Very nice, older hotel. Extremely clean place, helpful staff, that was very well versed in English. Close to everything in this tiny, beautiful town. A few things that weren't the best was, no air conditioner, no mini fridge, the shower was like a phone booth (although the temperature and spray were excellent), also the hours at the Fitness center didn't start till 7, which sucks for an early riser like me. The restaurant served excellent food, and had many beer and cocktail options, also indoor, or outdoor dining. Would definitely recommend staying here for a visit.

Booked two rooms for 4 adults and 2 children for two nights. We specifically chose this hotel because it had an indoor swimming pool for the kids. Checked online on hotel website prior to booking that the pool is indeed open. But at check-in we were told pool isn’t open yet and instead told to use the jacuzzi. Clearly this is not an acceptable alternative especially when travelling with young kids. When checking into the rooms, we found cramped and fairly old facilities with one room lacking a balcony altogether. The room without balcony was charged at the same rate though clearly a lower standard given people come to this region specifically for the mountain views. We felt cheated and frankly ripped off at this poor service. Reception staff were unhelpful and apathetic, deferring to the hotel manager who was conveniently absent and not working until next day.

We choose this hotel based on availability--of course-- and its location. It is very close to the train station, without the noise of that, very central in the town, close to the Coop and another grocery store, and very near the Mannlichen cable car. The rooms on the 5th floor were nice, clean and had everything needed. One had a view of the mountains, the other of the village and church. Breakfast had a large variety of fruits, juices, breads and cold cuts, even some hot tomatoes and mushrooms were offered next to the omelettes.Personel helpful if there was any special request. On arrival we were told that the pool and sauna were closed for renovation, that should have been told earlier, as this was planned. The games for the worldcup were shown on a big screen in the garden, also for non-guests this was a nice addition to the service.During the games drinks and food ccould be ordered from the restaurant. The staff at the reception was always helpful with suggestions, also a lot of pamflets available with walking routes.
