Akra Didim Resort & Spa

We had a wonderful stay of 11 nights at this fabulous hotel. We upgraded to a sea view in the adult area on arrival and couldn't have been more pleased with the view from our balcony. Thank you to Enes on reception for helping with this. The hotel is spotless everywhere and staff are always working so hard. We would like to thank Engin the rollerskating waiter at the adult pools bar for looking after us so well. We only used the QR code on the first day and after that Engin made sure we were never thirsty for the rest of our holiday. Such a lovely man. Also our housekeeper Makbule in block 1 floor 2. She was fantastic and made such a lovely job of cleaning our room and was always happy and smiling when we met her. The staff really make this hotel such a joy. The food here is next level, absolutely everything we ate was delicious in the buffet and all the al a carte restaurants. We managed to try most of them and our favourite was Incir which we managed to get to twice. No problem booking the restaurants. This is the first holiday we've ever used the Spa at a hotel and Wow! I think we have been spoiled as I cant imagine anywhere else being as beautiful! We had a wonderful stay and hope to return again very soon.

An Absolutely Outstanding Stay at Akra – Beyond Our Expectations! From the moment we arrived, our holiday was absolutely exceptional! ❤️ As loyal returning customers of the Akra group, and as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, we were incredibly fortunate to receive an impressive upgrade to a beautiful villa. What an amazing start to our holiday and such a wonderful gesture that made our anniversary even more special. We cannot thank the team enough! From the cleanliness of the resort and our accommodation to the outstanding food, service and hospitality, everything was second to none. Every member of staff we encountered went above and beyond to make sure we had the most amazing stay. The attention to detail, friendliness and genuine care shown throughout our holiday are what make the Akra experience so special. We were particularly fortunate to bump into an old friend from Akra Sorgun, Gökhan Güze, who kindly took the time to show us around all the restaurants. This was such a thoughtful gesture, and he truly went above and beyond for us. It was wonderful to see a familiar face and catch up again! Every one of these staff members deserves recognition for the excellent service they provide. They are a real credit to the Akra group and help create the kind of holiday experience that keeps guests returning year after year. We left with wonderful memories, feeling thoroughly spoilt and already looking forward to returning. The Akra team has once again reminded us why we choose to come back. This resort has almost everything! Once their pickleball courts are covered (and pools are heated in October) - it will be perfect. It’s modern, clean and nicely laid out. Food services are amazing and every member of the staff has a smile for a guest. Spa is impressive, albeit treatments are quite pricey. Very enjoyable and worth the money!

For context we are a retired couple of nearly 70 and mid 70s who love Turkey and have stayed in some great hotels like Maxx Royal, Regnum, Lujo, NG Phaselis, Barut And Akra hotels. All amazing in their individual ways but this hotel, Akra Didim is unique and something special. As I had booked whilst the hotel was still being constructed I had a few queries that were efficiently answered by Enes Topal who is a wonderful example of great customer service providing accurate and reassuring information.. He is the first ‘gem’ in a hotel of many. The hotel is spread over a wide area and built into a hill. It’s beautifully manicured by the wonderful gardeners who worked tirelessly on the plants and shrubs to make it a spectacle of colour and texture. The buggy call points and drivers were without exception helpful and friendly taking us around the hotel complex as requested. The outside escalator taking you from section to section ( if you didn’t want to use the steps) always worked and proved wonderful views across the bay. Our sea view room provided yet more fantastic views and had everything that you could need including toiletries of great quality along with shaving packs, toothbrush and paste. The bed was huge and the bedding itself super soft and Great quality. I requested softer pillows and the goose filled ones were amazing. We mostly settled each day by the adult pool which was peaceful and calm ( a big part of the hotels uniqueness in today’s fast moving and loud world). Please keep the adult pool music free or very low volume We loved spending our days here relaxing and again the views from the comfy sun loungers and padded day beds and infinity pool was something special. There were QR codes to order drinks to your lounger but we preferred the human touch and Engin the amazing roller blading waiter was always there topping up our drinks, learning our favourites and delivering them with a smile. Another credit to the hotel. Helpful to me was the option to enter the pool by proper steps or slopes rather than vertical steps which can be problematic for many and most importantly the pool water was heated and warm enough for my old bones! Also important to mention are the cleaning staff for maintaining all the toilet areas- not once was there a problem. Always clean and stocked with paper We prefer to eat in à la carte restaurants and the booking ahead by 2 days was effortless and we always got our choice. Guest experience where without exception helpful, spoken great English and had a ‘can do’ approach to anything I queried. I often spoke with Fatmanur who was friendly, helpful and had a beautiful engaging voice and smile. The good in all restaurants and the buffet was exceptional and all the chefs should be commended on their wonderful menus and presentation. Waiters again and without exception were polite, helpful and seemed really happy in their work. Our favourite restaurants were Salkim ( adult only) and Ovakbasi ( Turkish) but İncir and Tam (24 hour) were very close seconds. I love a traditional Turkish breakfast and this was kindly facilitated during my stay but I would like this to be opened up to more guests rather than just those in swim up rooms or the Priene lodges . Maybe it would be possible to offer repeat guests this option or open it up for à la carte booking? Also maybe open up a gözlemle station somewhere in the grounds and also provide an ice lolly freezer near the main pools and not just by the family beach for those who like this option as well as ice cream. The lobby bar team worked well together led by the lovely Fatma. Ibrahim x2 again learnt our favs and soon after arriving we had them on our table with nuts and crisps. It was a joy to watch the brilliant mixologist Cengizhan who seemed to care about every drink he made or poured. A real master in his art. We aren’t usually ones to watch evening entertainment but this hotel was the exception . The in-house entertainment team led by Mr Baran was multi talented and most had trained with degrees in dance . It was lovely to see and meet the team as they said hello daily and stopped to chat and check we were ok and enjoying our holiday. It was unusual to find a number of them came from the UK and they all worked incredibly hard and really seemed to help as a team Chloe, Neave, Izzy, Esma and Freya all great girls and I hope they stay on as they are all such brilliant dancers and entertainers. The guys were equally gifted and the shows more like musical theatre and a real experience. Thank you to each of you. This isn’t a full on party hotel but neither is boring . There is a nightclub and rather different types of activities and gym for those more energetic. We didn’t use the art and culture centre for any activities but with the emphasis on relaxation and calm there were varying opportunities for pottery, art and music all unique to find in hotel nowadays We had the amazing experience to participate in the harvesting of the hotels olive groves . Seeing the gardening team, people from the local villages and hotel staff all coming together to gather the olives was a rather emotional experience. So lovely to witness and wonderful to learn the olives would be sent to Antalya for processing into olive oil and the returned to the hotel for use. Witnessing how the hotel grows a lot of its own produce for use in the restaurants is truly special. It’s true to say all of the incredible staff, the wonderful unique quiet and calmness of the hotel has a very special place in my in my heart. It’s a feeling that I can’t wait to enjoy again and will look forward to returning next year.
