lovely aesthetically pleasing hotel. food at dinner time was particularly boring and would of preferred some variation . the food in the al a carte restaurants (particularly the smoke house) was lovely . staff were lovely in the smoke house not so friendly in the other. bar staff at the pool bar seemed unhappy to be there, although the bar staff at the bar in the lobby were great . sahit in the lobby bar was wonderful his drinks were fabulous and so is his attitude he deserves extra credit. the price of a bottle of water (5 euros) is horrific for an all inclusive hotel . the night time entertainment could be spiced up a little with maybe a quiz or kareoke, the dj by the larger pool was good but wish everyone was a little bit more lively rather than sat reading their kindles although this is no fault of the hotels. overall a nice place to stay, just need to go out for dinner sometimes.

Looks & grounds: ★★★★★ Beautiful garden, pool, nice rooms with large balconies — clean throughout the property. Clearly built for Instagram. Room: ★★☆☆☆ Small and impractical, especially the bathroom — zero privacy. Minibar is just two small water bottles per person. Restaurants: ★☆☆☆☆ App ordering at the main restaurant is a great idea with fast service. That’s where the positives end. Themed restaurants offer disappointing food quality, and the main restaurant is very inconsistent. Result: stomach issues 3 times in 7 days. Complaints went nowhere. The Campiello restaurant manager was arrogant, dismissed all criticism, and was condescending toward guests. Bars: ★★☆☆☆ Poor cocktails (except the lobby bar). Gaps in the drinks list — items “suddenly” appeared once complained about, but staff still charged some as paid despite them being complimentary. Bottled water comes with an extra charge. Car rental: ★★★★★ By far the best part of the hotel. Excellent service, good car availability, everything clearly explained, lots of local recommendations, all delivered with a smile and genuine engagement.

I’m currently staying at Cooks Club Corfu, so this is based on my experience so far. There are some positives. The hotel is clean, the room is pleasant with a comfortable bed, plenty of plug sockets and a nice balcony, and I’ve found it easy to get a sun lounger even later in the morning. The cocktails I’ve had have generally been good, although some classic cocktails come with a small additional charge and there isn’t a huge selection of traditional holiday cocktails. Unfortunately, the food has been the biggest disappointment. Lunch is fairly basic and tends towards burgers, chips and heavier food, while dinner has been very inconsistent. I’ve had a fish soup that was far too salty to eat and a “pomegranate salad” that contained no pomegranate. The fresher and lighter options are also very limited. The dining system makes this particularly frustrating. You order individual dishes rather than choosing from a buffet, meaning you have to commit to a full portion without being able to see the food first. Food can be ordered from the pool, but you have to collect it yourself rather than having it brought to your lounger. The pool is also extremely warm and can get quite crowded, and drinks similarly have to be collected from the bar rather than being brought to you. The immediate surroundings aren’t particularly attractive and it feels quite removed from anything beyond the hotel itself. That said, it’s very convenient for the airport, which is a definite positive. There’s also a small shop within the hotel, which is useful. I’d say this is a hotel where you’re primarily coming to use the resort rather than explore the immediate area on foot; if you want to go elsewhere, you’ll probably need a taxi. Overall, I feel quite disappointed by the five-star positioning of this hotel. For me, the experience feels much closer to a three-star all-inclusive with a nicer room and pool area. The service, food and general experience simply don’t feel five-star. The attempt to make the dining experience feel more sophisticated by having dishes ordered individually has actually made the experience more frustrating, rather than better.
