Služby hotelu jsou na dobré úrovni, stravování kvalitní a pestré. Super dětské vodní hřiště s tobogány. Také jsme využívali dětský klub, kde byla prifesionální crew, plně sousředěná na děti, program se denně měnil, takže spokojenost. Za dcery děkujeme hlavně Kübre and sevim kubre za starost a péči.

I am very disappointed with my stay at Ducale Hotel. The first disappointment was the advertised imported alcohol. When I booked, the hotel promoted imported alcoholic drinks as part of the all-inclusive package. However, the only imported brand I could find at all the bars was Gordon’s Rosé gin. If you wanted anything else, such as imported vodka, tequila, Jack Daniel’s, or Johnnie Walker, you had to go to the reception lobby bar on the second floor, which was inconvenient and not what was advertised. The food was another major letdown. It lacked variety, tasted almost the same each plate, and each dessert. during my 7-day stay, the menu never changed. The snack service was also poorly organized. Ice cream, waffles, hot dogs, and baked potatoes…were each available for only one hour at different times of the day. The lines were so long that I often spent more time waiting than actually enjoying the food. Finally, there were a lot of mosquitoes and bugs around the hotel, which made it difficult to relax, especially in the evenings. Overall, this hotel did not meet the expectations created by its advertising. There is definitely room for improvement in the food variety, snack service, pest control, and transparency about what is actually included in the all-inclusive package.

Our stay at Hotel Ducale Lara had both positive and negative aspects. Positives: The hotel has been renovated, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the swimming pools with water slides for children are very good and enjoyable. Negatives: The food was very disappointing, with very little variety. Almost every day the main options were French fries, chicken, beans, and similar dishes. Children were left eating mostly French fries, rice, and chicken because there were very few suitable alternatives. Even the fish was not enjoyable. The service was the weakest point of the hotel. At the bars, local alcoholic drinks were usually served, and whenever we asked for original imported brands, the staff often made faces and said they were out of stock. To get something simple such as ice cream, waffles, snacks, or any other order, you had to wait in long lines. Overall, the hotel has good facilities and is suitable for families, but the food and service need significant improvement. I would rate the service 2 out of 5 stars.

Hotel is amazing, great variety of things to do and see! Nisa from guest relations is great, also head to the terrace for the evening Esin is great for the evening! Sandi is great at the bar and also so many names to remember! Would highly recommend!

This review is based on having previously stayed in 2 other hotels in Lara Beach in the last 2 years with our toddler. Good - Modern and new/updated decor. - All staff were very friendly and attentive. Special mention to Husain (breakfast front veranda) and Ersin (dinner back veranda). - Lovely size pool. Never too busy. Lots of shallow for kids. Nice to have swim up bar. - No 6am dash for sunbeds - at 10am you can still grab some. - Great fun slides that are in close proximity to one another for all ages. Little ones can go on some big slides with swimming aids. - Aircon is effective (keep curtains closed when in sun) keeping room around 21 degrees. - Great powerful walk-in shower that doesn’t leak and always hot water. - À la carte is tasty, 5 courses and great value for money (€19pp, under 4 free) - Several free restaurant options for lunch (until 4/5pm) (pizza/pasta, doner, burger/chicken/hot dogs/jacket potatoes). - Evening entertainment (kids show/main show/live music) is great and consistent with the area. - The rooms are generally quiet, pretty well soundproofed away from evening entertainment of this hotel and others. Areas for improvement - Food in main restaurant is very repetitive. Lunch and dinner is similar and virtually the same day after day, with hardly any variation on how it’s cooked and no specials. - Food lacks premium you’d expect with 5* e.g. smoked salmon/salmon. - The only kids playground is pathetic with 2 slides, 2 swings and 3 seesaws. No sun shade so unusable of an afternoon. - No kids playroom open of outside of kids club (past 8pm). - Not adapted for kids e.g. low sinks/steps, small toilet seat adapters (the result of which means puddle of wee infront of every toilet), small chairs in kids dining area. - Pools are missing a lot of floor tiles, especially kids pools. This is dangerous and baffles me why the kids pool particularly couldn’t have been drained for a day to fix. - Exclude the massaging others/strangers from the aqua aerobics (looked fun until that). - Attention to detail required in all areas e.g. painting incomplete, tile grout missing. - Unclear what staff speak what languages - my partner and I had to switch between English and Russian to get things). Suggestion for name badges with languages spoken. - Reduce price of cabanas from around €150 per day for 2 people, and don’t charge per person but per cabana surely as these should be great for families. - Have ambient lighting in the main lobby bar of an evening instead of bright spotlights - completely lacks ambiance. - Criminally expensive shops (e.g. €18 for a water gun and €27 for a kids waterproof unbranded t-shirt AFTER haggling) / kids arcade (e.g. €10 for 5 mins on a trampoline or 6 mins on an electric car). In all, we enjoyed our stay, but wouldn’t rush back until the areas for improvement listed above are addressed. I’d be interested to hear the hotels view on when this might be? We preferred the other 2 hotels we’ve stayed in Lara, and with so much choice would happily try somewhere different too than rush back.
