Hotel sam o sobe je nadherny. Zvenku, uvnitr, atrium, zahrady, bazeny, ta nejvic top bufetova restaurace, i vetsina cisniku a lide z recepce jsou mili, krasne to vsude voni ... ALE? Na 5* spousta nedotazeni. I kdyz ma clovek plnou penzi a dokoupi si napoje na den “bez omezeni” za nemale penize, ceka trapne jak pitomec, nez si ho nekdo na baru vsimne a pak jeste musi podepisovat ucty.., to neni normalni. Malem jsme kolikrat v tom horku umreli zizni a to si sli jen pro vody! Nealko, nebo aspon vody, by mely byt volne kdykoliv pristupne a ne na objednavani! Uklid pokoju - u nas tragedie. 5dni jsme cekali na vylesteni zrcadel od neciho cela, ze srandy do nej kremem udelali i oci a nos. Vymena rucniku az po 3dnech, kdy jsme si o to vylozene rekli, pak prevlekla i postele, jinak by nic nebylo. Hlavni bufet restaurace - uzasna!!! Jen ty cekacky u vchodu dosti ponizujici. Ale resi to moznost objednani terasy na cas, coz je skvele a vyuzivali jsme. Sushi restaurace = tragedie! Cekali jsme 1/2hodiny nez nam dali vodu, dalsich 15min na kartu, ostatni hosty dosle po nas pritom obsluhovali. Personal neprijemny, az arogantni. Jidlo chabe, se sushi x japonskymi delikatesami nema co cinit. Obdobne strasne i Osa bar na veceri. Myslim, ze je stale co u zamestnancu v takovem hotelu napravovat x je vice hlidat. Aby meli hoste opravdu pocit, ze si za sve penize patricny nadstandart uziji a nebudou mit pocit, ze jsou prehlizeni ci na obtiz. Kazdopadne - pres vse vyse napsane to byl skvely zazitek a verim, ze se nekdy opet vratime. Urcite doporucuji, ze zkusenosti z jinych hotelu na Tenerife byl tento opravdu TOP.

Just back and this is the first time I have ever reviewed a hotel.. we were left really disappointed. We booked £750 a Night for a 5-Star Adults-Only Experience – The Reality Is Very Different We were expecting a premium, five-star adults-only experience. At £750 per night, I don’t think that’s an unreasonable expectation. Unfortunately, for the second night of our six-night stay, we’ve been left with nowhere suitable to eat. What the hotel doesn’t make clear when you book is that the adults-only restaurants simply don’t have sufficient capacity to accommodate the number of Red Level adults-only guests. As a result, you’re left trying to secure a reservation or being directed towards the buffet restaurants, which has long ques and are full of families with young children and look warm food. Hardly a premium 5star adults only dining experience ! I have absolutely nothing against families enjoying their holidays, but that’s precisely why we specifically booked and paid a premium for an adults-only experience. So, for the second night of our holiday, dinner has consisted of crisps and nuts from the bar. Not quite what you expect when paying £750 a night for supposedly five-star luxury. Be warned: Red Level Adults Only does not guarantee adults-only dining. The hotel appears happy to sell the premium experience without having the restaurant capacity to deliver it.(see other reviews) This isn’t about being unreasonable or looking for something to complain about. It’s simply the reality of our experience, and something I wish we’d known before booking. At £750 a night, customers should get the experience they’re paying for. Not an adults only experience until 6pm by the pool then fend for yourself for dinner ! Unfortunately, we’re not ever going back !

