By booking into the Mythos Panorama, you have to consider that basically everything is shared with the Mythos Palace. So, at face value you’re booking for the Panorama with 175 rooms, 5 restaurants (one at an additional charge, three a la carte visits available to book for stays over 7 nights, one being the main buffet), 4 infinity pools, one indoor pool and 8 bars. However, this is shared with an additional 275 rooms in the Palace and spread out across a vast 6-hectare hillside area. A core issue with the resort is bar and drinks service. By this, I’m not referring to the bar staff and waiters as they were working pretty much flat out. I’m referring to the hotel management's decision on staffing levels and their enforcement of what seems like a mandatory table service. At face value, you’d think table service for drinks is a luxury, and it definitely is IF the speed of service can keep up. Of the eight bars, only three are open later into the evening, with the entertainment being split between the rooftop and sky bar while we were there. If the majority of the entertainment takes place at the sky bar, it is obviously going to be the busiest area and requires adequate staffing. Yet each night, service was consistently slow (30-40 minutes between drinks but we witnessed a group of 4 waiting for 45 minutes), the frustration among the majority of guests was evident, and it was clearly causing friction among the overworked staff as well. We and multiple other guests were purchasing drinks from the supermarket behind the sky bar, and rather than the staff then notice you’ve purchased your own drinks and set out to make things right, we would just be ignored as we had bought our own and they prioritised the other orders still coming in. So, what’s the solution? If management believe the sky bar is adequately staffed for the space to work in that bar area, then they need another outdoor bar. They could have this outside of the sky bar or they could use the noodle bar (Located just before the entry to the Zoe buffet) but for beer, wine and long drinks only. They could even just keep the pool bar next to the Italian open into the evening. It would take some of the pressure off the main bar, and for those in favour of a short walk and queuing for a drink there, then it satisfies that need. Something has to change, it’s completely unacceptable for the amount of money everyone pays as we enter peak holiday season. I would advise if you’re booked into one of the restaurants, make the most of the drinks service in there before heading to either the reception, rooftop or sky bar area for drinks. You won’t be able to get cocktails in there, but you can get beer/wine/selected spirits at a much quicker service. Also worth mentioning the food in the restaurants was great. When we visited the Gialynas, we were sat outside and there were a large amount of wasps due to the time of year. This is beyond the control of the staff, but they were happy to move us inside rather than be swarmed. During the day, two of the pool bars (Infinity/Spa bar and Italian – Panorama) were single staffed and two were dual staffed (Serenity & Beach – Palace). There was also a single member of staff on the beach to serve soft drinks and beer, although another guest who had visited the year prior made us aware this was previously a kiosk which served a larger variety of drinks. The beach had plenty of sunbeds available, bring some crocs or similar beach shoes since its majority pebbles. There was also quite a bit of seaweed inside the water. Right next to the beach is a local boat rental and jet ski hire if you’re into that. A decent drinks selection is available but there are some premium options which are either chargeable or included if you have a white wristband (I think those are the guests in the swim-up villas). The daytime activities were pretty limited, they had yoga, aqua aerobics and tennis (although, watch out for the mountain of rubbish overflowing from the bins next to the tennis court). I didn’t notice anyone using bikes as advertised but I forgot to query about it. There is a gym which you can use and also a spa which is an upcharge (you will be approached during the day throughout the week for a sales pitch). Evening entertainment is great if you can get a seat outside to watch it, we had the Philharmonic Orchestra of Kinopiastes as a celebratory performance to start the summer, a violinist, a Singer & Piano duo, Traditional Greek band with dancers, guitar band and a DJ. Location is pretty remote, we did go for a short walk but honestly couldn’t manage a long walk with the heat while we were there. That being said, the Messonghi Travel Center is close by, and I’d recommend using them for any excursions. They also do a daily bus drop off for a morning/afternoon in Corfu town which is much cheaper than getting a taxi. Just a heads up, there