This is a beautiful property with stunning beach and delicious food with inconsistent level of service to be considered a luxury property. The rooms and grounds are stunning and spacious, well appointed with one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. The beach and water is one of the most beautiful we have ever seen and experienced. However, as soon as you go near the water you are harassed by locals to book trips and have to listen to boat traffic all day long. Kind of ruins the serenity. The food was amazing at the buffets and à la cartes. Something for everyone and always fresh and delicious. However the service at the buffet was highly variable. There were many times water was never refilled and plates stacked, while other times this was never an issue. We wanted to book time at the spa or have a beach massage but there was never any availability (and we never actually saw anyone getting a massage for days there). Similar good luck getting the à la cartes. Mamba island snorkelling was magical and we highly recommend that you do not miss out on this gem! Ultimately this is a beautiful hotel with good service but has shortcomings with beach issues and a variable level of service.

Beautiful holiday in Zanzibar for 12 days; the highlights the colours and sounds of Africa which you definetlty experience at the Mora. The people are so welcoming and you learn the art of slowly slowly or pole or pole staying here. Stand out moments; a massage from Salome best massage in 20 years, The Freedom Dancers stunning acrobatics and traditional dance, and a not to miss must for anyone coming to Zanzibar a trip to the stunning sandbank Nakupenda and would 100 percent recommend @Dallaman Zanzibar as a a guide. The beach is beautiful, yes tidal but that means you get your own mini sandbanks which are beauty in themselves. Its straight across from Mnemba island where you swim with golden fish and see dolphins. The most important of my stay were the people, Rama- recreation who made me smile every morning, Ziada- bar who felt like saying goodbye to a family friend, Juhn -chef tepanyaki with his amazing show and food, Mercy for my much needed 1am latte and Rehema -Guest experience who listened and made my trip great. A beautiful holiday with memories for a lifetime. Looking forward to planning next stay!

We just flyed back after 10 days at The Mora. the Resort deserves the 5 stars- Restaurants,Bars, Pools, Sport Center, Diving Center Tgi, staff always smiling and ready to support. nice rooms ocean view. All in all, a good choice. we loved it and we would go back again in the future. just a note on the beach: with high tide and sun shining, the beach is stunning. but look to the calendar and time schedule…low tide comes every day and it makes the access to the sea really bad in those hrs also the traffic of small turistic boats in front of the beach hotel is a minus. special thanks to Andrea and Valtur team that made our stay truly special.

Wonderful, luxury hotel at a beautiful location on Zanzibar. The staff, rooms, and food were fabulous. The mini bar was restocked daily without cost, there was always an abundance of sunbeds to choose from and the general high quality and feel of the hotel made our stay exceed our expectations .
