The Norm Collection Door'a

One of my favourite Holidays! The Norm hotel in Torba is a high end all inclusive resort with lots of great things going for it. Let’s start with the location and site. Situated in a popular bay in Torba, the norm has amazing access to the stunning sea. It’s not a small hotel, but it’s tucked away very nicely, making it seem not too busy, and spacious, while easily accessible. The hotel has great rooms, which are very clean and cosy. And the premises are stunning and well decorated. The food was great! Very delicious dishes served all day at the main restaurant, and the snack bar has some amazing options. We also went to the Turkish Alacart which serves wonderful meats and mezes. The pools are clean, easily accessible, just like the sea, which has a great decking area and hosts good evening performances/ music and a good bar. Speaking of bars, the bar staff are very helpful and you can order your drinks to anywhere you sit using a QR scanner. Very simple to use. I’d like to thank all the staff for their hard work and for looking after my family. Especially the Bar chief and the head of guest relations. Looking forward to visiting again.

Amazing location close to the airport. Amazing experience so far and the rooms are perfect. Staff are friendly and the food is good. Kids and wife are happy so I’m happy

The norm is an okay choice if you are on a budget and want to eat the same food every single day. We checked into a dirty hotel room which was directly underneath a noisy family. The rooms are marketed as soundproof, they are not. We asked to change room and the hotel obliged after a few requests. New room was in a “quiet” part of the hotel, but it was actually next to the staff quarters and the trash area which was smelly and noisy, even throughout the night. The rooms themselves are spacious, with nice sized bathrooms and wardrobe space. The beds are large but extremely hard. There are no irons provided in the room and when requested they state that you cannot have one “due to fire hazards”…. Of course this is just an excuse to get more money out of you, if it was for fire safety the pressing service would be included in the hotel price but it is not. We sent off items to be pressed which came back nicely done. The food is below average in our opinion. You are only eligible for 1 à la carte meal during your stay which you can book on the day and there is limited availability. Our meal in the Turkish was nice. The rest of the food leaves much to be desired, the breakfast buffet is probably the best meal of the day, but the lunch options and dinner options are often cold, chewy and sloppy. The beach bar serves the same food everyday and you can’t eat at your lounger. We found issues with the QR code ordering system which meant a lot of our orders were missed or came out wrong. The beach itself is man made and very small, not really enough space to enjoy a proper beach day; and the sunloungers are not the nice comfy ones shown on the hotel website. They are plastic or wooden. We played tennis on one occasion, but the rackets were all damaged and the court is not well maintained. If you were a family playing for fun then it is okay. Some positives: - the staff are polite - the pools are very aesthetically pleasing - the spa is a nice addition and can be used at your leisure - the drinks including cocktails are good - the gardens and property overall is well maintained. - the chicken tortilla at the pool snack bar that opens at 3 pm is delicious Overall, if you want to do nothing for a week and eat the same food everyday with only one different meal included in the “all inclusive PLUS” concept then this hotel is good. If you prefer more activities, a larger resort, good food and soundproof rooms, this hotel is not for you.

What can I say . As a well travelled person this is without a doubt the best hotel I have ever stayed in . The manager is an absolute gem . He makes sure you are looked after in every area . We had the pleasure of having a beautiful meal in the fish restaurant on the beach. Food staff experience was excellent. Later the manager checked in with us to make sure we were happy . The pool dining area is also great the staff and manager ( blue eyes ) make sure you have everything. The beach is amazing water is crystal clear and quite warm . There is also a lovely restaurant there again with great staff . I had a sports massage on my stay and both massage and spa area are well worth a visit . We had a lovely little lady help us to keep fit by the pool Cihannur was her name well done you made our holiday fun . Always smiling and in good form. We came to Turkey for a wedding but did not want to leave this hotel . If you are planning a trip I would 100 precent recommend this hotel . Hope this is helpful. Elaine

The entire adult animation team did a great job—the entertainment was relaxed and easy-going; Medeya and Ecrin were excellent. My child especially loved the kids' club and the animators—Kuralai, Dilan, and Derya; the children's activities were always engaging, and the evening shows with the mini-disco were adorable.
