Ekati Mare Boutique Resort

Where to begin.... My daughter paid for our holiday as an early 50th birthday surprise. We arrived when it was dark, the the hotel was lit up, along with the pool area and it was stunning. We received the warmest welcome from the reception staff, despite the late hour. We haven't been able to fault a thing during our stay. The staff are super friendly ,and can't do enough for you. The food is fantastic, they did their best to cater for my daughter who us gluten free also. Huge portions from the lunchtime menu, and very reasonably priced too. We were half board, the breakfast and evening buffets were awesome, everything you could think of for breakfast and the dishes available in the evening changed daily. If I was going to say one thing I'd like to see, it would be granola, but that's just a personal preference and definitely not a complaint. Thank you all for an incredible holiday ❤️ Also happy hour is a steal!! The staff work so hard, even in the incredible heat of 39c this week! They are always smiling and do their best to make sure the guests are doing the same. Immaculately presented also, in cool co-ords. They work tirelessly to make sure the hotel facilities are beautifully clean and well maintained. Our housekeeper was fab too 😀 The entertainment girls Kim and Sarah have oodles of energy but do an incredible job of creating a fun environment if you want to partake! From water aerobics and water polo, to music quizzes etc ... there was also live music a couple of nights. Our room didn't provide a view but it was clean, the bed was huge, really comfy also. Reliable Air conditioning also made for a very comfy stay.

Staff was accommodating entertainment by Kim and Sara was good lots of energy and made time for everyone food wasn’t too great f your a fussy eater

Well.. on arrival we were hit with the 70 euro tax which we didn’t know anything about. The room was like a torture chamber no air con working initially. This was resolved and we were allowed to leave on the whole time with an extra door key thank goodness. Thought would have a nice shower…Ice cold. Have had one warm shower in 4 days the rest ice cold and the kids only washing as seems cruel to put them in the cold water. The food, flies all over it and no lids to deter and the standard of food isn’t marvellous . Not sure what they are calling bacon here 🤣😳. The one small pool is far too deep for kids and no where near enough sunbeds with people reserving with towels from the crack of Dawn. Staff are lovely but not controlling that at all. Drinks prices seem to vary on each round also strangely . Ranging from 14.4 for a beer a wine and a fizz to then 25 for a wine and a beer. The stench of sewage isn’t marvellous and kavos is a bit of a dump, kids sucking gas out of balloons 🎈 all night and we’ve been offered a variety of drugs whilst my young kids are with us, so that wasn’t marvellous. The private beach anyone can wander onto so again a lack of sunbeds and it’s kind of like a dirt track that’s not really been completed . We paid 2500 for here and last year paid similar for the canaries riu hotel all inclusive which was far superior. Young woman singing was very good and the staff are lovely doing their best . If they sorted the pool beds and food could have a not bad place but we would not return or recommend especially with kids . Also anything nice is an hour and half away by bus …in the heat not marvellous

Hotel is clean and nice and located at the start of the strip. Close enough to go and go enjoy yourself and far enough to to have a calm get away. The swim up room is a MUST!!! Cannot recommend enough. The food was good enough, something for everybody. The reps (Kim and Sarah) were exceptional and really worked hard to make the stay fun and enjoyable.

We've really had the best time here at Ekati Mare. The entertainment team of Kim and Sarah deserve a special mention. Their energy and fun have really made a great holiday special. As for the resort staff they have all given so much and we have enjoyed our interactions with them all. They work so hard and deserve recognition for that! The resort has a really laid back atmosphere. Breakfast is amazing and their evening food always has a great selection that make it really hard to choose. A nice problem to have! The beach is quite delightful! It has its own bar and the resort have planted lots of wild flowers that attract the butterflies. Don't expect pristine - it's not, but it is a beautiful spot to chill out. Not much more to say other than the rooms are all very lovely too.
