Ekati Mare Boutique Resort

THE GOOD BITS…The pool, bar and dining areas, are well looked after clean and tidy, all the staff are friendly, The rooms have a boutique style look, equipped with free safe box, air conditioning hairdryer,Iron and board, and plenty shampoo/conditioner/shower gel. Had the best night sleep away from home, mattress and pillows were great. Rooms and towels changed daily.. NOT SO GOOD…. The food was mediocre, often lukewarm, not labelled, so have to ask.. If you come for later, theirs often less of a choice, If you see cake, grab it while you can, as once it’s gone, there’s more. We found as the week went on it got worse. Often given Luke warm water for tea, and PG tips tea ran out, so if you like tea, take your own… The pools, were painfully cold for me, so could not use, so the swim up room was only used for the view. A smell of sewage would appear , which wasn’t pleasant… Once the season gets into full swing, I think there will be problems in the bar area, as ordering drinks/food was problematic with their ordering system. A BIG shout out to Dawn from reception, for sorting our room problems out as quick as possible, and also Crabbia, for doing her best to make us smile 😁( don’t think that’s how its spelt ) ..lol..

My husband and I very much enjoyed a week’s stay at Ekate Mare. We noticed straight away how clean, fresh and modern it was and were made welcome by very friendly and professional staff. Everyone was helpful and nothing was too much trouble.I’d like to make particular mention of Dawn, the British senior staff member, who made herself available to everyone, was sociable and helpful. Also we were impressed by the Restaurant Manager, who was very conscientious,listened and dealt with,the odd concern diners had. We slept over at Ayla,as the hotel advertised these rooms as adult only and quiet. This was the case. They were adequate, with a heater/aircon, fridge.safe,tv and king size bed. The balcony overlooked the gardens. Small point, we would have liked some drawers for small items, instead of open shelving. There were activities in the day and a selection of nightly entertainment by the pool. We enjoyed the short walk to the private beach which had a bar, toilets, 4 poster beds and sunbeds with parasols. Location-wise, it was 2 hrs by Shuttle Bus from the airport. The hotel was at the beginning of Kavos, which had small supermarkets, souvenir shops, bars,a couple of tavernas,bars and night clubs, clearly for the young. Opposite the hotel was a good place to book trips and hire vehicles.

We stayed here at the beginning of the season. Really nice surroundings and well presented hotel. A few teething problems with new management and staff in place, that would be expected, we progressively seen issues ironed out throughout the week. Always different food selections, and plenty of it for both breakfast and dinner. Room was nice, spacious and well equipped. Well located, away from the madness, but close enough too and busses stop right outside. If you hire a car (which I'd recommend), there's a place right across the road to do this and a carpark right across the road too to park. Staff were all really nice, like I said earlier there were just a few things that seemed to be picked up and sorted throughout our stay. Really good gym on site, although if you don't ask you'll probably never know it's there.

Perfect for a last minute booking and a quick weekend get away. All staff encountered were super friendly and efficient. Nice relaxing style, food tasty , varied and LaMar beach was icing on the cake. Would highly recommend 👌

Stayed here Monday 4th till Monday 11th may 26 , in room 103 lovley hotel , thus is start of the season so fairly quiet , room was basic and balcony was very shaded , would not recommend the room on location however it was clean and cleaned on a daily basis , cleaners were very nice . The staff at the hotel were very pleasant and welcoming especially the pool staff. The food was good plenty of choice definitely got better as rhe week went on Great for a relaxed chilled holiday , tui reps were first class and very helpful , you can book plenty of trips.o get out and about and visit the whole of corfu if required , would definitely come back , thanks for a lovley time
