Hotel Gran Melia Palacio de Isora

Hotel sam o sobe je nadherny. Zvenku, uvnitr, atrium, zahrady, bazeny, ta nejvic top bufetova restaurace, i vetsina cisniku a lide z recepce jsou mili, krasne to vsude voni ... Hlavni bufet restaurace - uzasna!!! Jen ty cekacky u vchodu dosti ponizujici. Ale resi to moznost objednani terasy na cas, coz je skvele a vyuzivali jsme. Sushi restaurace = tragedie! Cekali jsme 1/2hodiny nez nam dali vodu, dalsich 15min na kartu, ostatni hosty dosle po nas pritom obsluhovali. Personal neprijemny, az arogantni. Jidlo chabe, se sushi x japonskymi delikatesami nema co cinit. Obdobne strasne i Osa bar na veceri.

We had a wonderful few days at Hotel Palacio de Isora. The hotel is beautiful, the facilities are amazing, and the surroundings make it so easy to switch off and simply enjoy your time. Everything is designed to help you relax and have a truly enjoyable stay. But if there is one person I would especially like to mention, it is Beatriz Vega from the restaurant. She was lovely from the very first moment, always attentive, friendly and incredibly kind. Her way of looking after guests and paying attention to every little detail made our meals even more enjoyable. I would also like to congratulate the whole hotel team for the great work they do. When excellent facilities are combined with people who genuinely make you feel welcome, it makes the whole experience so much more special. We leave with wonderful memories and, without a doubt, we look forward to coming back.

We had been looking forward to our stay at Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora and specifically chose RedLevel because it is presented as an exclusive, peaceful and premium experience. Unfortunately, our actual experience was very different. We found the RedLevel area to be extremely busy and not nearly as peaceful or exclusive as we had reasonably expected based on its presentation and the additional premium charged. The discrepancy between the advertised RedLevel experience and the reality we encountered was significant enough that we decided to leave the hotel shortly after our arrival. As a result, we did not use the remaining booked nights or services. What has been particularly disappointing is the handling of our complaint afterwards. We submitted our refund request on 27 September and followed up several times. On 2 October, we were informed that the case had been forwarded to the hotel management. However, we are still waiting for a concrete decision. We regularly choose premium hotels and already have another Meliá stay booked for next year, which makes this experience even more disappointing. We still hope for a fair and customer-oriented resolution and will of course update this review if Meliá resolves the matter appropriately.

We had a really lovely stay at Palacio de Isora. The hotel has a fantastic atmosphere, great facilities, and plenty of beautiful places to relax and switch off. I would especially like to mention Beatriz Vega from the restaurant, who really made a difference during our stay. She was always friendly, attentive and welcoming. It’s a pleasure to come across people who genuinely enjoy their work and make you feel so well looked after without it ever feeling forced. We’re leaving with wonderful memories of our stay and, above all, with the feeling that we’d love to come back.

Stayed here for a week with my Mum, we wanted a relaxed/sunlounger type holiday and that's exactly what we got. The hotel is lovely and clean, with brilliant staff - very welcoming and friendly. Our room (deluxe twin) was spacious with double wardrobes, double sink and bath with separate shower - shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand-wash etc all provided, and lovely. The balcony was fine with a view over the hills, although we spent very little time there. It's worth noting that the app is fine, for seeing what is going on, but you do need to speak to the help desk (open for a couple of hours from 10.30am) to book into any of the restaurants. You need to get in there quick though, they book up quickly - wish we knew this before arriving. The activities are great, we took part in the everyday exercise classes in the pool - aquafit, pool biking, aquadance, paddle boarding and the instructors are good fun. There are adult classes on 3 times a day, in and out of the pool. The food in the Pangea (buffet) is great, lots of choice with cooked to order meat and fish and themed nights. Breakfast has cooked to order eggs. We ate here 3 times in the evening and weren't disappointed. We also ate in Niam, Asian restaurant, that was lovely and the Italian Olio, which was fab! The Italian looks out over the terrace and is a lovely area to watch the sunset and listen to either a DJ or sax player. There are other restaurants (additional cost) but we didn't try them. Generally the hotel is more of a family friendly place, which would suit a lot of people with the various kids activities going on. We opted to use the adult only pool areas, for the peace and quiet. The evening's entertainment in the atrium is quite good with various acts and styles. We loved the spa, the hydrotherapy areas are very relaxed and lots of choice - you need to pay extra if not getting a treatment. We went for massages and were not disappointed, we booked in for another day as it was so good. There isn't much around the hotel, which was fine for us, but if you're looking for something else to dothen the location is not ideal. However locals towns are nearby. The airport was a quick 20 minute journey, mostly on motorway. Personally, we wouldn't go back, however have booked the same hotel chain that is adults only as the service and value are well worth it.
