Golfhotel Les Hauts de Gstaad

We stayed one night here on our holiday playing Swiss golf courses. This is a convenient hotel for Gstaad Saanenland Golf Course. It’s obviously mostly set up for the ski season, it’s big, cosy and comfortable with lots of leisure amenities. The welcome was excellent with a welcome drink, and we were shown to our room. We had been upgraded (hurray!) and our room was brilliant. Big, lovely balcony facing the stunning mountains, huge comfy bed and wonderful bath and shower room. Parking was easy with a secure car park under the hotel. We ate in the restaurant and that was great, too. It’s a drive away from the main town with alternative restaurants. Best part: they have a free cake buffet in the afternoon. In common with the other Swiss hotels, they don’t do decaff tea or coffee. One tip for British travellers- there are only Swiss plug sockets. The others we stayed in also had at least one Euro socket.

Staff - Polite, welcoming, freindly, helpful - Jean-Luc / Lucia especially. Room - Spacious, clean, traditional decor yet modern, beautiful bathroom. Resturant - quality food, service and price. Wellness - One of best spa, sauna, relax areas that I've visited Top top hotel, very enjoybale stay. Relaxing and definitely be back again.

This is a serene part of the world and the hotel is really a large boutique hotel. Beautifully designed with a nice outside area and in the middle of shorter or longer hikes. We had a large balcony and the room was large, tastefully decorated and above all looked kind of unique. We had an excellent dinner at the hotel, but the breakfast was ok ish. Not to forget that the service was friendly and professional everywhere. Needs to be noted the the pool is indoor only. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a romantic or sporty weekend.

We had a wonderful stay over Easter…The hotel has so much to offer. We really enjoyed our couples spa treatment and the sauna. The gym has so much high spec equipment that would put most physio centres to shame. Then there are the games rooms for the kids and the bar with a great selection of cocktails for us;) There is a garage with free parking and free charging for EVs….such a generous gesture! At breakfast there was a very nice selection of cold and hot food. Dinner was also delicious and in addition to the general menu they have a daily changing menu so going halfboard doesn’t mean running out of tasty choices. The staff were all very friendly, especially the Italian waitress who was always smiling and ready for a joke and the Belgian bartender who was very happy to make cocktails that weren’t on the menu and his suggestions on the different rums were spot-on! Our room was spacious and we enjoyed sitting on the garden furniture soaking up the sun on our terrace. Because of the snow, we could not do much walking so we’ll definitely make plans to come back again!

We have been many times to this great hotel. Lovely staff, amazing food, great location. The only criticism I have is that the pool is cold and does not allow for a nice relaxation after a hike or day of skiing. That is unfortunate because the hotel is otherwise wonderful.
