Sol Arona Tenerife

Hotel room was nice and spacious, mattress and beds not the comfiest there was no option for other pillows just the one. Despite being renovated our door handle fell of on our bedroom, there was some patchy mould by the shower, the hairdryer was broken. It is a nice clean room the cleaners were always on it and quick and efficient. The food was so so hit and miss okay you’ll never go hungry however it is always always cold breakfast, dinner especially we found the best meals to be was lunch that was the most warm. I just don’t think food is rotated efficiently enough and when I watch them rotate the food and when I took the rotated food it must’ve been left on the side under aircon or something as that was stone cold and old too. The snack bar was shut for maintenance over two days across our stay leaving uncovered food out and not heated, lots of flies so didn’t touch it. It was all stone cold and not heated which is such a shame as one day we didn’t get breakfast as we done an excursion to Mount Teide and was tired, there wasn’t any food out out until midday we ended up going out for breakfast to be honest the €4 breakfast was lovely and only a minute walk away on the beach front you could tell the quality the eggs were fresher and real bacon, the bacon was such cheap quality and was awful I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt if they invested into some better quality of breakfast as for me it was the biggest downfall I’ve never really moaned about all inclusive food before. There was always always sun beds at whatever time of day, you can find empty ones. I’d recommend getting out of the hotel and doing some trips such as Teide by night or a boat trip, we done monkey park too. Overall was okay reception were really kind and helpful, lots of police around the area including inside the hotel and a poor women got pushed to ground and robbed right outside the hotel on the bus stop with her necklace and bag stolen, such a same. I don’t think I’ll come back to the hotel or area, only stayed for the easy location of los cris but won’t stay again, it’s okay on the beach front but swarming and ended up quite dirty. Lots of lovely restaurants none the less but I wouldn’t say it’s anything special and couldn’t understand why people come back year after year. Tenerife is highly over populated by no fault of their own if we came back it would be sight seeing in the north, weather was so humid hit and miss with the regular occurrences of Calima I wouldn’t recommend coming if you have athsma ect as air quality is poor Drinks were okay but not amazing, to be honest if you stay here for location I would suggest self catering. The food is okay but the worst I’ve had and only night I enjoyed was the sushi, probably because Sushi is cold. Pasta wasn’t even consumable as it was dried up under the heat lamp. All be it quite a rough area lots of police lots of people selling and pushing in restaurants ext the worse I’ve ever had. Overall Pool was clean, hotel room clean, nice having easy access to the safe but probably wouldn’t come back. Pictures of the market too, that was quite naff also don’t want to sound negative as we did have a great stay but what made the trip was the trips outside of the hotel

Room was good on arrival however this wasn’t consistently maintained by housekeepers. Towels were changed daily and some days this was all that was done. Breakfast was standard but lacked any variety and not always hot. The pool area is overcrowded with sun loungers so you’re right next to the next person, the sun terrace above the restaurant is a better option as they don’t pack in so many loungers. Overall not a terrible stay but not great either.

We have been going to this friendly hotel for a long time and have just had a really lovely holiday. The Sol Arona in Los Cristianos, Tenerife has had a complete refurb and is very modern and bright. Our room was on the top floor and could not have been better. Very quiet and private and a wonderful view. Reception staff were so welcoming. The food has been excellent and the staff so friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We were All Inclusive. The housekeeping lady kept our room spotless and we always had clean towels. The hotel is very handy for the beach, a supermarket and plenty of places to eat and drink. Good walks (handy after eating the lovely food!) Gorgeous scenery. We will be back soon.

Lovely hotel. Found it to be a really relaxed atmosphere. Really clean everywhere. Fab pool area. The renovated rooms are amazing too. Lovely choice at breakfast. Was busy but never felt over crowded. Location is good, you can't avoid slopes, slight hills as that's los cristianos for you. But it's central. Close to the front, bars 5 min walk away and supermarket 2 min walk away. Would definitely stay again

We have just spent a week here at sol arona the hotel and room was spotless we had a lounge room and it was spacious for the two of us.pool area is nice and there is a terrace above with loungers if you want a bit of peace (there was always beds available in the afternoon by the pool). All the staff were friendly and helpful.hotel is in a good location with plenty of bars and restaurants the harbour is a ten minute walk.Air conditioning is a god send as the weather was really warm and even with it off the rooms are cool. Would highly recommend and we will be back for sure thanks sol arona we had a great time
