Corfu Imperial - A Grecotel Resort to Live at Kommeno Peninsula

Be careful- although the photos look nice and the resort is actually nice - rooms are old. Suggest anyone staying here pick a standard room as villa etc are not worth the price. More importantly the service doesn’t match the price they are charging. Look at iKOS if wanting to pay these types of prices. Never heard so many people complaining…. Anyway live and learn.

There are beautiful hotels, and then there are places that stay in your heart long after you've left. Grecotel Imperial Corfu is one of those rare places. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such genuine warmth that we immediately felt at home. The hotel itself is stunning, with breathtaking views, beautiful grounds, wonderful restaurants and an atmosphere that is both luxurious and relaxing. But what truly makes this hotel exceptional is its people. A heartfelt thank you to AnneMaria at the front desk. From our very first welcome to our final goodbye, she made us feel like more than just guests. Her kindness, professionalism and incredible attention to detail never went unnoticed. She has such a natural gift for hospitality and made every interaction feel personal and sincere. Thank you also to Leta from reception, who was always so welcoming, friendly and eager to help. No request was ever too much trouble, and she always made us feel genuinely cared for. It's people like Leta who make guests want to return again and again. A very special thank you goes to Cresa, the Restaurant Manager, who ensured every dining experience was nothing short of perfect. She runs her team with such warmth and professionalism and somehow manages to make every guest feel special. Her attention to detail and genuine passion for looking after people made every meal something to look forward to. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Stavroula, the Lunch Restaurant Manager at the Italian Trattoria. Every lunchtime she made us feel incredibly welcome and always took the time to pay special attention to us. Her warmth, attentiveness and personal touch never went unnoticed and made each visit to the Trattoria something we genuinely looked forward to. She is a wonderful ambassador for the hotel and a true example of exceptional hospitality. A truly heartfelt thank you goes to Allessio, the Pool Manager and evening host. He was the most gracious host we could have hoped to meet. His warmth, professionalism and genuine enthusiasm made every day by the pool and every evening at the hotel feel special. He has an incredible ability to make every guest feel welcome, valued and at home, and his attention to detail never went unnoticed. It is people like Allessio who create memories that last long after the holiday has ended. A huge thank you as well to Rajun, who looked after us so wonderfully at the pool each day. He always had our umbrella and sunbeds perfectly set up before we even needed to ask. It may seem like a small gesture, but it was those thoughtful touches, his friendly smile and his willingness to help that made our days by the pool even more relaxing. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We would also like to extend a very special thank you to Effy, the Hotel Room Manager. Any time we needed assistance, it was handled promptly, professionally and with genuine care. Nothing was ever a problem, and every request was dealt with quickly and effectively, giving us complete peace of mind throughout our stay. It is this level of commitment to guest satisfaction that truly distinguishes a great hotel from an exceptional one. What impressed us most was the consistency of the service. Every member of staff we encountered greeted us with genuine smiles, remembered us, and always went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Our stay at Corfu Imperial was truly beautiful. The setting is stunning and view is breath-taking. We were kindly upgraded to the Waterfront Junior Suite where you can walk straight into the sea from your room and you get access to a more secluded beach, so would highly recommend paying a bit more for that room. The breakfast buffet has everything you could wish for and all the food is great quality and fresh. We ate in a few of the restaurants on site and all the food was delicious, if a bit on the expensive side. We didn't have any concern with any noise from the planes, the rooms are clean, spacious and air-conditioned. But the best thing about this hotel is the staff. Every staff member is so welcoming, smiley and will go out of their way to help you. We used the reception desk a lot for help with booking taxis, restaurant recommendations and planning excursions etc and they were always so helpful, prompt (there is always multiple staff on the reception and concierge desk), and friendly. 10/10 would recommend!

Getting to the hotel is a bit of challenge, given its location a narrow road (racetrack) has to be taken. But this isolation is also why it is such great location, the peninsula on which the hotel is situated offers an 300 degree free water view, making it quite photogenic. The hotel is not the newest nor very large, but it offers a very luxerous experience. The personal is friendly, knowledgeable and are eager to help and the food in the buffel and the various restaurants is of high quality. The pool area has a classic layout and is great place to spend time together. The downside of all this? The hotel is high demand and you’ll pay the price.
