We visited Voyage Kundu during the second week of opening. The food and drink make this one of the best premium all-inclusive hotels we’ve experienced, and the staff work incredibly hard. The "Voyage Assistant" concept is a fantastic touch for getting issues sorted and fulfilling small requests. While the resort has excellent WiFi and modern facilities, there are a few housekeeping and snagging issues you’d expect from a brand-new hotel. Here is a detailed breakdown of our stay: 🍹 Food & Drink: Exceptional The Drinks: Superior to many 5-star all-inclusives we’ve visited in Turkey and Egypt. Cocktails are made with fresh ingredients right in front of you. The Food: Absolutely incredible. We were highly impressed with the selection of meats, fish, vegetables, and salads at the main dining areas. À La Carte Restaurants: We tried the Turkish, Asian, Italian, and Steak restaurants. The Asian restaurant was our absolute favorite overall, but you simply cannot beat the Steak restaurant when you want a good, juicy cut of beef. We had a large Tomahawk and a Ribeye there—both cooked perfectly to our liking. Note: The food temperature at the à la cartes was occasionally questionable, but everything was still very tasty and we had no stomach issues during our stay. Menus: They use QR codes, but some items are missing photos or ingredient descriptions, which makes ordering a bit of a guessing game. 🛏️ Rooms & Housekeeping: A Mixed Bag The Good: The rooms are small but modern and well-equipped. The AC and ceiling fan are great, and there are plenty of power outlets. The smart TV has Netflix and YouTube. The bed is delightfully firm (though a bit low to the ground) and the pillows are very comfortable. The minibar was well-stocked. The Bad: The bathroom lighting is too dim. More importantly, the plumbing needs work. Our sink leaked into the drawer below, and the improperly fitted shower door allowed water to escape. Shower pressure was intentionally set very low, though maintenance fixed this once we complained. Housekeeping & Minibar Service: This needs major improvement. Floors weren't vacuumed when obviously needed, and the advertised turndown service didn't happen until we specifically requested it. We often returned to find missing towels, insufficient toilet paper, and unreplenished soap or coffee pods. Additionally, the minibar service needs a better system. If we had our "Do Not Disturb" sign on in the morning but left the room in the afternoon, we completely missed the restock. It would be helpful if it was more obvious when the staff do their rounds so guests don't miss out. 🏖️ Pools & Beach: Great Service, Limited Seating The Pools: Very pleasant (a more natural hue rather than the usual bright blue). A major standout is that you can order food and drinks directly to your sun lounger via the app—no waiting for a waiter to spot you! The Loungers: A bit uncomfortable and surprisingly scarce around the pool for only week two of opening. I suspect sunbed availability will become a real issue at full capacity. The Beach: It's okay, but it needs some work to feel "luxurious." The sand is mixed with shells and stones, so bring water shoes! You also can't walk along the beach beyond the hotel property limits. Safety Note: Glass is allowed in all pool and beach areas, which was a first for us and felt like a health and safety risk but did add that extra luxury touch. 🎭 Entertainment & Facilities Evening Shows: Top-notch. There is a huge outdoor area with a large stage, state-of-the-art lighting, and a great sound system. We never struggled to find a seat, and the acts were amazing. Tip: Smoking is allowed, which can be an issue for non-smokers in the audience. Daytime Activities: No daytime shows, but great recreational activities (darts, volleyball, etc.). Gym & Spa: No expense spared! The gym has the latest equipment and a great detox juice/vitamin bar. The large indoor pool was lovely and quiet. Shops: Fairly priced essential shops located on level -1, and you can conveniently bill purchases to your room. 📍 Location & Transport The hotel is about a 30-minute drive from the airport. Isolation: There is absolutely nothing going on outside the hotel—no shops, cafes, or bars within walking distance. You will need transport to go anywhere. Taxis: Ride apps (Uber, BiTaksi, Yandex) didn't seem to work, likely due to local restrictions. There is a taxi rank next door, but be wary of price gouging. Use the ride apps to check the estimated fare, and always insist they use the meter! 👏 Standout Staff Most guests during our stay were Russian; in fact, staff told us we were their first English guests. Language could occasionally be a barrier, but the staff were universally helpful, attentive, and welcoming. Special shoutouts to: Ece & Tuana (Voyage Assistants): Brilliant at helping with all our requests. Emre (Entertainment): Extremely engaging, fun, and his excellent English made conversation flow effortlessly. Hasan (Main Bar): Super friendly and crafts amazing cocktails. A true credit to the team! 💡 Areas for Improvement For management, a few tweaks could make this a flawless 5-star experience: 📝 More sunbeds and a better system to ensure availability. 📝 Housekeeping consistency needs to be strictly monitored. 📝 Fix room snagging issues (plumbing leaks, shower doors, low pressure). 📝 Upgrade the beach area and add a bar seating area overlooking the sea. 📝 Improve the App by adding a resort map and more detailed facility information. 📝 Rethink the minibar restock system so guests who use the "Do Not Disturb" sign in the mornings don't slip through the cracks when they leave later in the day. 📝 Vary the background music—having piano music on a constant loop will drive your hardworking staff insane!
