We had a wonderful stay at Jaz Elite Aurora. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. Our room was comfortable, the food was delicious, and the beach was absolutely beautiful. All the staff were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the entertainment and the activities organized throughout the day. There was always something to do, but at the same time the atmosphere was relaxing. The location is a little bit far but it’s still okay. Its quiet place, with entertainment in the evening until 10 pm maximum. 😊 Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Jaz Elite Aurora to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing holiday. We would love to come back! 🌴☀️

Firstly we have been to All Inclusives allover the world so this is our honest review of this hotel on our first trip to Zanzibar. The hotel firstly isn’t 1 year old, don’t be fooled. JAZ bought the hotel 1 year ago and completed some renovations however the hotel is noticeably older than 1 year old and this shows throughout the site. We first arrived and was greeted with juice and shown to our room. The headboard of the bed was thick of dust, inside the wardrobes dusty and full of bits. The room overall not as clean as you would expect. 3 flights of stairs too, not a problem for us but would be for people slightly less able. We arrived at 21:30 and by the time we checked in and got to our room Dinner was finished. We were informed we could attend the restaurant and we where made some chicken and rice which truthfully after allot of travelling we where grateful for. Day one we participated in some games with the animation team (overall they’re a good bunch, can’t fault them) and missed the 14:30 lunch cut off point. We also missed the 16:00 lunch al a carte so we’re told we would have to wait until 18:30 for dinner which in an all inclusive I don’t expect, It’s common and somewhat expected for food to be accessible all day. No drinks in the minibar and anything used from there is charged. Breeze al a carte wouldn’t bother with. Below average food. Sushi restaurant we both got food poisoning from and was ill for 4 days. (Multiple guests got ill during our stay, one was on a drip) Seafood al a carte is worth it, especially with the jetty views. Grill house is also below average. Buffet is terrible, small quantity to chose from. Poor choices and not what I would expect at all from a 5*. Definitely not enough staff, service is agonisingly slow. Drinks take 15 mins to reach you the pool. (No pool swim up bar either) Usually finished your evening meal before a drink reaches you. No napkins on tables, ever. Service again is very very below par. Small things like all drinks served in plastic cups, even water. Lager is poured from cans as are soft drinks etc so why can you not just hand the bottle for ease? Pools where noticeably dirty, beach is man made so don’t expect ‘Zanzibar beach’ I booked this hotel from trip advisor reviews and im astonished what people are looking at compared to my stay. The food felt more European 4* than luxury 5*. Truthfully don’t waste your money at this hotel when Zanzibar should be a magical stay. Would never visit again, nor would I book a Jaz hotel again.

Our stay at Jaz Elite Aurora was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful the hotel is — the décor is absolutely stunning, modern yet warm, and the whole place feels like a luxury retreat tucked away in paradise. Swim‑Up Room Bliss We stayed in a swim‑up room with partial sea and garden views, and it was honestly dreamy. Peaceful, relaxing, and the perfect place to unwind. Having direct pool access felt like such a treat. A couple of small improvements would make the experience even better for a 5‑star all‑inclusive hotel: • Drinks in the fridge as part of the stay • An iron and ironing board in the room But even without these, the room was gorgeous and incredibly comfortable. Vegan Dining Made Easy (Thanks to Chef Ibrahim!) As a vegan couple, we mainly used the buffet. While the vegan/vegetarian labels could definitely do with updating, Chef Ibrahim completely transformed our experience. He came out at every single meal to walk us through what we could eat and even prepared special dishes just for us. His kindness, attention, and genuine care made such a difference — we’ve struggled at other hotels, but here we felt truly looked after. Huge shoutout to the wonderful staff who made our stay even better: Frank, Halima, Loveness, Abdallah, and Edward at the 24‑hour bar. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely warm. A Holiday We’ll Never Forget Me and my partner had an amazing experience from start to finish. The hotel, the staff, the atmosphere — everything came together to create a truly memorable stay.
