Close to the sea and Sandy beach. Clean and Very quiet. Simple room equipment but it includes everything you need. There is a small green Garden where you can rest. Nice and helpfull owner. Fresh products for breakfast. A lot of Greek restaurants nearby.

My mother and I stayed in the hotel Lefteris in May for 1 week hoping to relax in nature and not expecting to much except for simple village accomodation. What we experienced was beyond our imagination and we are glad that we came back healthy. Everything in our room was wet and cold because of humidity(it was raining a lot during our stay) including beds and clothes and the owner didnt even mentioned that fact that we can use AC, in fact the pilot was taken away from our room so we were freezing cold. the kettle was rotten inside (what you can see on pics), there was water coming out from the sink non stop, you could not shower without getting wet all the bathroom, there was no hot water for 5 days straight, there were problems with flushing, closing doors from WC and many other problems…not to even mention TV from 90’s…for breakfast we eat per each:1 egg, 1 slice of cheese, 2 slices of ham, bread, coffe and orange juice - the price was 5 eu for one person. We agreed for that because the only open shop was 1,5 km away up hill in another village… In general, the price that we payed for our stay was absolutely insane compared to what we experienced. You can see that the hotel (you cannot even call it a hostel in my belief) had its pick time during 70’s and nothing has changed since. We send love and hugs to mummy because she is lovely lady but never again.

Firstly to the good thing: the hotel is very close to the beach (approximately 5 minutes walking distance). To the room: The hotel room is very simple and includes an air con which (in our case) didn’t work very well. We were positively surprised to find a stove in the kitchen and bought some pasta to cook and found out afterwards that the stove wasn’t working. It said in the hotel description that a refrigerator and a kettle is included. The refrigerator worked but the kettle was so dirty that we refused to use it even after many failed attempts to clean it. The bed is uncomfortable but ok for a few nights. The water in the shower sometimes turns cold and the toilet flush is catastrophic, as it didn’t work properly. The cleaning maid unfortunately left our balcony door open four times, which we were very upset about because we had some important things in our room. Fortunately nothing got stolen. WiFi doesn’t work. We had a small garden, which was nice and filled with olive trees and sitting areas. Now to the owner: Costa (probably the owner of the hotel) is someone who likes sarcasm a lot. Unfortunately we soon realized that he doesn’t really want to help us with anything and we always had the feeling that we were a burden to him. As the hotel description says that there is a lobby, we thought that we might be able to ask some questions on how best to get somewhere, what to do on Corfu and so on. Unfortunately there was no lobby and Costa was the only present person to ask anything. But Costa was only available for a few questions during breakfast time but even then he basically ignored people and gave them the feeling that they aren’t really welcome- which is horrible for a holiday. He doesn’t enjoy his job and he makes no secret of it. Seeing Marathias Beach is pretty much cut off from the rest of Corfu, a halfway motivated version of Costa would have been great (there are no busses directly from there, you have to walk almost 2km up to the village; you can’t rent scooters or cars and so on,..). So basically you have to rely on Costa to help you organize everything which isn’t that easy, as he is rarely present and clearly doesn’t really like his guests. Breakfast: simple but nice- bread, jam, butter, sliced tomato, cheese (one slice per person), hard boiled egg, orange juice and coffee/tea; no refills. We were served the exact same breakfast throughout our stay. On our third day a family received fried eggs, bacon, a proper cheese dish and so on, which made us feel even less appreciated. The hotel description said that it was breakfast a la carte- a lie. Throughout our stay we were not once given a menu or asked what we wanted for breakfast. But differences between guests seem to be made. All in all it was ok but we won’t come back to that hotel. After we realized that Costa doesn’t want to help us, we organized our holiday alone and that worked out very well in the end. The hotel room is very simple but ok for the price.
