What a horrible experience. Rude staff, worn out rooms, ants in the bathroom of room 208, walls that need repainting, and a bad smell don’t even begin to cover the problems with this hotel. The hotel has some sort of business understanding with UBI Transfer that is leading to tourists getting scammed. The owner of UBI Transfer, Paolo, ripped us off by charging 500 euros going to our destination while another private car service only charged us 180 euros coming back. We accepted the UBI Transfer ride because the hotel made it sound like there were no other options available, but it seems like they just didn’t call any other service because they wanted to give UBI Transfer the business. In fact, we were never offered other taxi or private car service information to choose from. We were only offered UBI Transfer. After we were abandoned 1.5 hours away from the hotel by UBI Transfer and had to find our own ride back, we had another debacle with the hotel front desk. The day before, I asked them to make a reservation at a nearby restaurant at a specific time with outdoor seating. It turns out that they never made the reservation because it kept getting passed to the next person’s shift. Then, when Paolo abandoned us, they assumed we would not make the dinner anyway, so they never made the reservation. I know this because the front desk explicitly told me so later on. When we did make it back to the hotel, the first thing they asked was whether we would be making our reservation. When I said yes, they quickly scrambled to call the restaurant. When the restaurant said they did not have a reservation for us, we returned to clarify with the front desk, and they admitted that they never made the reservation because they assumed we would not make it since Paolo had left us behind. The key word here is ASSUMED. They never bothered to ask if we still wanted the reservation or to check on us and whether we could make it back to the hotel after the car service they recommended abandoned us. When we expressed our frustration at this completely unprofessional behavior, both individuals at the front desk became hostile and defensive, refusing to take any responsibility. They continued making crude gestures, raising their voice, refusing to provide their names, and one even walked away because she refused to engage any further. Having spent hard earned money to come enjoy our vacation, I was shocked to be treated so disrespectfully. When they got the manager on the phone, she started blaming us for not making a reservation directly with the restaurant. What is the point of a hotel front desk if not to make reservations for the guests? Why say you will make the reservation if you won’t actually do it? The hotel tried to compensate with a free dinner in their restaurant. However, this was after they already yelled at us and so we had no interest in eating their food. Furthermore, this did not fix the core issue that they failed to do their job and make the reservation in the first place or take accountability and apologize. In the end, the manager never followed up to see what happened, and we received the cold shoulder from staff for the rest of the trip. Overall, the staff are so mean and unprofessional that I will never step foot into Sardinia again. All they care about is money. The only statement I heard over and over is “are you sure you want to spend the money on Uber or taxi.” To anyone from the hotel that reads this review, please do both of us a favor and don’t bother providing some AI-generated response. Instead focus on using guests’ money and renovate the run down hotel that has too many safety hazards to list. Here is a tip start with the worn out hallway carpets so people don’t trip and hurt themselves. Then focus on pest control.

The location of this hotel is about a mile from the city centre of Olbia and 15 mins from the airport. It is within 30 mins (traveling by car) of some of the nicest beaches including Bados, Porto Cervo, Marina Maria and Porto San Paolo (where you get the ferry to Tavolara). We walked into town once and I wouldn’t recommend it. Sweaty by the time we got there. There is a bus stop outside the hotel and it’s €1.50 per person single. Much more relaxing. Hiring a car is essential as there isn’t much to do in Olbia other than shop and eat. The hotel is modern and practical, spacious and has car parking and an over flow car pool ark at the back. There is a Lidl half a mile away but the supermarket next door is local and fantastic for snacks water and local treats. There is also a great Pizzeria across the road, SPQR. The rooms are large enough with hanging and folding space and a safe for valuables. Plenty of room for bags to store. The beds are so clean and comfortable and they keep the hotel very clean and tidy. The air con is tip top and the lighting and key entry system are very modern. Their staff are very friendly and helpful and all speak English. They helped us with hiring a small car, using the buses, places to shop, recommended restaurants and beaches they enjoyed. The hotel even give you beach equipment including umbrellas and toys for free. These can prove expensive to hire at the beaches. The breakfast bar is clean, fresh and organized. Great atmosphere made by restaurant staff. So helpful and patient. The menu is great although a little expensive. But the chef was happy to go off menu and prepared Pomodoro and cacio e Pepe for the kids. People have put reviews in before about this being a slightly noisy hotel but I personally didn’t find that at all. Room 317 is near the road and there is a traffic rumble but unless you live in the countryside this shouldn’t affect you. The pool downstairs is clean and has QR code service. This is the only place we encountered mosquitoes. If you stay in the pool you’ll be fine. However, the roof top pool was lovely and a lot more chilled and mosquito free. Not deep and not really for kids. It also has its own bar and bistro. There’s no entertainment in the hotel, no tv for sports but this is what makes for a friendly relaxing environment. You can travel into Olbia if you want more night life. This hotel is ideal for a relaxing beach holiday for couples and families. If you like fast paced and loud, try somewhere else. This hotel is very chilled and the super friendly staff make the stay much more enjoyable. I would go back in a heartbeat!!
