Agriturismo Su Vrau

This was not the intimate agritourismo we were expecting - it is a large hotel, catering to vast weddings on Saturdays - the noise of which kept us awake all night. Rooms were spacious and clean but sterile and often with things wrong (the internet didn't work at all; in the first room we were in a large panel had fallen off the wall exposing plumbing pipes and the shower didn't drain). Walls are wafer-thin and you can hear everything in the next room. The food is over-priced and not particularly good and the staff, although mostly friendly, are unhelpful. I would not recommend staying here and we certainly will find somewhere else to stay should we return to Sardinia.

Unfassbar: Halbpension gebucht u. erst bei Ankunft über geschlossene Küche informiert. Frühstück/Abendessen in 6km Entfernung erhalten. Essen dort war kaum genießbar. Sa u. So excessive Familienfeiern bis früh morgens. Vermieter unhöflich u. überheblich. Incroyable: appris qu'il n'y a pas de demi-pension à l'arrivée (réservé à cause de la cuisine saine et typiquement sadique); incités à prendre les repas dans un hôtel à 6km de distance. Lá-bas des repas à peine comestibles. Déception sur toute la ligne!! Attention aussi aux fêtes de familles (300 personnes) qui sont bruyant et durent jusqu'au petit matin!! Unbelievable: this hotel plays with people's good faith. They promise good local dishes, reception 24/7 and on site nothing is given. Even the room cleaning wasn't executed regularly. But the worst was the closed kitchen and disgusting food in another hotel, suggested in 6 km distance. On top, we had to support big families parties with more than 200 people lasting until early in the morning. What a deception for a holiday : (

We come here almost every year, since ten years. Some time back we left 5 stars, but we just can’t go for more than 3, also when comparing cost/benefit with other places. Location is timeless magical! That alone is a reason to come here. Staff and host family are very friendly. Breakfast is superb. The new bar at the pool is fantastic. Wireless works great (I use to work a few hours every day). Unfortunately other aspects deteriorated. Once paradise for families with children, it’s now a party place for local extended families on the week-ends and accommodation for older motorcyclists during the week (very nice chaps, don’t get me wrong).The rooms are on the expensive side and very different in standard and size. Dinner is too expensive for what you get. Vegetarian options don’t exist - maybe one of the reasons why the place seems to have less attractivity to younger customers. A recent expansion (Fior di Sardegna) may bind the attention of the owners and require funds - only explanation we have for why this once wonderful place became mediocrish. We will likely give it another chance, next time in Sardegna, as the place and the nice staff and owners definitely have the potential to be top class again…. and we just love the place.

Great service and great food. For sure one of the best food experiences I had this summer. From the top, you have an amazing view of Posada and its Castle. I kindly recommend you to visit it a few minutes before sunset. The restaurant is perfect for big groups and romantic couples. At Su Vrau you can taste amazing seafood as well as traditional Sardinian food. Nothing bad to say.

A nice hotel. Great rooms with a nice view. A good buffet breakfast. Each morning you choose the dinner you want in the evening. Ask if you want something different from the menu. You will probably need a car as the hotel is a little remote.
