Sunthalia Hotel & Resort

Byli jsme opravdu překvapení s přístupem všech zaměstnanců v tomto hotelu. Animátoři byly perfektní zajímali se o každého hosta a jejich přístup byl velice osobní a přátelský. Jídlo bylo úžasné a všude vládl pořádek a čistota velice rádi se sem opět v co nejbližší době vrátíme.

Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and, in our experience, it did not come close to the 5-star standard advertised. The food was one of the biggest issues. There was very little variety, with many of the same options appearing day after day, and the food was often lukewarm at best. There were plenty of empty tables in the buffet restaurant, but many were covered in dirty plates, meaning there was nowhere clean to sit. The entertainment was also hugely disappointing. A number of activities advertised by the hotel simply weren’t happening. We attended the 10:30am yoga session twice after specifically being told at the activity desk that it was running, only for no instructor to arrive either time. There was no aqua aerobics and no foam party as advertised. The so-called “pool party” was essentially just music being played through a different speaker. The large terrace area had no music or TVs and, overall, the hotel had absolutely no atmosphere. The service was poor throughout our stay. Staff rarely smiled, we were very rarely offered drinks and often felt as though we were an inconvenience. Even at dinner, nobody came to offer drinks and we had to serve ourselves. As a result, our only realistic drink option with our evening meals was water. The drinks available also tasted extremely cheap and were, in our opinion, unpleasant. The rooms were far from relaxing. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, and there was virtually no soundproofing between rooms. We could hear normal conversations from neighbouring rooms, as well as things such as someone entering the code into their safe. This made it difficult to properly relax or sleep. There were also issues around cleanliness and safety. Tables around the pool were still covered in dirty plates first thing in the morning, suggesting they hadn’t been cleaned overnight. The smooth tiling around the pool becomes extremely slippery when wet, which felt like an unnecessary safety concern. Sadly, the lack of atmosphere and the limited activities were so disappointing that we actually decided to cut our holiday short and fly home a day early. We had expected a 5-star all-inclusive holiday and instead found ourselves with very little to do and nowhere that felt particularly enjoyable to spend time. The one genuine positive was the spa. We had an excellent massage which was probably the best massage I’ve ever had, and the prices were very reasonable. Unfortunately, this was the only part of the hotel experience that lived up to our expectations. Overall, based on our experience, this hotel does not deserve its 5-star rating. There are some serious improvements needed to the food, service, entertainment, cleanliness, atmosphere and general guest experience.

We arrived on the 10th of September 26 and was greeted by quite a rude reception that were reluctant to help, we eventually got into our room because the lock was faulty and required maintenance to come and repair. There was a smell of sewage, couldn’t pin point it but you could smell it from the room and around the pool area. The food was far from 5* very repetitive and the one time tried chicken it was still raw, we ended up eating out at the faulty friends on a regular basis, which was excellent and very accommodating. The staff are very rude with the exception of the man who serves you around the pool and at one point one of the staff said to my wife ‘’woman move’’ which is disgusting hospitality This is definitely not a place that your made to feel welcome if you are British and that was quite apparent on multiple occasions. I would never return here and wouldn’t give any rating at all but had to choose 1

Advertised as a 5 star hotel but far from that. Let’s start with the hotel. It’s advertised as a 5 star ultra all inclusive hotel. But you would expect something different from a 5 star hotel. There is a bad sewer odour in our room, and we heard from other guests it’s the same. Also the rooms are not sound proof at all. Guests being very loud when you’re trying to sleep. We also had power outages each day, during our entire stay, sometimes even multiple times a day and for as long as 10 minutes. The hotel doesn’t seem to have a backup generator to keep things running. Which you would expect from a 5 star hotel, that they would at-least be able to keep things running. Then the staff. Staff is rude, and you don't feel welcome at all. We are used to being properly welcomed, we didn't feel welcome at any moment during our stay. Some guests got welcomed by bringing their luggage up the room, others were treated differently. They are also understaffed during dinner, which resulted in drinks taking up to 10 minutes before they arrive, or getting orders wrong. The nicest interaction we got was with the cleaning lady, which says a lot. The food… not 5 star worthy at all. Food was often cold, and no real variation at all. They switch between Turkish night and international night, but there is barely any variance in dishes. Food was basically the same each day as well as during lunch and dinner. Showcooking food stations also closed earlier as advertised. Late night “buffet” is just some rice and soup, very basic. Also they advertise “ultra” all inclusive with 24/7 drinks. But after midnight drinks need to be paid, this was very disappointing and we feel misled. The beach is nice, the shuttle to the beach is a chaos.

I been in this hotel just arrived home it's not ultra all inclusive after 1 am they charge cash for drinks. They are not cleaning the tables on the beach the bus it's a car from 2000 no air con this is a max 3 star hotel...and the food it's poor to.
