Extremely underwhelmed – not up to standard for experienced Greece travelers As frequent visitors to multiple Greek islands (including Kefalonia, Rhodes, and Crete), this hotel fell completely below our expectations. While our children enjoyed the pool, as adults paying for a similar star rating, we were left highly disappointed and wish we had stayed elsewhere. Rooms & Layout: We booked a "Superior Room" split over two floors. While great for privacy in theory, having the double bed upstairs and the travel cot downstairs makes no sense with a one-year-old. Furthermore, the stair gate starts on the third step, completely defeating the purpose of stopping toddlers from climbing. Room quality across the resort seems highly inconsistent; some rooms look beautiful, while others are shocking. Ours had bird nests right outside the door, meaning we stepped directly into droppings every time we left. Staff & Facilities: The reception staff were irritable when asked general tourist questions; while their written words might pass as acceptable, their tone of voice was harsh at best. The reception area itself is incredibly bland—just magnolia walls, a few worn leather sofas, a small bar, and basic wooden tables. The arcade is tiny, though toddlers might enjoy the flashing lights. Kids' Facilities & Safety: The outdoor play area has zero shelter, making it unusable in the summer heat. The covered alternative is just a patch of AstroTurf with a few metal pedal bikes. The wave pool was a hit with our six-year-old, but the Aquapark has major logistics and safety flaws. Because adults aren't allowed down the same or adjacent slides at the same time, you are expected to let a six-year-old climb the steps and slide down completely out of sight. The only alternative is to walk them to the top, but you can’t get back down the stairs fast enough to meet them at the bottom. Dining: The food is adequate but highly inconsistent. As it's a buffet, some items were hot while others were served cold, with a distinct lack of effort to maintain heat or rotate dishes. The menu repeats almost every evening with very little variation. Disappointingly, they don't even serve gyros—a poolside snack bar staple we’ve enjoyed on every other Greek trip. Car Hire Warning: We arranged car hire through the hotel. The car arrived on time, but the price suddenly changed to include a car seat fee we weren't previously told about. We were then blindsided by a choice between an €800 cash damage deposit or an extra €10 per day for cover. Having to go back to the room for more money because of hidden fees was incredibly frustrating, though I did manage to argue the price down. Convenience: The local shop next to reception is convenient, though understandably pricier than town. Overall, we still have five days left and are making the best of it because the kids are happy with the pool, chips, and fruit. However, we highly recommend saving your money, staying elsewhere, and just buying a day pass for the splash park instead. Option 2: Short & Punchy (Great for a quick read) Underwhelmed and Disappointed – Look Elsewhere Having visited Kefalonia, Rhodes, and Crete, we know how wonderful Greek hospitality can be. Sadly, this hotel misses the mark entirely. The Room: Our "Superior" two-story room was a logistical nightmare for a toddler—bed upstairs, cot downstairs, and a stair gate that bizarrely starts on the third step. Room quality is inconsistent; our relatives in another room on site featured a bird nests right outside the door, leaving droppings at the threshold. Safety & Kids: The main play area has no shade from the heat, and the Aquapark has frustrating safety rules. Parents aren't allowed to slide near or after young kids, meaning your six-year-old has to navigate the slides entirely out of sight unless you walk them up and sprint back down the stairs. Food & Service: The buffet is repetitive, with hot and cold temperatures mixed up. They don't even offer standard poolside favorites like gyros. Reception staff are consistently irritable and harsh in tone. Hidden Fees: Booking car hire through the hotel resulted in surprise charges for a child seat and unexpected insurance pressure (€800 deposit or €10/day), forcing us back to the room for cash. My kids are happy playing in the pool and eating fish fingers, but as adults, we are incredibly underwhelmed. Do yourself a favor: stay at a nicer hotel nearby and just visit the waterpark for a single day trip.
The hotel is nice and the rooms are true to the photos. My children had a great time loved the waterpark and wave pool. I was very impressed with the lifeguards, they take no prisoners and very reassuring that they are watching. The food was fine but not much variety , similar every night but you expect that from all inclusive so not a criticism. The waiting staff were fantastic really friendly and efficient.. If you are booking lunches or the shuttle bus , do it early the day before as you can be "too late" otherwise. Reception staff are friendly but ask your rep about anything not directly accommodation related. If you book an upgraded room. Email the hotel a few days before to confirm as there was a mix up which they did sort(partially because of the way the request was phrased) but still we had to spend the first night in the standard room. Very small not really suitable for 3 unless the child is small. A lot of Ants but if you ask reception they will come and clean them. Just a fact of life there not much they can do and they do try and get rid of them. Corfu is beautiful and definitely go in to town. Not much for teens but great fir small kids. A friends trip would fund it too kids focused. Viv
Me and my family stayed in aqualand for 2 weeks and it was by far one of the best holidays I’ve been on, The entertainment was something different every night which everyone looked forward to and got everyone laughing. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the area, the bus is right outside the hotel which takes you into Corfu town and brings you back later on which is included in what your paying for the hotel. What really made the experience special were the two entertainers, Roman and Leo they were amazing with all the activities like water polo, water gym, darts, and football. Their energy and friendliness made everything a lot of fun and kept everyone entertained throughout the day they made an outstanding effort to try and get everyone involved and made sure nobody was left out which made a lively and friendly environment through the day.Overall I would definitely go back and would recommend aqualand to anyone who is thinking of staying in Corfu
We recently stayed at the Aqualand Resort Corfu as a couple with our two children, and we had an absolutely fantastic holiday. It is the perfect resort for families and we highly recommend it. The water park is incredible, and we spent a lot of our time enjoying the wave pool, which was a huge hit with both the kids and the adults. On top of that, the daily activities were great and really varied. A huge thank you to Roman and Léo, two top-notch animators who are incredibly dedicated, friendly, and hard-working. Our children also absolutely loved the Kids Club and made the most of it every day, which allowed us parents to truly relax and enjoy our time. The evening entertainment was also very entertaining, with a special shout-out to the Fire Show which was spectacular. Thank you to the whole Ilios team for their amazing energy every single night. We also want to mention the bartenders, who were always very friendly, smiling, and efficient. Overall, it was a perfect stay from start to finish. If you are looking for a great family holiday, go for it without hesitation. We would love to come back