Our 5th return in recent years and 2nd this year for what should have been a relaxing holiday BUT the noise and disruption has been dreadful. Rewarded for loyalty with a room with no sun facing the hotel bottle bank, delivery trucks and construction site across the road. Woken early to a disappointing and regretful experience and fed up waiting 4 days to be allocated a suitable alternative room. Avoid room 3065 and similar at your peril 🤕

If you are reading this but haven’t yet booked, then my advice is please find somewhere else. If you have already booked it, then hope for the best but expect the worst. We stayed at the Meliá in September. I truly do not understand the 4 and 5 star reviews that some guests have rated this hotel. They must have very different expectations of a resort hotel or rose coloured spectacles. It is the worst experience I have ever had in a resort hotel and yet it was probably the most expensive. Hence we had high expectations. Sadly I ignored the negative reviews I read before booking. Please do not make the same mistake. Everything that guests have said in relation to booking restaurants and the failure of the booking process via an app is true. Not all the restaurants are open every night, so everyone is attempting to book the limited number of restaurants that are open and either the app doesn’t work or there is no availability. Failure to book a restaurant means queuing for the buffet with a bizarre system of having to queue twice, once to give the room number and then you have to join another queue to be allocated a seat. This queue is even worse at breakfast time. There was only one bar open in the evening which was table service only, so obtaining a drink became a game of chance, waiting to be served. Whilst there was entertainment in the hotel in the evening, it was of very average quality. I would describe the evening atmosphere in the hotel as dull. It is not an easy process obtaining food and drink during the day. Very strangely, the buffet restaurant was closed at lunchtime, leading to massive queues at the two restaurants that were open. There is a pool service of sorts, where there is a bell to press to request a waiter, but unfortunately there is generally no response. Hence, there can be quite a walk to the one an only bar that is open. Yes, there are other bars but in the 10 days we were there they were never open. There are some positives about the hotel but the negatives far outweigh them. Part of enjoying a holiday is enjoying food, drink, entertainment and a happy and relaxing atmosphere. This hotel is definitely lacking in these aspects. Staying at the Meliá was in stark contrast to our many other experiences of all inclusive hotels in many other destinations in Europe and the Caribbean. The hotel is quite isolated and therefore a taxi is necessary if you want to leave the stressful restrictions in this hotel and the very expensive food and drink that is extra to the package you have paid for. The replies that the hotel management give in response to negative reviews are very patronising. They claim to aim for good customer service, but if they did they would review the management of the hotel and change the systems they have in place, to be more customer friendly. Instead many obstacles are put in the way of holiday makers relaxing and enjoying themselves. I get the feeling they do not really care and only want to cater for those paying premium prices, which they call red level. Unfortunately this hotel is not a good representative of the Meliá brand and I will never book a Meliá hotel again. Many other guests we spoke to felt exactly as we did. Some had stayed at the hotel when it was managed by TUI and returned having previously had a fantastic time, but are extremely disappointed with their experience under Melia management. I have contacted the CEO of the Meliá group with my concerns as to how this hotel is managed.

We came to this hotel in half term and expected it to be busy, however, my advise would be if you want to stay in a hotel where you can relax and not have to memorise lots of rules I would not book this hotel. They have a tier system and if you are not a 'red' member, you can't book specific restaurants, sit in certain area etc, which I find unpleasant and money grabbing. In addition, they have large 4 poster beds by the pool, you have to book these, again at a high cost, this is not explained anywhere so on your first day if you sit on them you get rudely asked to move, even though no one has explained that particular ridiculous, money making rule. There are button to press near the sunbeds to request drinks, not once during our stay was this successful, not being a red member, you are a way from the bar so you have to go up and down the stairs, which is not great for those with disabilities. They clearly did not have enough staff. The food in the restaurants you are allowed to eat at is nice, but again there is not enough staff, for the main buffet restaurant you had to queue for ages to sign in with your room number, then queue again to be seated, which took ages and the servers would just pick whoever was closest, meaning those who had waited for longest were forgotten and left for a long time. Towards the end of the week this improved slightly, as I think they must have had a lot of complaints. The restaurants we were able to book, we couldn't as they were full even on day 1, we managed to squeeze in 2 and gave up after that. They also trick you by assigning you a concierge, offering a free gift (which they forgot to give me) but all this is a sails pitch for you to sign up to pay a monthly fee to get priority at the hotels...obviously from my experience that is the last thing you want do. We won't be booking a hotel from Melia hotels ever again. I have stayed in lots of places, never have I had an experience like this and I hope to never have one like this again, especially as this classed as a 5 star luxury hotel.
