A quick hop over to Phuket led us to try out this resort style hotel located on the south side of Patong and near to all the shopping, markets and wild nightlife. It takes about an hour drive to get here via the windy mountain roads or highway. Check in was quick and friendly. We were lucky to get an early room. We were offered the all inclusive upgrade package but was not worth it for our one night short stay. The food, lots of drink options and quality would make this an excellent value upgrade if you are here for a longer stay, about £52 a night extra. If you are not using an all inclusive package, there are many opportunities for happy hour deals at different times at different bars. The standard king room in building 3, floor 1, was tastefully furnished, modern and had good amenities. Larger than normal TV, mini fridge, complimentary water, safe, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers. The shower was modern at good pressure. The only thing lacking was storage, only a problem I would say if staying two weeks plus. The room and indeed the entire grounds were spotlessly clean. We had lunch at the Smokehouse restaurant. The burgers here are delicious and service friendly and on point. Unexpected good value too bearing in mind we are at a high end hotel. We took a look at the beach club with views over and towards Patong Beach. It was empty and commanded a guaranteed spend of over THB1500 if you wanted to relax on a Bali style bed. (Normal seating was free). I think the hotel would receive more visitors if they removed the minimum spend at non peak times. We stayed for evening Tuesday Thai Buffet dinner. Very good value, with cooking stations, great service, traditional Thai music and dancing. The Pad Thai and Coconut ice cream was gorgeous. Other nights set up for different themes. Not sure if the buffet themed nights are included in the all inclusive which otherwise allows ordering at all restaurants with very little menu limitation. The multiple pool options were relaxing and welcoming with ample sun beds available on our September off peak stay. Always a bar/snacks available nearby. There was a children’s pool area with slides available for any kids travelling with you. Breakfast was a big affair, lots of choice, with Eggs, Asian and Indian cooking stations. Service friendly again. The eggs station was not near the other cooked breakfast options though. No table service here unless ordering Omelettes which you can request using a slip from your table, taking it to the Egg Station and then wait for delivery. You had to get your own juices and coffee, so walking a little more than other hotels. The kids had their own buffet area. Checkout was quick and easy. Overall, a nice hotel. The staff were ultra friendly and helpful in all areas of the hotel and were the Marriotts biggest asset. The food was very tasty. The room choice would need to be considered for longer stays due to limited storage. Big thank you to Beer, Nema, Jo-oh, Hook, Jessie, Kwan and Kong for looking after us. I have included photos of the current happy hour and all inclusive menus for September 2026 which may go out of date but may help you make your boarding choices. BeLu London SEP26.

I have just returned from my fourth visit to this lovely hotel since April 2025!!! When I was shown to my room, not only had I been allocated the one requested but the bed was adorned with a "welcome back" message and a decoration featuring two small birds fashioned out of spare towels!! My third day was also my birthday which triggered more bed decorations and messages and a vase of fresh flowers!! The bed decorations featured on further occasions and I must thank maid Lula for her kindness and skill brightening up my days!! Otherwise, my days were spent as previously at various locations within the hotel!! Breakfast was taken at The Phuket Eatery with many thanks to Ja Ho, Mook, Beer, Jessie and so many others for the warm greetings every morning!! And the fabulous breakfast!!! Early evening drinks were taken at Endless Summer Beach Club which I will review separately!!! For dinner it was back to The Phuket Eatery where I was looked after by two out of Aoi, Zumo and Orra! All of them did their very best to keep me cool and happy!!! Food was excellent too!! After dinner, it was the long trek to The Lounge bar actually just across the corridor!!! There I was attended to by a selection from the lovely Palmmy, Ning, Katai and the new girl Thank You!!! I must say in conclusion that I had a wonderful time and apologies if I have missed anyone! I hope to be back yet again in the near future and look forward to seeing you all again!!!
