We stayed at the Diamond Bijoux for 2 weeks. All of the staff were fantastic. At some hotels you feel like the staff are just going through the motions, but here the staff were genuinely pleased to see you, friendly, kind, warm, and couldn’t do enough for you. All were really lovely but a special mention should go to Asha, and Grace who made sure we had what we needed from the bar and Makame who provided the sunshine to the evening’s entertainment - and taught us the dance moves. What was great compared to other all inclusives is that there is no getting up early to reserve a sun bed, or choose where you sit, and no waiting or queuing. Everything is very gentle and relaxing. Our deluxe room was upgraded to include a sea view and was beautiful with a 4 poster net surrounding a huge bed, which was kept immaculately throughout our stay. The setting is stunningly beautiful; just how you would imagine a tropical paradise. Gorgeous soft white sand, turquoise sea and palm trees. Weather was super-fuelled UV, very hot and coupled with a beautiful cool breeze. The food was excellent. Less ostentatious than some hotels, and we really enjoyed it. Good variety and everything is home-made and made fresh – the curries were delicious. Ice cream was made on site and the peanut butter ice cream the best we had ever tasted. They mixed up the food styles and locations where you ate which was good, with different themes and barbeques. Fabulous varied entertainment and the staff were always on hand to chat, help or join in the fun and also to teach us a bit of Swahili. If you’re looking for banging tunes and lots to do around the hotel, this isn’t for you, but if you want total relaxation and a beautiful peaceful setting then this is the place to come.
Diamonds Bijoux (Zanzibar, Tanzania) has been exceptional, and I wasn’t even a guest at their resort. A dear friend of mine was their guest on a work retreat, and it so happened that she’d still be there (outside her home country) during her milestone birthday. We decided to plan a special treat for her as a surprise. We knew no one at Zanzibar and we didn’t want to engage the people around her to ruin it so we reached out to the Resort for their assistance and boy were we impressed! They took it upon themselves and organized everything. * A Bouquet of Roses * Special Birthday Cake with a card * Special Happy Birthday Song (in the local language, Swahili + English) * Any other complimentary treats, including room decor, etc. They went out of their way to make sure the celebrant was at the right place at the right time to be adequately suprised. A special shout outs to Lindy and Talent. You guys were splendid. 🫶🏿 A Ten Star rating for you. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
An Absolutely Wonderful Experience! Everything about our stay was absolutely stunning! The hotel, facilities, atmosphere and service exceeded our expectations. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the exceptionally friendly, warm and helpful staff. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome and special. A very special mention to Lindy, Agha and Elizabeth, who went above and beyond our expectations. Their outstanding hospitality, kindness and attention to detail made our stay even more memorable. Thank you to the entire team for an amazing experience. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would highly recommend this hotel!
A truly lovely stay at Diamonds Bijoux! Beautiful scenery, excellent hospitality, and our needs were met at every moment. I’ll definitely be bringing my guests back here again. A special shout-out to Lindy for being so welcoming and hospitable, making our stay even more memorable!
Beautiful Property, but Service and Systems Need Serious Improvement Diamond Bijoux is undoubtedly a beautiful property. The infrastructure, aesthetics, and overall setting are impressive. Unfortunately, the service experience does not yet match the standard the hotel appears to be aiming for. From the moment we arrived, there were operational challenges. Our rooms were not ready at check-in, and once we were eventually accommodated, no proper orientation was provided regarding the hotel’s facilities, services, or what was included in our all-inclusive package. This lack of communication became particularly frustrating when I ordered room service, only to be informed afterwards that it was not included in our package. What was even more disappointing was the inconsistency in information provided to guests. Upon following up at reception, we discovered that some guests had been informed during orientation that room service was excluded, while another group arriving later that evening had apparently been told that 24-hour room service was included. Our group had received no orientation whatsoever. The inconsistency extended to the restaurant and wait staff, who appeared either unsure of the hotel’s policies or unconcerned about resolving the confusion. We also experienced issues with our food, further adding to an already underwhelming service experience. I would like to acknowledge Zainab at reception, who genuinely appeared to be doing her best to find answers and assist us. Unfortunately, she seemed to have limited authority to resolve the situation. The most disappointing interaction was with the hotel manager, referred to as Mr. Talent. Rather than acknowledging the hotel’s failure to communicate its policies consistently, his primary focus seemed to be insisting on payment for the room service. For me, this demonstrated a lack of customer-centric problem-solving and accountability, particularly when the confusion originated from the hotel’s own operational shortcomings. My overall impression is that Diamond Bijoux has invested considerably in its physical infrastructure, but the same level of investment is not yet evident in its service delivery, staff training, communication, and operational systems. A beautiful hotel can attract guests, but it is the quality of service that brings them back. My recommendation? Give Diamond Bijoux another six months to get its systems, staff alignment, and guest experience in order before booking. There is certainly potential here, but at present, the experience does not justify the expectations created by the property itself.
