Renaissance Aruba Beach Resort & Casino

This is a nice hotel - stayed here about 4 days in September - though I would not call it a good value. Did not want all-inclusive and in the end did not take huge advantage of the "resort" aspect and didn't love the location. It is well-maintained and staff were friendly and helpful, the room was plenty big and the pool is great and the spa was amazing (did a couples beach massage, reviewed separately). We stayed in the adults-only/Marina and this had pros and cons. No kids was the main plus (but being there over Labor Dy when school is starting, there were not a lot of families in general). I probably would have preferred staying at Ocean Suites because it has a lot more of a beach/resort vibe (including a a nice little lagoon area) than Marina, which is more urban. I often like staying in an urban setting but here, it's not like there's a ton of nearby nightlife to take advantage of. We ended up taking cabs frequently which were not cheap, to head up to eat closer to Eagle and Palm Beach. Did go to Renaissance Island and saw the flamingos which was nice but hardly a reason on it's own to stay here ... I personally would not consider that a can't-miss Aruba experience.

I visited the Renaissance Wind Creek resort with my wife in September. The resort was great. The best part was the access it provided to Renaissance Island by way of water taxi. The taxi was easy to access from the lobby of the hotel. We decided to go to the island early one morning for breakfast. The Papagayo Grill didn’t start serving breakfast until 8:30 but an amazing server, Luciano Panto Plet, served us coffee to hold us over til breakfast. He tracked us down on the beach once breakfast was being served. The breakfast was amazing and Luciano’s service was even better. Definitely a highlight of our stay in Aruba.

We enjoyed our stay at the Marina Hotel in the Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort. Our bellman, Ceasar, helped us get parked, showed us our check-in area and then helped with our bags. Othewise, it is very kaotic getting checked in. We were early and the staff made accomodations for us to get settled and find a place for our luggage. The staff is very nice and professional. The first afternoon, we visited Renaissance Island (formally Sonesta, when we were in Aruba 28 years ago). It was great to find a chair and have a couple of drinks and a snorkel. The bartender was terrific!! We ate at Aquarius the first night and it was great once we found the seafood grill. The griller and the waitress were awesome also. Once aclimated to the resort, we enjoyed the oceanfront, the oceanfront bar, the casinos, and the shops and market around the resort. Again, I cannot say enough about Ceasar and his help in making this a great stay.

We spent 9 nights here for our honeymoon and had the best time. We stayed in the ocean suites area because we wanted to spend most of our time relaxing by the pool and didn’t want a party vibe. It was great. September is the “off season” which meant we had our pick of the sun loungers most days. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We found all staff to be like this, regardless of their role. Water Zumba was super fun and the flamingo island is not to be missed!! We spent a day in a cabana and had a great time! Most of days we spent at Sole bar and were well looked after. We did all inclusive and it was good value for money if you like cocktails - we enjoyed lots of cocktails from the menu but in particular the frozen pina coladas! Our favourite restaurant in the all inclusive was Aquarius for the fresh fish and for breakfast it was papygyo on the flamingo island. The steakhouse was also nice but you need to book in advance. On Thursday evening we did a BBQ on the beach at ocean suites which was tasty and the entertainment (carnival dancers and local musicians) was very good.

Didn’t stay on site but Casino verynice all staff accommodating for whatever needed.
