The restaurant Spettacolo truly lives up to its name. Each dish is wonderfully presented, and the flavors are simply delicious, refined and deeply satisfying. Huge kudos to the Chef and the entire kitchen team for doing an absolutely outstanding job. Combined with the exceptional service, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. We had the pleasure of being looked after by Erik and Josip, two young gentlemen who were incredibly knowledgeable, genuine and attentive. They made us feel truly special throughout the experience. We would definitely come back for more of this fantastic food, wonderful service and excellent atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely resort to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel staff and service were excellent and they made us feel and our time there so special. The spa is really lovely and has many different options. Both the restaurants were very good and we enjoyed our dinners and the sumptuous breakfast. Thank you to all the staff for making our celebration so memorable!

I stayed at a wonderful hotel in Lenk, Switzerland, which provided captivating scenic views, enhancing the experience significantly. I appreciated the customer service in the Reception, Housekeeping, and Restaurant divisions. The warm hospitality and diligent attention to detail provided by the staff across the board improved the quality of my stay. While the breakfast spread was enjoyable, I would recommend diversifying the offer to improved the experience. I would also recommend adding one or two Asian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes to the room service and restaurant menus.
