Hotel Palazzo Doglio

Little lost for words as to what to say. We were very impressed on arrival and well looked after, we were taken to our suite which we were pleased with however when my partner went to use the bathroom she was somewhat dismayed to discover that the toilet had not been properly cleaned after someone had obviously been unwell in it We called reception who turned up with the head of housekeeping, whilst waiting we discovered some of the towels were badly frayed as was one of the bathrobes. Everything was sorted out and we were given free use of the Spa facilities for one of our days although to be honest it always annoys me when I am charged to use the pool and sauna in a hotel when I am staying there, in this case €50 each per 90 minute session, an experience I have had before in Italian hotels. All this was not my biggest complaint however. That was reserved for the dining room where we had breakfast each morning and dinner one evening. I was aware that there were complaints about how slow the service was so was expecting that but often it was virtually none existent and not all the staff were that helpful or friendly. I know other guests I spoke to were more than happy so perhaps we were just unfortunate on this occasion, it happens. The staff on reception and the concierge were very good and indeed put in every effort to address our concerns. So not all bad

Nowhere is perfect, but this is pretty darn close! We were able to walk and get to our tours very easily . The staff is very gracious and we ate in their fine dining restaurant twice. Beds As we were very comfortable in room was very clean. The front desk, especially stood out as making you very happy really love this hotel.

We booked just one night here with several friends. We arrived early evening and left early morning so we didn't experience much of the hotel. Our room was clean and well appointed. The breakfast buffet was good, but not as extensive as some other hotels we stayed at later on our trip. The staff was very friendly. Note: There is nothing in easy walking distance from the hotel.

Damiano and Laura at the bar made our hotel stay at Palazzo Doglio such a fun experience. Every time we passed by we were tempted to just sit and chat with them. Their energy and service were so exceptional every single time. Damiano had such spunk and attention to detail creating a warm yet energetic atmosphere with amazing cocktails. My husband said it was the best espresso martini he’s ever had. Plus Damiano always gave me options of wine to taste to help my indecisiveness. Laura was also a great addition to the team although her English wasn’t perfect she always tried to make conversation and asked how to say phrases in English to better communicate with us. They truly made us feel right at home during our honeymoon. Would definitely recommend this hotel in Cagliari!

I stayed 3 nights here as a solo female. I do not travel alone often so decided to pay extra to stay in 5 star luxury and I’m so glad I did. From the welcome on arrival to the wonderful breakfast, everything was 5 star. It is walking distance to the centre of town or the marina. Front desk is open 24/7. I loved my room and little balcony. Slippers and robe were provided. All in all a wonderful stay and I hope to one day return, I will definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit Sardinia.
