Corfu Pelagos

Za prvé, je to úžasný hotel. Zde je důvod, proč: > Servis Služba, kterou zde nabízí každý, je prostě skvělá. Cítil jsem se jako každý, včetně šéfa, aby vás co nejpohodlněji. Atmosféra je uvolněná a přátelská, takže se budete cítit vítáni po celou cestu. > Jídlo Chutný bufet je dodáván se spoustou variací. Snídaně i večeře jsou velmi uspokojivé. Podle chuti a kvality jídla můžete říci, že kuchyně pracuje s vášní, aby potěšila váš žaludek. Tak jsem vždycky chtěla jíst víc, než jsem mohla. > Čištění Všechno v celém hotelu bylo mimořádně čisté. Náš pokoj, jídelní kout, koupelny a bazén byly uklizené a čisté, jak byste chtěli ve svém domě. Chceme-li se vrátit na Korfu, určitě opět zůstáváme na ostrově Korfu Pelagos. Doporučuji vyzkoušet toto místo.

We booked the Corfu Pelagos Hotel for a group of older guests, all in their 70s. Unfortunately, we discovered almost immediately that the hotel was completely unsuitable for them because of the extremely difficult and, in our view, unsafe access around the property. What is particularly disappointing is that the difficulty of accessing the accommodation is not made sufficiently clear in the hotel's advertising or booking information. This is not simply a hotel that has a few steps to negotiate. There is a steep bank leading up to the complex, followed by further steep inclines, uneven ground and multiple flights of stairs between the different apartment buildings and the other facilities. Many of these stairways have no handrails and inadequate lighting, and some of the surfaces can become particularly difficult to negotiate when wet. For elderly guests carrying luggage, this is a serious issue. By the time our group had managed to get themselves and their luggage to their rooms, they were exhausted and extremely distressed. What was supposed to be a relaxing holiday had immediately become a stressful and worrying experience. After just one night, they decided that they could not safely remain at the property for the remaining six nights. They were perfectly willing to pay for the one night they had actually stayed, but they contacted both the hotel and Booking.com to explain the situation and asked whether the unused six nights could be cancelled without charge or refunded. Unfortunately, the hotel manager was completely unwilling to accommodate this request. The only solution offered was to move one of the two rooms to a lower level. This did not solve the problem. The other members of the group could not simply be left in the higher-level accommodation, and even the supposedly lower-level room still required guests to negotiate steep banks and several flights of stairs. It therefore did not make the accommodation suitable or safe for the group. As a result, they had no practical option other than to leave after one night and pay for alternative accommodation elsewhere, losing a considerable amount of money in the process. We appreciate that hotels have terms and cancellation policies, but there should also be some degree of common sense and understanding when elderly guests arrive, discover that the property is not realistically accessible to them, and leave because they genuinely feel it is unsafe. Our advice would be very clear: do not book this hotel unless you are young, fit and completely comfortable negotiating steep banks, uneven ground and multiple flights of stairs without relying on handrails or good lighting. The biggest disappointment was not simply the physical layout of the hotel, but the lack of understanding and flexibility shown by management when the problem became apparent. Had the accessibility difficulties been clearly explained before booking, the group would never have chosen this property in the first place. For us, this was a very disappointing experience, and one that could have been avoided with much clearer information about the accessibility of the complex and a more helpful approach from management.

As some reviews mentioned , the lovely photos of the modern apartments was not where we stayed. It seems some rooms may be renovated but we got 2 apts. where they were in desperate need of repairs/maintenance etc. Old & dated with pipes sticking out of floor/broken lights & hanging off wall/mould in bathroom/old worn out bath/awful old fridge left there & we used the newer (but still broken )fridge. After 4 days, had to ask for towels (meant to be changed after 2 days) and bedding to be changed. TV was tiny & hardly worked. The only positive was it was spacious & the sea views sunset/rise from the balcony were amazing. For info-the "gym" is a very small room with equipment-although you will not need this if you decide to go out. The hotel is situated on a very steep hill off the high street, so it is near to the shops & beach once you've tackled the horrendous hill. The hill twists and turns and is narrow where cars can't pass each other & if you're tackling the hill you also have to watch out for cars coming & get out of the way, needed a torch in parts at night. This isn't just a problem for people with walking difficulties as it's very steep & not a slope, it's difficult for most people, we've seen a young couple struggling! When you finally get up there, the hotel has another very steep approach. We ended up paying 10 E for a taxi to take us up there each time it was so bad. Most of the websites doesn't mention a hill let alone how steep it is, there should have been warnings.

Family run Greek hotel. We had a massive room, basic but everything you need. Lovely immaculate bathroom. Owners and staff were extremely welcoming and lovely. Food was great. Such a lovely chilled relaxing holiday. Would definately recommend. We had the most amazing time made extra special by the wonderful staff. Thankyou so much to everyone 🥰

The hotel it’s a very beautiful place to stay. The food it’s very good, the stuff is friendly and the rooms are very clean, because every day they clean them. The only things that stopped me from giving them 5 stars was the fact that the WiFi was not working properly and the parking area was pretty small, with a very bad access to it. It’s one side with no visibility at all. Like you can’t see if someone is coming out. But the view it was worth. We had a room at the second floor, with sea view. It was absolutely stunning. Never had a room with such a beautiful view. If you can’t see the sea, then this hotel loses a lot of charm for you. You have to buy a room with sea view if you want to enjoy the experience at the fullest.
