Waldhotel Fletschhorn - Panoramic Retreat in Saas Fee

We had the most incredible stay at Waldhotel Fletschhorn — an experience we will cherish forever. The location is absolutely breathtaking, and the hotel itself is stunning: beautifully designed, stylish, yet wonderfully warm and comfortable. Travelling with our two boys, we were completely blown away by the level of care, kindness, and attention shown to our family. Every detail was thought through, and the team went above and beyond to ensure we were happy, well fed, relaxed, and enjoying every single moment of our stay. A very special mention to Filipe, who made every trip to and from town an unforgettable experience filled with laughter — the kids absolutely adored him. Anna was exceptional, ensuring everything was perfect from bookings and accommodation to meals and all the finer details in between. The food was outstanding — genuinely exceptional — as were the drinks. Every meal felt special and thoughtfully prepared. Spending Christmas away from our family back home could have been difficult, but the team at Waldhotel Fletschhorn made us feel like part of their family. The handwritten Christmas cards were such a beautiful, thoughtful touch. Returning to the hotel on Christmas Eve to perfectly timed mulled wine, softly falling snow, and that magical alpine atmosphere was something straight out of a dream — truly beyond our wildest expectations. Thank you to the entire team for making us feel so genuinely cared for and special. This hotel is something truly unique, and we hope with all our hearts that we will return one day. We stayed in Saas Fee for two nights as part of a trip around Europe, which took us from the UK to housesitting at a friend in Genoa. The Waldhotel Fletschhorn was an undoubted highlight of the trip The setting is just stunning. Saas Fee itself was a revelation, with the glacier looming above it, but the journey to the hotel, in the little electric buggy with it’s very friendly Italian driver, was an amazing further introduction for ourselves and our children. The staff at the hotel could not have been friendlier throughout our stay, showing a personal interest (our son received exam results while we were there for example) . The food was magnificent. We ate in the restaurant one night and had breakfast both days. It’s not cheap (this is an exclusive part of Switzerland after all) but it was pretty sensational. The free access to the ski lifts, which comes as part of the hotel price during the summer, was a very pleasant surprise. We took full advantage. All in all we would fully recommend the hotel both as a romantic getaway but also as a place for (well behaved) children.

We had an amazing summer weekend at this hotel. Everything was spotless, and all the staff were extremely kind and welcoming. The breakfast was incredibly delicious and the dinner portions were generous and tasty. Our big room with a balcony was calm and comfortable, perfect for relaxing. Taxis were always available to take us anywhere, and the drivers were so friendly and even showed us around. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we can’t wait to come back!

We have stayed at Waldhotel Fletschhorn, me and my wife, for 5 days and it was a beautiful experience ! The whole team of the Hotel ( Anna, Alina, Philip, Federico, Kevin and the rest of the staff) were extremely friendly and they made us feel as visiting some old friends or family members ! The quality of their restaurant is also very good. Anna, the manager of the Hotel, is doing an excellent job ! We hope to visit them again soon !

The hotel is located in a very quiet, secluded location, but still within walking distance of the village itself. If you come for peace and quiet, this is highly recommended. Very hospitably received by Anna, Laura, Philippe and their colleagues. Very friendly and service oriented. Food is delicious!