is a climate tax which you have to pay on arrival, as the accommodation is classed as 5-star this works out at €4 per room, per night. We were aware of this prior, it can be paid through cash or card. We booked a “Garden view” room but to our surprise this was more of a sea view than expected. Golf buggies are available for transport across the site, we only used them for transporting the luggage to and from our room. Did hear some people complaining about requesting a pick-up and buggies not being available or having long wait times, so keep this in mind if you have mobility issues or breathing difficulties. The variety on the main buffet was good and changed through the week. I didn’t notice any temperature checks taking place of the food though and sometimes the food was lukewarm. It is a shame that there’s a lot of negatives because the surroundings are stunning and well kept. We loved the mosaic artwork around the site. The room itself was lovely with housekeeping in everyday to change sheets, replenish towels and provide bottled water. Beach towels are provided and available from an area between the reception and Italian pool area. Upon arrival to the room we had a stocked minibar (Soda water, Cola, Orangeade, Lemonade, Beer – 2 of each), bottle of fizz and a welcome dessert. Our rooms safety deposit box wasn’t properly engaging, we raised this with reception who advised us to go back to our room and wait for the maintenance team, but we couldn’t be bothered to wait to so managed without. Did notice that the sunbeds on the shared swim-up rooms were much nicer than the cheap blue ones which premium double rooms have. From what I’ve seen on other reviews, it’s a bit hit and miss with how well the rooms have been put together. I was sat outside on one evening and heard a girl trying to find the maintenance team as their TV had fallen off its wall mounting while she was in the shower, which could have been pretty dangerous if they were next to it. Our room was mostly okay, a couple of cracked floor tiles, the safe issue as already mentioned and the odd bit of rushed workmanship. I also wanted to highlight the excellent service we received from the staff in the Vivaldi Italian and Ouranos Rooftop restaurants. Especially Niki who was our waitress in the Vivaldi & Gialynas restaurant. She was really down to earth, friendly and did a great job. A couple of other staff members like Emmanuiel and a young lady (Who looks very similar to Zoe Hauge – Molly-Mae’s sister) were doing the best job they could at the sky bar. Finally, again I’m not sure on his name but the bartender with short dreadlocks at the Infinity/Spa bar made some really excellent cocktails. Although I’ve been quite critical in my review, we always upheld our manners and respect to the staff who were genuinely doing their best. I noticed some guests who were much more “demanding” and sometimes rude, which is never acceptable as a guest, regardless of how many stars the hotel has. I thought the staff were very tolerant when they were faced with this. We only faced a handful of staff who were less polite. Probably wouldn't go back unless improvements were made.

We enjoyed our stay but sadly there’s a lot which needs improving. This isn’t a 4/5 star hotel, you need an outstanding service for it to be such. The hotel is disjointed. If you struggle with mobility, this hotel isn’t for you although a buggy service is provided. The all inclusive isn’t a typical all inclusive. There’s lots of waiting for drink orders to be taken, drinks to arrive. The roof top bar and restaurant isn’t fit for purpose. Great for watching the sunset but the service is abysmal. Not enough staff. At Zoe’s Restaurant there seems to be a problem with table settings. There’s always something missing, either a piece of cutlery, tea cup. After more waiting around, you finally manage to get a full set. We asked for a bottle of water at breakfast only to be told we weren’t allowed one but we can help ourselves to a glass. We didn’t want tiddly glasses of water. Luckily for us an exception was made (server’s words) and we were allowed to have one. Gialynas restaurant was excellent. Food and service outstanding. Not impressed with Olea by the beach. Spent the day there, arrived by buggy but was told by the server we couldn’t get one back to the hotel as they were busy. When the server was informed we had just seen one drop off guests, he passed me to his colleague who phoned for one! Room is adequate. Curtain came off its track. Four times we reported it to reception and upon leaving, it still hadn’t been sorted. Shower head broke. It took two requests to get it replaced. Overall most staff are friendly and helpful. The turn down service isn’t necessary. Perhaps focus on what’s important to guests (excellent service) and consistently provide it before focusing on the finer details.
